Wonderful holiday great meal
Just back from a 12 days holiday at Elite World in Icmeler. And this was nr 3. The hotel, which is an adult only start to shown the need of an upgrade, from the rooms to the swimming pool and from the gym to the dinning area. That being said, is still worth it due to the staff that make you feel welcomed and appreciate it as a customer. The rooms definitely needs an upgrade as start to show the age. We staid in room 5014 which is on the 5th floor at the end of the corridor. It is a deluxe room(just by name as everything is basic) with a sea view .The first 3 pics are from when we enter into the room. Although the issues were sort it out, this is not what you expect to see from a 4 stars hotel, deluxe room. The all inclusive package that we had was not worth it the money as the food was not very diverse. The pool bar was this time limited to some cocktails and drinks that they weren't make properly all the time(we have been lucky to have Yousuf (probably the spelling is wrong but it is a 5'5, curly hair, turkish guy) every now and then who was doing proper basic drinks like mojito, gin tonic, vodka tonic. We tried a Long Island Ice Tea which was made by what I assume was a bartender, from 3 ingredients😱. The snack bar that we used just a couple of time was not good. The pizza that we tried was soggy 🤮but the fries were fine. Same for the burger. Basic drinks that has to be drank fast as their was served in paper cups and because of that they become soft to the point that you couldn't keep them in your hand. The entertainment at the snack bar was made by an old pool table and a ping-pong table. The gym is so outdated and small with limited machines and weights. The spa had an update with plenty to choose from and this time at a very competitive prices(this year). Bariş is the spa guy, brilliant and very helpful. Also Elena, from the spa reception deserved a big THANK YOU.😁.And if you want a tattoo, Taner is your guy to speak with as he will take you to a hotel nearby where a tattoo/hairdresser studio is available and definitely deserve a visit. But the bigest THANK YOU goes to Sabo, the hotel advisor that we know him for our first visit in 2023. This guy goes above and beyond to every customer so the hotel is lucky to have him. Also a big THANK YOU to Beca(hopefully the name is right) which is the other hotel advisor for stepping in when we felt ill due to some stomach bug that we caught. And those people are just the ones that we directely interact with. Plus, the housekeepers who were very helpful too😊 In terms of activities in Icmeler/Marmaris, there are plenty to chose from but not all of them are good. Plus, the prices on some of them are just mind blowing ,ex: jetski: 1h-€220 or private horse riding at €240😱 And just for anyone who doesn't know yet, on many activities they don't allow you to take your phone or your camera with you for "safety reasons" but the real reason is that they take pictures and try to sell them to you at astronomic prices(one example is the horse riding that sell photos at £50 for single person or £80 for two people). And with this type of approach, you won't be able to show any gd things or bad things that you may see during an activity, which make it impossible to provide a proper review. Overall, still a good experience but as with anything else, you do need to do your research...
This is a lovely hotel. It’s relatively small which makes it more personal. The staff for the most part were very helpful (just one lady on reception who was a little grumpy but it didn’t spoil things). The food was really good with lots of choice. The chocolate dessert was to die for!
The spa however was the highlight for me. It was just amazing. The Turkish bath was so luxurious and relaxing, the staff were so friendly and thoughtful about my treatments and it was very well managed. Big shout out to Devi & Baris who looked after me so well.
If you choose to stay here, my only suggestion would be to ask for a room that doesn’t overlook the Shake Bar unless you’re ok with loud music will 12:30 at night. We moved rooms in the end and it was a lot easier to sleep.
I would definitely go back and highly recommend this hotel experience. You don’t need to leave if you don’t want to. And Prosecco at the poolside every evening after dinner was a great way to end every day!
