- Sahra Su Holiday Village and Spa

Ideal for couples and families alike, this extensive complex consists of 3-floor modern blocks of rooms and single-floor, thatched roof bungalows. In an idyllic location on the outskirts of the small village of Ovacik and some 8 km from the market town of Fethiye, it is surrounded by pine tree clad hills and has a view of Babadag Mountain. Offering a wide range of facilities, it has a relaxed atmosphere with organised animation for those who want it and peaceful places including a spa centre and a choice of outdoor pools. The village of Ovacik is approximately 1 km away and the busier resort of Hisaronu with a range of shops and popular nightlife is 2 km.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Stay away from this hotel! To start with, we had to pay an extra £30 per person for Wi-Fi, which is far too expensive. The hotel was extremely unhygienic in every aspect – the food, the bedroom, and even the drinks. The bed was rock hard, and the only bedding provided was what felt like a towel being used as a blanket. There was a stained, dirty duvet stored in the wardrobe, which we didn’t feel comfortable using. When we arrived, the bathroom had visible pubic hair left behind, making it clear that it hadn’t been cleaned properly. To make matters worse, be careful if you order a drink. The cups were dirty, and one of ours still had pieces of pizza left in the bottom from a previous guest. This level of cleanliness is completely unacceptable. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend staying here. We even left some cash on the bed for the cleaner, hoping the room would be given a thorough clean. Instead, the money was taken, but the room was never cleaned. We returned to find it in exactly the same condition, which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
Absolutely wonderful hotel and staff, specially Mr.Emrah so helpful and he help us so luch, food and drinks options is very good, people is so friendly and nice. Definitely we will back.
Had a lovely holiday. Emrah is very helpful and pleasant with customers funny man. Rooms where good size apart from step into bathroom. Pools are great, we had a swim up room which kids loved. Food was good Entertainment boring for kids would need looked at.
Our family of 4 visited Shara Su for 10 nights in May 2026 ... although the weather was hit & miss at the start, the hotel is fabulous!
The staff really make this hotel! Our son has Autism & ADHD but as soon as we arrived his apprehension was put at ease. EVERY single member of staff was amazing! If you need anything speak with FRANK & The guest relations manager who both are superb & really went out their way to make our holiday as perfect as possible.
Some of the staff even gave up part of their lunch to play football with our son (shout out to "Ronaldo") who had a football with him the whole holiday!
We had a deluxe family swim up bungalow .. this was a game changer! to wake up in the morning with the view of Babadog mountain & being able to relax around our own section of pool! Well worth the upgrade if possible!
The hotel entertainment finished around 10.30pm. There is a cockerel who likes to let you know he is there but that could happen anywhere! There was also call to prey but again if you visit a country where that is the culture then its to be expected.
The rooms were cleaned every day. There were a few minor issues with the room but overall IF there was an issue this was sorted ASAP. You have a phone in the room so you can dial 0 for reception anytime!
DO NOT USE THE HOTEL SHOP!!!!!! ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!!!! And should not be part of an otherwise great family complex. We paid £8 for lynx deodorant as there are no prices. Some friends we had were charged £36 for a rubber ring!
Getting around in the local area is easy, there is a taxi button outside the hotel! Hisaronu is the nearest larger place to go & is very vibrant with lots to choose from and reasonably priced compared to the onsite shop. We had a meal in Suntrap which was the best piece of salmon I have ever had. Also Eclipse was amazing food & very traditional with lovely staff.
We visited Beach 222 in olu deniz blue lagoon, which was just perfect! FREE sunbeds & amazing location/facilities ... We just got a taxi there & back but there are also buses! We even had a giant turtle swim next to our pedalo! (£25 per hour) BUT very with the money.

I was looking at holidays in Spain, when I came across the Sahra Su. Having never visited Turkey before, my son and I decided to give it a go. And we’re so glad we did. The room was clean, well maintained, towels arrived every day and the lady cleaning our room was so helpful- even using Google translate to ask if we wanted clean towels and a fridge restock, on the days we didn't want our room cleaned! The grounds are beautiful and we felt ourselves relaxing the minute we arrived. There are plenty of pools (some adult only) and the main pool, near the restaurant is great- plenty of sunbeds (though there are the usual wronguns claiming beda and never suing them!) but that’s my only gripe. WiFi is reasonable and we found that £20 covered us both for what we needed (Whatsapp calls and iPad games.) The food was great, the staff are fantastic- friendly, helpful and so eager to please. Make a trip to Oludeniz, make an island hop boat trip from there- it’s totally brilliant and worth every penny/ lira. Thanks to everyone at the hotel and all the Turkish people we met for making our holiday so fantastic. THANK YOU- we’ll be back!
