Yel Holiday Resort

Absolutely loved this gem of a find . Hotel is great staff are wonderful and don't stop cleaning and working . We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay . And have already booked to go back for 3 weeks next year . Food was great something for everyone all day long and most of the night .

Spent a week here with my daughter (13) and we were both totally won over by the place. It's size makes it quite an intimate stay - a nice change from the vast, sprawling resorts we have visited previously.

Rooms are dated as has been mentioned - but AC and shower were both good. We were in A Block, so nearer to reception, and there wasn't much noise there - walls are thin though, and if your neighbours are talking on their balconies, they may as well be in your room with you.

Had to get up pre-breakfast every day to secure sun beds... had one weird experience of someone moving our towels and saying they were there first(!) but they ended up moving elsewhere.

Zero problem with food... nice daily breakfast spread (could have done with some Turkish simit though!) Simple lunch buffet, a snack-time table service, and dinner was always good. Yes, lots of chicken and rice... but variations of, and fine with us. Desserts weren't amazing... we found a few things that we liked most and stuck to those most nights. (Can't go wrong with watermelon!)

Entertainment team Gadget and Gizmo are super fun... we did pool gym and pool volleyball everyday. Volleyball was a good laugh - got pretty heated some days! Evening entertainment, we had karaoke x 2, bingo, belly dancer, acrobats, and a live band.

No daytime or evening entertainment on Sundays - so the whole resort was a lot quieter as people chose to visit the nearby towns Oludeniz and Hisaronu.

Oludeniz was nice - we had dinner there one night, Hisaronu is a ghost town during the day and a bit of a tourist trap. Hit the green button at reception to get a cab - 300-400tl to get to Oludeniz or Hisaronu.

A101 supermarket below the hotel is your friend - everything is so cheap in there. Stock up on poolside snacks and sweets from there.

Babadag cable cars are a must! Give yourself plenty of time to get up the mountain as there will be queues for a sunset view.

I can see why Yel gets so many repeat visitors... and there's a good chance we'll return!

We’ve had an amazing time at Yel this summer and honestly can’t thank all the staff enough for making our holiday so enjoyable! ❤️

🌟 Reception – Always helpful, but a special mention has to go to Ozan, who went above and beyond for our family. Nothing was too much trouble!

🎉 Entertainment team – So friendly, helpful and always trying to get everyone involved and feel welcome. They really do make the atmosphere at Yel what it is!

🍹 Bar staff – Ennes and Mohammed are the best! 😂 After day two they already knew our drink orders and always served us with a smile. Absolute stars!

🍽️ Restaurant & kitchen staff – So efficient and friendly. Your plates are cleared quickly, and the chef actually comes out, talks to you and checks that you’re enjoying your food.

🍳 Breakfast chef – What a lovely, friendly guy! Cooking in that heat every morning and still doing it with a smile. 👏

🧹 Housekeeping – Friendly staff, lovely clean rooms and the communal areas are always spotless.

🏊‍♂️ A massive shout-out to the pool man! He works tirelessly every day. If you can’t find a sunbed, he’ll find you one! A genuinely lovely man who works so hard. ❤️

🥤 Drinks – The only downside for me was that the only diet option was Coke. As I’m diabetic, I just bought some other drinks from the shop downstairs, so it wasn’t a major issue.

🍴 Food – Good variety and there was always something to eat. Snack time was definitely my favourite! 😂

🎟️ Excursions – If you’re looking to book excursions, contact Seren Travelagency on Facebook. He comes directly to the hotel, sells you the tickets there, offers very fair prices and is a really nice guy. We booked the jeep safari and waterpark, both of which were brilliant. We would definitely have booked more if we’d had more time!

Overall, we’ve had such a fantastic holiday and met so many lovely people. Yel really does feel like a home from home, and we’ll definitely be back! ❤️🇹🇷
