The place is lovely, stuff is very kind and helpful, we had a lot of laughs and good time, hopefully will go again soon!
I wouldnt go here, had money stolen out of my room by the mangers when i was at hospital getting me ankle seen too, no safe provided in the room, cleaners dont even attend the room the whole time i was there, no shower towel no toilet rolls had to ask, oh and if you want air con for the week in 33 degrees heat, that'll be another £50
Holiday Family An absolute filthy disgusting place. Ants everywhere, cockroaches everywhere. Staff too touchy touchy, when asked not to touch they got offensive and abusive. Alkan too overpowering. The food I wouldn't feed my dog it's disgusting (sour odd sausage, cold, undercooked). The most pleasant person is the girl who does the tattoos all. Management couldn’t care less in any complaint you had. Pay that bit extra and AVOID
Maxwell was a quirky Apart/Hotel. It is dated but what do I expect for the price. The room could have been cleaned more often, but it was cleaned and new towels and toilet paper put in each day. I knew I had booked an apartment so naturally bought some cleaning bits while there. I never stay around a pool or eat often in hotels, but when I ate there I had nice food. Was nice to chat with the chef and he was passionate about making food. I couldn't complain not even 1 time about anything i ate there. What makes Maxwell a nice find where the reception staff. Serdar was such a nice polite young lad and happy to help where possible. If there was any issue he was always there to sort it. Tv wouldn't work he came and fixed it. Always run off his feet but still friendly. The lady booking manager (can't remember her name) was friendly and very accommodating. The staff work hard and do take a lot of crap from guests. Unnecessary crap. I was always greeted each morning in reception, asked how I was and never felt pressure to be going outside to eat or not going to the pool. As long as I felt safe, had a clean bed and hot water that was what I got. I payed for an apartment as a base, somewhere to shower, sleep, eat in apartment sometimes, in hotel sometimes, in a good location. If you are looking for a 5☆ experience then Maxwell is not for you at the price to stay there. I would definetly stay here again. I always travel alone, I definitely felt safe here with no hassle, but different friends came to stay while I was there and we got what we paid for but with the added bonus of reception staff making it a better experience.
If I was to complain about anything while I was staying here, it would definetly be about tourists not handling their drink and then becoming abusive towards staff. Same as in any hotel I've stayed in, it happens, but that's on guests.
Lovely little hotel, not the first time visiting (due to price and location), if you are looking for a 4* star plus then this is not the place for you. Happy with what we received, reception staff very friendly. Room was only cleaned once in 7 days so not too impressed with that especially when you have to place the toilet roll in a bin (last visit the bins were emptied daily). If price was right would come back again as its just somewhere to sleep
