Having stayed at this hotel 4 times previous I was really looking forward to going back. My stay was ruined by the hotel manager. From the start he was rude. Our room had ants everywhere, massive stand on the walls. The bathroom was mouldy and the door didn’t lock. When I asked for this to be sorted he was very rude and tried to say it was the card I said. I it’s the lock. After me being spoken to really bad and me standing my ground he finally sent maintenance to fix it. Breakfast is not great or worth the money. Food very nice from the menu. Pool area is nice but this stay it was dirty and stones in the pool which hurt your feet. Staff at the bar were lovely. It’s put me off ever going back to turkey again
The only good thing is the location, overpriced , the hotel is old, rooms not that clean , breakfast is not worth the money , we ordered extra bedsheet , since the one they gave us is paper thin , 3 times we requested and they didn't bring it , parking is available if you ask for it , the pool is okay , the water in the shower comes out 1 minute cold another super hot , no toiletries , only shampoo and body soap
Whilst I have to say the hotel itself was very clean and our rooms were cleaned everyday and the restaurant and bar staff were fantastic. My experience was somewhat ruined by the hotel reception manager and his staff. We arrived late at night to be told we had to pay £580 extra for a room upgrade, which was never booked. I refused to pay this so they showed us to our rooms and told me to come and see the manager in the morning. Upon returning in the morning, the manager was waiting for me to pay again to which I again refused. He then told me I would need to change room. He showed me a dark small box room, to which he said I wouldn't like, but if I didn't pay I could leave the hotel or stay here. After another hour of arguing he eventually admitted he had made a mistake with my booking, but said I wouldn't still have to pay £280 to stay in the room I was already in. I paid the £280 just to sort the issue as it was becoming super stressful and I have gone through my bank to get the money refunded. So it's a difficult one to review. Please take no notice of Jamie Benkert and his reviews on this hotel, as he stays there for free and they promote his eSIM company, which is crap by the way. The hotel is clean and the staff in general are very good. The rooms, apart from there luxury section, which are grossly overpriced, are pretty small and in need of major TLC. The breakfast selection is very limited and queues are a problem at the small hot section. A English breakfast is not included in the price of your stay and is around £8 per person. The drinks are quite expensive in the hotel, cocktails and smoothies especially. The pool is ok to be fair and there are enough sunbeds to go round. The umbrella's are a huge issue. Most of them do not stay up and need replacing. You need to take your own beach/pool towels. Would I stay here again......definitely not, but we did have a good holiday in Turkey. Unfortunately the hotel reception for a international hotel is just terrible and ruined the experience. The food on the strip was great and fairly priced as was the drinks. The the shops were great and not to pushy. Definitely and good place to holiday, but I just wouldn't stay here again.
Nice Hotel , close to Beach and shops ,,,
I would highly recommend this hotel . It is located conveniently at the very top of the oludeniz strip. Its restaurant nice and easy has very nice food and we ate there twice for an evening meal and the breakfast was very good too although mainly turkish based they do have an ommelette station, without that we may have struggled. There is a sok supermarket directly across the road from the hotel which was very handy. The hotel is set in immaculately manicured gardens which we had a view of along with babadag from our balcony . It was a beautiful view to wake up to each morning . After breakfast we would sit in this beautiful relaxing little area with sofas and coffee tables and the sound of water fountains, this area is between the restaurant and the gardens. The pool area doesn't really cater to children unless you have a baby or a young toddler so may not be for you. There is no kids club or kids entertainment ( the only entertainment is a couple of nights a week in the restaurant, usually a singer) no pool slides or lifeguards but they do have a very very small splash pool which I'd recommend taking your own kids toys in too (There is a small slide in the garden but not a pool slide) The pool area is lovely and has beds in the pool to sunbathe on, it also has a jacuzzi but most of the jets do not work so don't expect too many bubbles!
I really like the chilled vibe here and the fact that it feels more like an adults hotel. The manager mehmet is a lovely man who always checks up on guests when he see you and always had a great big smile on his face!
There are various different types of room at this hotel and you need to be careful when booking as there are 4 karbel hotels in the area, two of which are next door so make sure you book the karbel sun hotel oludeniz and not karbel beach hotel etc. We got a superior room as I'd seen they have standard (basement type) rooms which were very dated but I wish I'd gone for a large superior as our room was quite small but the balcony was tiny and we couldn't both sit comfortably on it , there was no room for a table either only 2 chairs. The room itself was decorated nicely in a shabby chic style. I'd have liked led lighting around the bathroom mirror but that's a minor thing and the bed was so comfortable we slept like babys for 2 weeks. Shower was also very good. Kettle and safe in room and complimentary slippers! There was also a very small TV on the wall but we didn't use it. All in all amazing value for what your getting as it cost us £1300 for flights and 2weeks b&b for 2 of us!!!
Would definitely go again but choose the slightly bigger superior room in order to have a larger balcony or even indulge in one of their posh themed rooms with a hot tub on the balcony. These are located above the restaurant next to their beautiful reception area. All in all a fantastic hotel and we never go below a 4 star so we were pleasantly surprised with this 3 star and not surprised they were in the top 3 of best hotels in oludeniz!!!
