Mersoy Bellavista Suites

Ichlemer is beautiful, locals are super friendly. However, when locals apologise when they hear which hotel you are staying at, it gives you a clue! The Mersoy Bellavista presents as a 4* hotel online, but in all honesty, it is barely a 2* ! It is run down, dirty, smelly, and the staff are less than welcoming! Our room looked nothing like the pictures, I even had an old dirty, broken fridge as a bedside table! Mould in the shower, a dirty cotton bud lay on the floor inder the "dressing table" when we arrived - and was still there when we left! Outside, the pool & bar areas were never re-set, with dirty glasses & plates of food left from the night before! The bar was very poorly stocked - not even tonic water available to go with the cheap local gin, no whisky, no rum... basically just vodka, gin, beer, wine & rekki! Only soft drinks were coke zero & sprite. No bottled water or coffee making facilities in rooms, just one old water dispenser and paper cups by bar area, and an old coffee machine and hot water on bar and in restaurant, which was off between 11pm-9am! The restaurant was grubby, no matching plates (not a massive issue really), buffet set up, food was nice but basic and samey, and nothing was labelled, so you had to guess what you were getting and there was no allergen information available! Tables were not reset properly and hunting down cutlery became a game! Advertising states that the hotel staff speak Turkish, English, German & Russian - thats an absolute lie! We had to put anything through Google Translate for them to understand us!!!! No pool towels - and they won't let you take room towels down either. The cleaner woman actually put ours back in our room and escorted us down in the lift so we couldn't go back in for them! Broken glass was not cleared up, just left on the floor by pool, the dining room pictured in Advertising is currently full of dirty old beds being stored! Now, i know plumbing & drains are not as up to date, but the stench as you approached the pool & bar area, passing the laundry was horrendous! The kids club area is another dumping ground for boxes of God knows what. There was NO entertainment at all, daytime or evening! Just a massive old speaker on the bar that the staff connected to their phones and ran their personal playlists through at max volume! Skipping tracks like they were in their bedrooms! Uniforms were incomplete or non existent, staff were scruffy, wearing sliders and smoking behind the bar - when they weren't congrigating round a table!

Fortunately, Ichlemer & Marmaris have lots of nice places to visit and things to do, so we explored alot - and we didn't take the kids this time thankfully, but this is honestly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!!!!

Just returned home from a weeks all inclusive stay at this hotel. On arrival we were shown to all I can say is a squat. The room absolutely stank of mould. There was a mouldy fridge at the side of the bed and a small window, the paint was flaking the bed looked like it needed to go to the tip and the bedding needed a good wash. Within 5 mins of walking into the room I was back at reception asking to move. Long story short I could move rooms but he wanted £300 to start with then £200 and after having to barter we got him down to £150 which we had no choice in to pay. Once we paid the guy from reception told me I was to not speak to the manager about this and it had to stay between us he then put the money into his back pocket! This is a regular occurrence I now know after speaking with other guests This rooms was bigger and had a balcony but it still wasn’t that great but we reluctantly said we would stay in that room. The fridge was leaking, the towels were grey and there was still sick on the balcony on further inspection.

The bar area is filthy the floor round the pool is also filthy. The food is not kept at the correct temperature everything is cold and you don’t even know what half of it is as there are no signs to tell you so god help you if you have any allergies!!

All in all a terrible stay in the whole week I ate two salad butties and had 3 glasses of effes which were all watered down.

There are other hotels in the area literally £50 more and are a lot better. I had family staying in a different hotel and the difference there was unbelievable.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I’ve seen better hostels. There government need to go in inspect it and shut it down it’s that bad!

Do not waste your hard-earned money or holiday days on this place. From the moment we checked in, this resort proved to be a health hazard, unhygienic, and an absolute disaster.Upon arrival, we were put into a "room" that was clearly an abandoned storage space with a couple of single beds and a wardrobe thrown inside. It was fundamentally unsafe: bare live mains wiring was hanging directly out of the wall socket. On top of that, we were warned by staff that if we opened the ground-floor bay doors, they couldn’t be closed again—leaving the room completely insecure, unventilated, and accessible to anyone walking past on the street outside. After complaining, we were moved to a second room the following day, which was just as bad :Severe filth: The bathroom was grubby, stained, and completely unhygienic. The mini-fridge was rusted and disgusting inside. Broken facilities: The shower door was broken, making it impossible to wash without soaking the room. Non-existent housekeeping: Over our 10-day stay, maid service attended the room precisely twice. Bins overflowed and towels were rarely replaced. The "All-Inclusive" board is an absolute scam. The food provided on-site was completely inedible. We could not stomach eating there without risking food poisoning, forcing us to eat out for every single meal across all 10 days. Paying for an all-inclusive package and then being forced to spend over £1,000 extra at local cafes and restaurants just to feed ourselves is unacceptable. To make matters worse, most of the staff were dismissive and unfriendly when approached about basic problems.
