Montebello Resort

This is a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location - only about 10 minutes walk from the beach with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby (which you won't need, as the hotel.offers all inclusive package and the food is delicious with plenty of choices. The rooms are slightly dated but it doesn't matter as anything else makes up.for it - Reception staff is really attentive as well as the entertainment team. I definitely recommend and would stay here again.

First impressions that stayed with me in the 10 nights we spent here were: Beds very hard (seems most hotels in Turkey have medium to hard beds but this one was a bit harder than ‘norm’) Room itself clean and spacious and the cleaners did every day except one when we asked them not to. The bin in the toilet was inadequate as you had to use your hands to open it as the lever was worn. If you know you know - yes of course one washes their hands anyway afterwards but yuk! First couple of days we weren’t impressed by the food much but it was ok. There’s enough variety to find something you like but one can only eat so much salad! Entertainment? Darts, pool aerobics and kids club during the days. Two slides one winding and one straight in a pool at the side of the hotel - much better than being in the main pool which was always busy. Evenings started with little ones doing some dance moves with an amazing young lady who also took them to kids club in the afternoons. Various dance groups for an hour 9:30pm. Also the bar upstairs does various cocktails and drinks that you can’t get downstairs. These are charged to the room when you leave. Swim up rooms - family had one and the pool wasn’t in the sun until late afternoon so they spent time at the main pool which gave welcome relief from the sun. The main thing I felt with this hotel is the unfriendly manner of a fair few of the staff. Turkish people are well known for their hospitality and particularly in the main restaurant during the day it was certainly not a happy place. Don’t get me wrong some of the hard working youngsters were polite and always smiling but not as good as other hotels we’ve been to. I doubt we will return there

Montebello is a lovely hotel overall. The stand out is the welcoming and generous staff who make sure to smile, help and chat with you, particularly Arthur who is a genuinely lovely man, with a bright future ahead of him. The food is also great, with no trouble finding something nice to eat, however I would advise that as it is all inclusive this can feel a little repetitive but that I expected having been all inclusive previously and we were only staying a week so this was not really a big issue. The hotel is clean and well looked after, the pools are fab and plenty sun-bed choice with pool activities during the day however a swim up room is really good value and we enjoyed this little luxury and a quieter pool area. We would return, I think it’s very good value for money and enjoyed our holiday and the Turkish sun.
