- Hotel Cettia Beach Resort

This fantastic and modern beach resort enjoys an ideal setting at the foot of the beautiful Aegean Coast, where most of the action is displayed during the day. The property is situated close to the harbour and at only a few minutes' drive away from the old town, where visitors will be delighted by its historical buildings and picturesque streets. The hotel features luxurious and tastefully decorated rooms, equipped with all kinds of facilities to satisfy even the most discerning guests. Some of the rooms offer a stunning sea view. Travellers may enjoy delicious Turkish and international dishes in the charming restaurant, overlooking the ocean, and taste some exotic cocktails in one of the hotel's bars. The establishment offers a wide range of entertainment including games, shows and water sports. For those who want to stay fit there is a fitness centre available and guests can also enjoy a moment of relaxation in the spa.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I came to this hotel with my two 16 year old sons who have ASD. The staff were amazing all over. Everyone is so attentive. At the pool bar Şevket was great always taking time with us. The girls in the inside bar were superb. The receptionist girls amazing. My boys loved it so much that we will book for next year.
The hotel was average, not something I’d think an all inclusive would be. No problems with the restaurant staff or bar staff as was so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for you. The entertainment was good but only stepped up when the Turkish people arrived. One problem was the female employee taking towels off sunbeds from British guest's even though we’d been there for 2 hrs and just gone to rehydrate in the bar area and was planning to go back she took our towels and thought it was ok to give to Turkish guests
We were apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, we shouldn’t have been. The hotel is very clean & staff work tirelessly & offer great service, to name a few; Sevket at the pool bar, Dora at the spa (massage was the best we’ve ever had & we returned 3 times in a week) Cihan the photographer takes amazing pictures. Like others have mentioned the food can be quite repetitive, not a lot of choice & not always hot, but there’s always something & a great salad choice so you’d be very unlucky to go hungry. Unless you’re nocturnal forget getting a bed by the very small pool, we were at breakfast for 7 a.m & they’re all gone but you’re steps away from the beach (recommend sea shoes) & not crammed in like some of the other hotels. The balcony area is extremely small 2 chairs & a small table & it’s crammed. Location is perfect away from the hustle & bustle with regular buses if you don’t fancy the walk into the harbour. Yes we’d definitely return to Cettia Beach.
Hotel was brilliant and the staff were even better. They couldn’t do enough for you and very pleasant. The bar man sevket was an absolute gentleman and made getting drinks for easy and enjoyable.
We booked here mostly on reflection of price for 7 nights. We wanted somewhere nice and at short notice. The hotel in itself is good. On arrival there was a friendly receptionist who guided through the check in process and our bags were taken to our room. The room itself was of a good standard. It was clean and stocked with the usual toiletries and mini bar ( which is only free on arrival) I thought the bed was very comfortable, however my husband didn’t sleep well. The only gripe I have about the bed is that the sheet which is on the bed is not nearly big enough for two people so ask for another when your room is cleaned. The pool area is small, beds around the pool go quickly and early. The pool itself is not for those who cannot swim as it is one depth (1.60m) for the most part, but there is a smaller pool to the side which is much more shallow. The outside seating area is situated behind the sun loungers and there is always seating to be had. Outside the hotel is a promonade, turn left and you can walk all the way to Marmaris if you want to, it is a lonnnng way, turn right and you can walk all the way to Ichmeler. This was our favourite walk. The hotel also has a jetty with sun loungers on it which hotel guests can use free of charge. Again the hotel lets itself down here as this could be a lovely boutique area, instead it looks like it’s in need of updating. The umbrellas are broken and blow over quickly in the wind which resulted in them being put down on some afternoons. The sun loungers on the top jetty are in need of repair or replacing and the wood on the jetty is dangerous if stepping on it with bare feet, beware of splinters!! The food is what lets this hotel down. Although we found things to eat every day, it was repetitive and at times not clearly labelled. Some of the food was bland and could have done with a little seasoning. The cakes were not to my taste at all. There is ice cream served at 3pm, I can recommend the caramel and lemon flavours, burgers, chicken nuggets and chips at 4pm and afternoon tea around the same time. Burgers, chips and chicken nuggets or soup served also at 11;30pm. The cocktails are ok. They could be better. There is a basic list of about 10 cocktails which are on the AI tariff. Behind the bar there are branded spirits and other alcohol drinks which are payable. Not once did I see the branded spirits being used. Maybe one day every week they could offer branded drinks on the AI…. You can get an alcoholic drink at breakfast too if that what’s floats your boat, I’m more of a green tea person myself. The entertainment is what you make of it. The entertainment guy, Bruno is a very large personality and likes to talk to and include everybody and is not always politically correct. He may not be to everyone’s taste. The staff work their socks off, particularly where the Turk tourists are concerned. It appears to be they get better service at times. However they all work extremely hard and are friendly and work with a smile. You will be approached by staff who work at the spa, jewellery place in Marmaris and the photo place ( do the photos they are amazing) with their selling pitches but they recognise when you are not interested. Would we return to this hotel, absolutely as it was worth every penny we spent. Did the things which could do with upgrading spoil our holiday? Not in the slightest. Book it, you’ll have a great time😀😀
