Marti Resort Hotel

Great service, nice and clean hotel and a very nice view. Just amazing

The hotel dates back to the 70s, so its not modern ,but does have charm,its location is perfect, I would say prob middle of all the hotels, a 4 min walk to the right takes you to a canal, either side of it is craft stalls and a few restaurants, at the end turn left and there are loads of shops and bars, you can wander round the shops and wont get harrased, which is great.. Back to hotel, never had a problem getting seats around the pool even at 9.30, infact pool areas were not really busy, people tendered to go to the beach, but only issue with that, is there's no bar there to get drinks, its a cross a path and you have to go back into the hotel to get your drinks THE BARS..there was an issue, as only ever had q member of staff serving, so always a wait,they tended to serve the Turkish ppl first as well, but there is an amazing waiter on roller skates who comes around the pool area in the day, he is great brought me loads of random cocktail that I would never have tried before.. FOOD..i am a fussy eater,but I always found something, its mainly turkish food, so if you want english food avoid, there is chips and onion rings everyday and always pasta, chicken and fish, huge salad section, breakfast you can have fresh omelette, massive selection.of pastries, cereals,fruit and youghurts,but the milk is kept in cartons on the side so never cold The desserts at dinner time are never labeled which annoyed me, I dont like coconut or coffee and could not tell what was in things There is an adult only eating area with air-conditioning which is lovely, but most of the time the tables were dirty and not enough staff clearing them, also was always a shortage on plates One downside with all the food..its was barly warm they leave the lids up on everything, apparently the turkish dont like hot food(thats what our rep told us) During the day you can get cakes and coffee at 2 seperate places and lunch time there is a restaurant by the pool, you order your food and they bring it to a table, the burgers are amazing, we burnt our mouths first time as they were hot and we were used to lukewarm food, you can get salad to go with it and ice cream Entertainment..was not great, few good nights, we went out and walked around a couple of nights There was boules, darts and aqua aerobics in the day Spa.we had a spa treatment and it was amazing, highly recommend it, really nice people who run it, we went on a trip one day and our pick up was 20mins late, one of the spa men was on a break and saw us, he phoned the company for us and they sent a cab as they had missed us .. The hotel seems to be aimed at turkish and Russians, there were loads of locals staying with dogs, appently there are rooms just for them. Room, was ok nothing special, the bathroom unit was all damaged on the legs,wood was all split, same as the door, shower bit where you turn it on was slightly hanging of the wall the water temp varied too,one min hot,next Cold, air-conditioning was not great, but cold enough.. Would I go back again..no mainly because of the food and lack of plates ect at lunch time .
