Terrible £50 for four drinks AVOID asked a nice waiter if we could have drinks only, when I asked for the bill the barman said restaurant only and charged me £50. Horrible end to a lovely evening

Such a beautiful spot, so calm, and with such genuinely friendly staff all day long. Room was quiet, good a/c, view over the sea (thank you for giving us this room !). This is a haven of peace which we desperately needed.
The morning breakfast was on buffet form, fresh and varied for all tastes. Cold meats, smoked salmon, yoghurt, vegetables, pancakes, different sorts of breads and desserts, fruit and different drinks available (orange juice freshly pressed, tea, coffee) - I had double expresso with hot milk (additional cost). Eggs of all preparations !

Lunch was quiet and the chef prepared food on request as at dinner time. The dinner menu was equally as enticing as at lunch.

We spent 2 weeks here in August 26, and loved every minute. We spent most of our time the first week by the pool relaxing. The second week we hired a car to visit around the area, in Turkey. It is well worth doing to see how people live and historic sites of interest.

My husband had a couple of massages which did him the world of good.

This hotel is in an amazing location with beautiful surroundings. It does take 2.5hrs to get there from the airport, inc approx 35mins around the mountains. Thankfully the drivers drive slowly through the hairpin bends. The journey is worth it for the views. On arrival we were impressed with the greenery and look of the hotel grounds. The reception welcome was a little rushed but polite enough. We were given room G09 which we paid extra for - 'Superior Sea View'. I'll give my thoughts on this. The infinity pool is stunning with plenty of beds. We were B&B only, more on this too. The room was large but very bare and plain and I think it needs updating to be honest due to ware and tear. There were large marks on the floor, the curtains on the balcony doors were not wide enough when closed and left a large gap either in the middle or at the end depending on how you closed it. The large side window curtain brackets were coming away from the wall. There was one chair in the room but two of us. The chairs on the balcony were low and not very comfortable, no cushions and you were made to sit right back (not very upright). The sea view is questionable as its blocked by pine trees....The bathroom was ok but Ive seen a lot better in a 5star. There was a plank/sheet of wood lent up under the sink to hide the pipes. This fell a couple of times when knocked by accident. The shower definately needed work as the waste grill looked old and marked. The magnifying mirror wasnt fit for purpose as it didnt angle down for comfortable use. Im 5ft 4in and it was too high for me. The bed was really comfortable but there is an illuminated green exit sign over the room door which is visible from the bed and lit up the room at night. There is tea, coffee and plenty of water provided but, you had to pay for milk and coffee pods. Very strange for a 5 star. I bought a small cartons of milk from the supermarket for less than 50p to keep in the fridge so dont understand this? Breakfast...didn't really cater for uk guests. The 2 cereal dispensers were blocked by bowls of condiments which had to be moved each morning to get to the dispenser, the area was quite tight for rearrangement. Every morning we had to ask for cold milk and a spoon to be able to eat the cereal. Lots of breads, cold meats/cheese and they make fresh omelettes and eggs on request which were good. Staff....not very engaging or smiley. However, the staff from Bali were amazing and friendly. We found the receptionists to be a bit stand offish (2 young women) They either didnt understand and weren't very friendly. I overheard others comment about this by the pool too. I should add that the clients at this hotel are predominantly from other countries. Music...the music at this hotel was way too much for us. It starts at 8am when breakfast starts and goes on for the rest of the day. Can we not just sit and listen to the peace and quiet or the sea anymore. Twice we had to ask for the music to be turned down (not off) by the pool as you cant listen to your own music or concentrate to read. We had to request a breakfast box as we had an early trip to go on. The receptionist kept repeating lunchbox and even though I kept correcting her, our breakfast, which wasnt even ready for the requested time and we had to chase it up, was plastic bags with a banana, plum, bottle of water and a baguette with ham,cheese, strip of cucumber and 3 halves of tomato. It was very bad, see photos and as dry as the Sahara. There are a lot of steep steps from the rooms to the beach level, not a problem for us but would be for others. The pool shower room was not nice. Drain in toilet filthy and it was like this for at least 4 days. Soap dispenser has seen better days. In conclusion, beautiful location, staff from Bali were lovely. Rooms not great, bed comfortable, breakfast OK. Pool area spolit by the constant loud music. Views and area stunning. Just to add we did request a change of rooms but the hotel was full.
