Why this hotel is rated 3 stars beggars belief! (+) Pretty much the only positive is the location a few minutes walk from the beach! (-) Most staff are rude, the rooms are run-down, breakfast includes at least one non-fresh item daily (stale bread, cucumber, tomatoes etc), they water down the tea refills that it almost tastes like water, you have to ask for the sugar every time instead of placing it on tables, guests are rushed through breakfast to free up tables, even where there free tables around, and where there is ample space to place additional tables, water is not included in the breakfast and you have to pay extra! They reuse leftover toilet paper rolls from other guests, the hair conditioner smells rancid and leaves a nasty smell in hair, toilet seat, lamps, and plugs are broken. They only clean the rooms every other day, and they always forget something and you will be forced to go to reception to get it yourself. The beds are stone hard, you wake up every time you turn and end up with sore muscles in the morning. The internet access cuts off every few minutes and you have to keep entering username and password every few minutes. You are not allowed to bring food and even any drinks to the room, and of course you are not told that when you book, but only after you have arrived! Very pushy and rude restaurant manager, with a fake smile, he is there almost every time you leave or enter the hotel, trying to get you to eat at the restaurant. He will abruptly leave you mid-conversation when he spots other tourists passing by to try to convince them to book at the restaurant. Yet they have the audacity to charge guests outrageous amounts of money to stay there! Needless to say, we feel way shortchanged for the massive amount of money we paid, and will never return to such a "hotel", do yourself a favour, and save yourself from a bad experience by booking somewhere else!
It was a very average stay for a 3 star hotel, I did not have massive expectation for the price which is reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was adequate, room was quite small, location is excellent for beach access. We only stayed over one night which was fine.
A friend & myself have just spent 10days at Orange, I went here for a meal in May after staying somewhere else & thought it would be a good base to come away on my own for a week as they were so friendly & accommodating & I wouldn’t need a taxi to get anywhere, a friend asked to join me so we decided 10days would be perfect. The hotel is quite small, family run & a very safe feeling about it. We used it mainly as a base as we were a minute from the beach where we spent most of our time, the pool area is quite small but we didn’t need it. Breakfast was brought to your table with so much to choose from but if you fancied something else, omelette, fried eggs etc they were happy to accommodate you. Rooms are basic but we weren’t in them very much, everything you needed was there. There’s an upstairs dining restaurant which is fabulous! 10/10! The staff are amazing & work so hard to please their customers, you won’t be disappointed eating there, they give you their full attention, a real pleasure. We’re already looking to go back! Bravo 👏 Orange, see you next year 😊 Jen & Clare x
Vistes the restaurant upstairs on our final night. Wish we’d gone earlier. The food and service was absolutely amazing. So tasty and the meat was so tender. I had the Turkish clay pot, meatballs were so tasty. My partner had something recommended by the waiter Ramazan, it was minced beef made into like a big burger topped with mashed potato with cheese surrounded by a Turkish like gravy. Gorgeous.
Nice small hotel located close to the beach and with a selection of good restaurants nearby.
We stayed at this hotel on a B&B basis for two weeks recently.
Pros: Proximity to beach, restaurants and shopping Great little pool on site which was never crowded Fabulous waiting staff, especially Ramazan and Chetin. Amazing service. Rooms cleaned well, bed linen and towels always changed.
Cons:
Room much smaller than expected compared to pictures on website for a standard double room as too narrow to even get a bedside table each which was a bit annoying.
Bathroom very small, very tired and needs updating.
An additional 2 euro per day for a room safe.
WiFi very poor.
In Summary: I don’t think we would stay at this hotel again purely due to the quality of the room. Our room may have been one of the least expensive at the hotel, but it still wasn’t cheap and there’s other better options around. However, we would visit the restaurant again as even though it was not the best food we had on our holiday, it was still nice and the meals were made special by the staff’s fabulous service. They are a credit to the hotel.
