Paradise let down by a smokers paradise.
The staff make this hotel they work their socks off for the customers, we stayed for a week, the food was OK we never felt the need to eat out and there was always something to eat, the chef station was good Tuna steaks Roast Chicken. the salads were very good and tasty, Breakfast has a wide rage of foods to choose from. we relaxed round relax pool most days and the pancake lady was brilliant, the large pool was too noisy for us but of course that's an age thing, the room was large but basic, the entertainment was very good , now for the down side, this hotel is a smokers paradise if you are a non smoker then beware, there is a large half covered seating area that leads into the restaurant where smoking is allowed it was like walking through smog i kid you not, non smokers had to sit in the reception area to try and escape the smoke though most days and nights it blew into the reception area, for people with COPD or Asthma this was very unfair, one night i reported two people who were vaping while sat in the reception area, the staff told them to stop but it shows the sheer ignorance of smokers when they think it is fine to do that, Turkey is a long way behind the UK on smoking bans it needs to catch up, we met some very nice people during this holiday we enjoyed it but the smokers rule here and for that reason we will not be going back, Olu Deniz is paradise but it is a smokers paradise.

If it wasn't for the staff
Where do I start. Staff amazing lovely people, work hard friendly. The hotel very dated, dont be fooled by the WiFi you have to pay for this its not free, it cost £21.00 for two devices you can not use multiple this price was for five days. As soon as you walk out the hotel its gone. We had a late flight was leaving at 19.30 and they turned it off on us so you don't even get it until the you leave. Drinks are your standard all inclusive, beer flat cocktails not bad. Food again the same as all inclusive the usual nothing special but thats fine unless you eat either the beef stew or the salad then expect to be ill for a couple of days. If your asked do you want to play bingo, its £15.00 a pop thats for a strip. You win half price things but its only for one person, great if you holiday on your own. Sun loungers as it was October you could get them fine could do with the cushions being renewed as they are like paper. The towels in the room don't get changed, you do however get a fresh pool one every day you have to go and change them before 12pm. If you like cats this is definitely the place for you they are everywhere inside the hotel in the restaurant, in the reception area, there is the odd chicken around aswell. The location is great right on the beach, make sure you look up or you may get hit by a paraglider. You can use the spa shower room if you have a late flight, the hairdryer blew up though, the spa woman asked was I using it with "wet hands" ( as I always us electric gadgets while my hands are wet NOT) she never asked if I was okay, but here I am. The staff carry this hotel as they are so nice, apart from the entertainment fella, he is never around apart from when he wants you to pay fifteen quid for bingo. All in all I won't be back. Shame really its go so much potential.
Perfect hotel
I had a really lovely time at this hotel! Everything was great, from the atmosphere to the entertainment. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the animation team was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. They were always full of energy, friendly with everyone, and made sure there was something fun to do throughout the day. The evening shows were also really enjoyable, and you could see how much effort the team put into making everyone happy. They created such a fun and positive atmosphere, making it easy to meet new people and enjoy every moment. Honestly, the animation team made my holiday even more special! Thank you for all the fun, laughs, and great memories. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again! ❤️🌴
Best hotel best staff
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and honestly, it was much better than we expected after reading some of the negative reviews. We came here to see it for ourselves, and we are really glad we did!
The food was delicious, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. The bars were also great, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. All the employees were very kind, helpful and always smiling, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the entertainment team and their manager. They were fantastic, energetic and did a great job keeping everyone entertained throughout the day and evening. You can really see how much effort they put into making guests happy.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend giving this hotel a chance rather than relying only on the negative reviews. We came, we saw, and we enjoyed it! We would happily come back again.
Dire look elseware.
This is the hotels selling point is its location, with the beach on the doorstep and the Shops, Bars and the Strip an easy walk (I am mobility disabled) no more than 5 minutes away.
But the hotel itself is more 2*. Having to pay extra for an old safety deposit box (Key operated, so you had to carry a key everywhere) and the free Wi-Fi is only available in the tiny lobby area and very restricted in speed and what it will work with, so you had to pay extra for Wi-Fi (Why in this day and age)
The room we had 906 was ok but very basic. and in Dire need of full refurbishment. We had a fabulous maid she did her best to make the room look nice even replenishing water and Pepsi in the fridge.
The Guy from the Spa was chatty and knowledgeable about the area. He explained what the Spa had to offer and was not pushy at all a great change from other hotels.
Having read plenty of reviews about the food prior to arrival we weren't expecting al-a- cart dining in the restaurant and it matched the reviews so the hotels reply's to the reviews has been ignored. the food in restaurant was not nice and many times cold whilst under heating lamps and VERY repetitive. Were not fussy eaters but we struggled to find anything decent eat on a number of occasions and we went out for dinner.
The waiting staff where ok, some better than others, no consistency. Do expect the moment your plate is empty or just before you finish eating for your plate/bowl to vanish with no interaction. At evening meal expect to go for your own wine/drinks it is not brought by default. you might get lucky with some waiting staff but not the norm.
As others have stated there are two pools a bigger general/family pool and the small "quiet" adults only pool, which is meant to be for people over 16 but parents where bringing toddlers around making noise and getting in the pool. Signs clearly states the entrance quiet pool age 16 and over only. reception staff weren't interested.
Entertainment was shocking to say the least, and the animation team... (What team) The entertainment compare was a real pain All announcements were gabbled so fast he sounded like an American auctioneer in Russian, German, Dutch and lastly English. but it was so fast with an accent you couldn't understand what was said. the Highlight of the week was a game of BINGO wowwowow realy. the external evening acts were cheap and dire, the Mongolian night they were dropping juggling clubs left right and centre, fancy skipping rope kept getting it wrong and having to restart. another Turkish night (or similar) two Whirling dervishes a guy and a girl, well she fell over arms and head were in all the wrong positions (yes we have seen it done properly. as a protected cultural heritage.) it was so bad you could have sent your kiddies up on stage and told them to run and spin around demented and it would have been better.
mid stay we had a real thunder and rain storm its on youtube. we had water flooding in through our roof as did a couple of other rooms. we reported to room under a couple in inch of water and eventually the room maid turned up to mop up the room. roof still dripping. rain eventually stopped we chased reception again to move rooms and the maid turned up again and mopped up again and we were told no rooms were available to move to and we got no appology. so we had to stay the rest of the holiday in a damaged room. the day after the grounds people were all over hotel clearing gutters etc.
with prices the world over going up so much and the Tax hike in Turkey making it nolonger a cheap place to keep comming back to visit, would i come back here? to turken not any time soon and to this hotel not until it has had a big make overand it needs them sooner than later. The management need to sort out the hotel as it's more a poor 2* when it could be a great 4*
