Not the experience we were expecting. If you want a hotel full of loud people who drink from the moment the bar opens until it closes, with no consideration for others, then this is the place for you. When we arrived at 23:30, we were told we could get a drink from the rooftop bar. However, when we went up there, the staff told us it was closed. The hotel needs to be more accommodating for late arrivals, especially when you are willing to pay for drinks. This resulted in us having to walk to a bar down the road. Frustratingly, the following night, the bar stayed open solely for the two Turkish bar staff to entertain two extremely drunk European women. We don't know how the night ended, but we could see everything from our balcony, and the lights were eventually turned off with the women still inside. The hotel's cleanliness is very poor. The area around the pool is grimy, and the floor was not cleaned during our entire stay, except for where they hold the entertainment. While the cleaners changed the beds and gave us fresh towels, the floors in our room were never cleaned. Empty drinks and plates were just left everywhere around the entire premises for days. Our room also stank foul at times. The smell can only be described as a men's urinal, to the point where you literally had to hold your breath while showering. This is the loudest hotel we have ever stayed in. I did not sleep the entire holiday due to the rock-hard beds, constant door slamming all night long, and the cleaners rummaging around the corridors at the crack of dawn. If you want a relaxing holiday, this is not the place. Everyone is crammed around the pool on sunbeds like sardines. There is only one bar area near the pools, which is also crammed with tables. This is where they host all the entertainment and play games throughout the day, like killer pool. Not everyone wants to listen to drunken louts—and yes, I am referring to grown men—screaming over a game of pool alongside loud music. The hotel has two restaurants, one for the daytime and one for the night. These areas could be utilised much better. They should turn one of them into a relaxing lounge and bar where people can sit, relax, and enjoy a drink. This would give guests the option to get away from the loud pool area and the poor entertainment. The belly dancing show was ruined when the performance turned into the dancer soliciting tips from the audience by having guests shove money down her bra, giving off clear strip club vibes. What the positive reviews are about is completely unclear, and why people return is beyond our entire party. The only good point was the food selection, which was nice, though it did get repetitive.

Been to Olu Deniz for 15 years but never stayed at the Montebello Resort before. We found the food served at each meal time to be very good, always something for everyone. We stayed in room 3105 which was a swim up room. We had sun in the afternoon from about 2pm. We really loved the swim up room especially as it was always so busy around the pool and when we had 5 days of rain, we were still able to sit outside, albeit it under a parasol! Only thing I would say was the pool was absolutely freezing, even colder than the main pool. Such a shame they don’t heat their pools in Turkey during the cooler months. Staff were friendly, especially in the restaurant and behind the bars. We didn’t see much of the animation team or photographer, but that’s only because we didn’t stay around the main pool much. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only thing that let the hotel down was the cleaning. We had to ask reception to get the cleaners back as they literally only emptied out bin. The floor was dirty, the bathroom was never cleaned and we had to request clean towels and to have our beds changed a week into our holiday as they hadn’t been done. Corridors weren’t kept clean either. Would we come back, yes definitely, as it was a great hotel, and offered everything we needed. I just hope the standards of cleaning improves for next time and it was just a blip at the end of a busy season.

Montebello Resort is a fantastic hotel to stay at. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to accommodate you. The hotel is very well maintained, and the food overall is great.

The entertainers are incredible and fantastic with both children and adults. They make you feel comfortable and help build your confidence when taking part in the water games. The bar staff are also amazing — they’re always up for a laugh and are incredibly sweet and friendly to talk to. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

At Montebello Resort, they also offer an amazing photoshoot experience, including individual or group iris photography, as well as photoshoots with family and friends.

Fred was absolutely incredible throughout our photoshoot. He made us laugh and feel completely comfortable from start to finish. While talking to Fred about our lives, we mentioned that we were expecting a baby, and he incorporated this into our photos by taking beautiful maternity photos of me and my partner.

The photos turned out absolutely incredible and even brought tears to our eyes. They are such a special memory that we will treasure forever. If you’re staying at the hotel, I highly recommend booking a photoshoot with Fred. The photos make perfect gifts or beautiful memories for yourselves and your family.

Hopefully, we’ll be back after our baby is born so we can have some more photos taken and create even more special memories.
