This hotel enjoys an idyllic setting in the popular hilltop resort of Hisaronu, between Fethiye and Oludeniz. The Babadag mountain range provides a spectacular backdrop to guests' stay. It is some 3 kms to the centre of Hisaronu, where guests will find restaurants, bars and shops and Oludeniz and its shingle beach is some 8 kms away. It is a 10-minute drive to Fethiye and Dalaman Airport is about 75 kms from the hotel. This attractive, modern, family-friendly hotel comprises a total of 48 rooms including 2 family rooms. Facilities on offer to guests include an indoor and outdoor restaurant. The indoor and outdoor restaurants serve Turkish and European cuisine. Parents will be happy to know that the hotel has a playground.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Just came back from a two week holiday at this hotel. This was our second time with the Celay family. We had the best time so much so we've booked to come back in September this year. Nothing is too much trouble. On arrival early hours Sinan was waiting to check us in and take our cases to our room. We booked bed and breakfast but our next visit is half board as the food was amazing. The chef and the team, Mevlut,Inci, Resul and Mustafa served delicious food all day long and the boys who were always happy to wait on you, Abdurrahman, Mehmet,Yigit nothing was too much trouble. George(Orhan) did everything, even down to being handy man when needed always smiling asking "you okay" Arife made sure our room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding every 3 days. Izzy who was reception and worked on the bar was the perfect host, and made sure our room was always okay. Then the bar team, so the Bar man Hacan(the cocktail maker) is always happy and does a great job to make sure everyone is served quickly and looked after. Ulgur who knows everything and loves to have a laugh with everyone, helped me turn a sad memory into a funny one (red red wine) oh and George just to let you know Izzy works so hard 😂. Lastly the owners, this is a beautiful resort, never known anywhere that the owners come talk to you daily asking "how's everything going" even to remember you from our first visit. Massive thank you to the Celay family, Ayten and Celal thank you for making sure we and all your guests have a great holiday. Just also wanted to mention the owners brother Erdogan who's not afraid to help out and do cleaning around the bar. A few things before I forget, take a travel kettle as none in the room, Transfers can be arranged see Ulger, Just outside the hotel over the road a yellow button, for a taxi. This hotel is perfect and a short drive from Hisarono and Oludeniz where pubs bars shops and great entertainment awaits. If you're looking for excursions or trips then Mustafa (Travelicious) the best Turkish bath ever visited. See you all soon, Theresa and Craig(Room 125)
★☆☆☆☆ – Never Again!
Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Celay was a major disappointment.
The rooms are very small, have no air conditioning, and are furnished with outdated, worn furniture. Housekeeping was almost non-existent, and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
The breakfast was very poor, with little variety, and lacked any care or attention. Dinner was on the level of a basic cafeteria rather than a hotel restaurant. Drinks were also overpriced for what was offered.
The swimming pool was heavily chlorinated, making it unpleasant to use.
The location is another downside. It takes about 45 minutes by bus to reach the beach, which is far from ideal for a seaside holiday.
Most of the guests were elderly regulars, and the overall atmosphere felt rather dull and unwelcoming.
Overall, the hotel offers very poor value for money. We would definitely not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
This is now the 3rd time staying here. Lovely hotel with great staff. The rooms are basic but clean, I don't spend a lot of time in my room, just to sleep and shower so it's ticks the box. Housekeeping is daily, fresh towels etc. The rooms do have air conditioning (not sure why previous review states they dont, but they do). There is an additional charge but with most smaller hotels this is the case. Location is great, perfect for wondering into Ovacik for quieter more relaxing meals. Hisaronu is a short taxi ride (taxi button outside of the hotel) for something more lively, or you can walk into Hisaronu from here. Dolmus are regular to take you into Olu Deniz - does not take 45 minutes as in previous review ! Breakfast is turkish - after all you are in Turkey !! Perfect for me, but you can purchase English breakfast. Overall a good base to explore the area, with friendly staff who work very hard.
Arrived at hotel about 1am. At reception were booked in and given keys to room 222. Top floor room with a great view, just what we asked for. A young lad helped take our cases to our room. The room is lovely with shower and toilet.Only a small balcony with two chairs. There is no fridge in rooms which would of been nice, but we knew about this before we booked.Plus no TV in roomThe pool area is lovely with two pools. One is adults only. Kept very clean. The bar area is lovely and serves food all day. The prices of food and drinks is very reasonable. The food is very good. The breakfast is ok. But stayed in other hotels with more choice. You can have full English breakfast at an additional cost. All the staff are very hard working and always smiling. Would definitely come back to this hotel again. Well done to all the staff
We arrived at the hotel at 1:30am and was met with a smile and a very helpful member of staff. The room was comfortable, you will have to pay a charge for air-conditioning £6.00 a night. We went half board, the meals were good a small choice for breakfast and a couple of choices for the evening meal. The staff are brilliant and helpful especially George and his daughter, nothing is to much. Great swimming pool with a very relaxed atmosphere. The brochure states the beach is 3km away, it's actually 3 miles away, fortunately there's a regular bus service which is less than a pound plus the taxi service is cheap enough. All In all! I would recommend this place if you like a slower pace. My wife and I loved the place.
