Beautifully situated amidst a lush green forest yet still less than 50 metres from a private beach, the elegant hotel Grand Yazıcı Marmaris Palace enjoys a convenient location between Içmeler, 2 km away, and Marmaris, 6 km away, where guests can board a ferry taking them to the Greek isle of Rhodes within 45 minutes. The family-friendly hotel offers accommodation for up to 5 persons in a room, and most of the rooms have sea views. Younger guests will love the mini club, playground and the children's pool, while not so young guests will appreciate the wide range of sporting facilities, including various water sports. Culinary options include an outdoor restaurant, an indoor restaurant and an à la carte restaurant on the beach. Guests can relax in the spa with sauna and massage or simply have a drink in one of the cosy bars. An ideal choice for couples and families with children wishing to spend a relaxing holiday.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had an amazing stay. The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Special thanks to Muhammad for being so kind and friendly. Thank you for such a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
This has been our second year in a row at this hotel
Rooms are decent size. What you'd expect for an older hotel, not the most modern rooms but nothing to complain about as such other than the AC needs an update to modern units, doesn't blow too cold and takes forever to cool the room.
Food through the day is great, I doubt you'd find a hotel with as much choice as you will here great choice of pizza, wraps, burgers, ice cream and biscuits. If you prefer a bit more of a quiet setting then I'd recommend going to the pier.
Shoutout to a couple of members off staff who deserve the recognition. Halil down on the pier, always pleasant and hospitable with us for the two years we've been coming here, a real grafter and always goes the extra mile.
Huriye who works at the Pine Bar, again been great with us the last two years we've been, always really pleasant and nice to speak too and always brings our drinks over for us.
And finally to Mohammed at the Pine Bar for looking after us and bringing us drinks too even when the bar is absolutely packed.
Back again this year to celebrate a big family birthday. Delighted to see Mohamed and Huriye still here with their amazing 5 star service. Always remember us and the kids. Makes their day.
My partner and I chose this hotel because it had positive reviews, but our experience was completely different. If you are a light sleeper, value cleanliness, or are sensitive to noise, please read this before booking. While the sea and views are beautiful, the stay itself was exhausting. The Rooms & Beds: Old, Damp, and Loud We had to switch rooms, and neither was acceptable. Room 1:** Incredibly outdated, smelled heavily of dampness, and the AC was as loud as a jet engine. We couldn't sleep at all. Room 2:** Supposedly "renovated," but the bathroom was a masterclass in construction gone wrong—not a single straight line in sight. The AC smelled terrible, making it obvious the filters haven't been cleaned in ages. The Bedding:** The mattresses are rock-stiff, leaving me with body aches every morning. The pillows have clearly lived a very long life. Instead of a proper duvet, you get a single, scratchy, towel-like blanket that isn't even big enough for two people. Cleanliness:** Housekeeping is surface-level at best; there was a visible spiderweb left untouched in our room. Noise Levels: A Sound-Sensitive Nightmare If you value peace, avoid this hotel. The sound bleeding is constant. From inside the room, you can hear neighbors slamming doors, moving furniture, and singing. Outside, it is a chaotic wall of sound: loud bar music clashing with 90s-heavy entertainment music (which blasts until midnight), kids screaming, and loud crickets all at the same time. Beach & Amenities: "Towel Reservations" and Poor Hygiene The Beach:** The sea is lovely and the view is great, but the beach itself is overcrowded. The "Adults Only" section is a myth—every chair is claimed by towels by 8:00 AM. Hygiene Issues:** There are no toilets in the beach area. You have to walk all the way up to the main building. Because of this, it appeared some guests were using the beach changing rooms as a toilet. Food & Snacks: Hits and Misses The food was a mixed bag. My partner thought the food was fine and found the bakery and snacks to be delicious. However, the late-night snack bar had some serious hygiene issues. I noticed insects on the plates, and at one point, a stray cat was actively jumping up and stealing salami from the food line. The Spa: A Mixed Bag Because my body ached so badly from the stiff bed, I booked a massage. The massage itself was surprisingly decent, but the experience was ruined the moment I put my head down into the face cradle—the awful smell coming from the table/linens made it impossible to relax. Service: Virtually Non-Existent There is no real hospitality here; it just feels like the staff is showing up to a job while you happen to be there. It was very common to hear waiters actively complaining to guests that they were "too busy" to bring out drinks. Final Verdict: Maybe this hotel works for people who can sleep through anything, but for me, a beautiful view cannot make up for a complete lack of sleep.
Not very customer centric. Trying to book a holiday with them and need an adapted room. Will not confirm with the holiday company that we will get one as they just say rooms are assigned on arrival and can have one if there is one available. Can't take that risk so will have to change hotel.
