Ata Lagoon Beach Hotel

We spent 2 weeks here as a family of 8 over 4 rooms which were all quite small and dated with varying degrees of work required which is why I've given 3 stars. The worst by far was an extractor fan actually wired into the shower which would never pass H&S in the UK! There were a few areas around the hotel that we would regard as hazards but let's face it, the UK is rather over the top with H&S. The hotel photos have definitely been well chosen and show the best bits. It's definitely worth paying a bit extra for a deluxe room but even so, our pool view was beyond the tiled roof of the kitchen complete with a sky dish and wires where we could just about see the far end pool brollies!! That being said, the staff are really friendly and helpful and I would have given 5 stars for hospitality. The breakfast restaurant staff are particularly friendly and always greeted us with a smile and hello. They were also ready to pull a couple of tables together for us and after a few days the tables were waiting for us! The breakfast was frustrating at times with either the toaster or the coffee machine not working, however as soon as we told someone, they gave us coffee sachets to use instead. Although not advertised anywhere, you can order an omelette or fried eggs etc at the kitchen window in the restaurant which we didn't realise until the 2nd week! The pool is great and we never had a problem getting sunbeds for all 8 of us. The pool bar took food and drink orders which were all lovely and were charged to the room. Location for both the strip and the beach is great 👍🏼 All in all, even though the rooms were a bit of a disappointment to begin with, we did have a lovely holiday ☺️

Fantastic hotel ruined by the Bar man’s insistence on playing ridiculously loud music round the pool. Totally spoiled the experience
