- Katre Hotel Oludeniz

This family-friendly hotel is located at just 350 m from the beach in the resort town of Oludeniz. Nestles between the mountains on Turkey's southern coast, the area offers some places with mesmerizing beauty such as the famous lagoon, which is just a 15-minute walk away and there a number of excellent hiking trails which will surely intrigue all outdoor-types. Those just want to take advantage of the Mediterranean weather will be also at the right place, they can spend their days sunbathing on the sun loungers around the outdoor pool or lazing around with a book in hand in the shaded garden. Afterwards they can treat themselves to a soothing massage or hop into the sauna for a few minutes before heading to the restaurant for a delicious meal.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Disappointing all-inclusive experience
We stayed at Hotel Katra in Ölüdeniz for a week. Unfortunately, although there were some positives, the overall standard of the hotel did not meet our expectations and we would not choose to stay here again.
The positives: The bed was soft and comfortable, the air conditioning in the room worked well, and the hotel is in a good location, making it convenient for getting around Ölüdeniz.
Housekeeping and cleanliness: Our room was not cleaned at any point during our week-long stay. We had to contact reception ourselves to request fresh towels, toilet rolls and water. The area immediately outside our room was also poorly maintained, with rubbish left around the grounds. This included a broken outdoor table that had originally been provided for our room.
There was also no kettle in the room, with only two plastic cups provided. While this may be a minor issue, it would have been useful to have basic tea and coffee-making facilities.
Food and drinks: The food offered very little variety. The menu appeared to repeat every other day, so there was limited choice for guests staying for a full week. Snacks were also very basic, consisting mainly of cake and biscuits.
For an all-inclusive package, we found the drinks selection particularly limited. The alcoholic options available were vodka, gin, raki, beer and wine. Unfortunately, we found the wine extremely poor in quality and not enjoyable to drink.
The advertised all-inclusive bar hours were also disappointing. We understood all-inclusive drinks to be available until 11pm, with the bar remaining open until midnight. However, on occasions the staff began closing the bar around 10:30pm.
Swimming pool: We did not use the swimming pool during our stay because we did not see any obvious daily cleaning or maintenance taking place. This was enough to make us uncomfortable about using it.
Overall, the good location, comfortable bed and effective air conditioning were the main positives for us. However, the lack of room cleaning, having to repeatedly request basic supplies, the condition of the surrounding grounds, limited food variety, poor-quality wine and issues with the bar hours significantly affected our stay.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend Hotel Katra and would not return. We hope the hotel takes this feedback constructively, particularly regarding housekeeping, cleanliness, food variety and the delivery of the all-inclusive service.
The hotel is in very good location to the beach the breakfast need more choices and lunch too and I will say thank you to zayneb receptionist she very helpful and all the staff were all good
Another May holiday at the Katre where the staff are fantastic. Bar staff 👏 Reception 👏 Food 👍 Pool 👍 Room maids 👏
There have been further positive upgrades to the site since our last visit, new apartments/refurbished rooms… and a new pizza oven which sees fresh pizzas added to the all inclusive menu! Pizzas were fantastic!
We have just returned from 9 nights at the Katre, we went with our two grown up children and their partner/friends. We had a fantastic time. The pool area is lovely with new sun beds and stunning views of the mountains. They have a new restaurant and bar with lovely outdoor seating area. Breakfast is an assortment of cereals, fruit, veg and either freshly cooked made to order pancakes or omelettes. They are delicious! Lunch and dinner was a wide range of fresh salads, a choice of mains plus accompaniments and a selection of desserts. For the price you pay the food is good, the men in our group piled their plates every meal time. The staff are friendly and helpful and give great service. The rooms have had recent upgrades, our bed was massive with very comfy pillows! The towels were fluffy and changed regularly. The housekeeping team worked very hard! The hotel grounds are clean and tidy at all times. It’s a small hotel with a lovely welcoming feel to it, it’s two minutes walk from the main strip but is quiet, a perfect to place to relax.
We arrived at the lovely Katre hotel in the scenic Oludeniz for the 3rd time in as many years. We were greeted by the fantastic hotel manageress with a big smile as always. The compex has undergone major upgrade's since last year, new bar area and spacious restaurant. The rooms have been refreshed with new beds, pillows, fluffy towels and excellent air con making the nights really comfortable.
The food was great, cold drinks, generous measures with the all inclusive.
New sun lounges and parasols in the revamped pool area. In the 10 days we stayed there was more than enough sun lounges to go around (no mad rush in the mornings)
Great hotel with a mountainous backdrop, perfect for watching the paraglides from the sun lounger. Located 4min walk from the main strip and beach.
Highly recommend.
