Ocean Blue High Class

I think the 'high class' can be removed from the name. Maybe it was but not so much now. Great location. Close to the main street but quiet at night. Remember the photos are taken when the hotel was new. There is the usual wear and tear. We were in an attic room. Bed quite hard as were some pillows. One pillow very lumpy. take and eye mask as the curtains don't do much, more for decoration than anything else. Bathroom quite snug. Huge cabinet for the sink so when you sat on the toilet your leg was restricted. Don't think it needs that cabinet . And toilet is quite high if you have long legs. Good shower tho. And good Aircon. Take your own shampoo and shower gel as theirs is really thin and takes loads to wash yourself . Pool areas - I don't think around the pool is cleaned very often. I found broken glass and ice lolly sticks in various locations. And anything that ends up on the floor ends up very dirty. Pools are clean tho and water quality good. We were there for 9 nights and didn't manage to get a bed by the main pool. Towels on them all early. There is a sun terrace above the bar as well as two smaller pools at the back. We were there mid June. I can imagine it will be worse in peak season . Breakfast - usual meats cheese and bread. Some cereal. Coffee machine. Tea bags. Water. Juice but it's not fresh, very processed and sweet. Not a lot of variety, pretty much the same hot buffet each day. Beans. Scrambled eggs. Boiled eggs. Some form of potato. Mushroom. You can order omelettes, pancakes and poached or fried eggs. I know you pay more in hotels but they charge 300tl for a plate of chips. That's a fiver!! This is Turkey. Not sure why it's so expensive but prices are going up in the area. All the staff are lovely. Didn't encounter one miserable or unfriendly person so that's a bonus. Cleaners do a good job. Quite a long review but some reviews are only about the staff ) entertainment. If you review a hotel it should be about everything so people can make an informed decision. Although there are some slight negatives, it is a nice hotel and we would stay again.

Arrived late on the Saturday night. Room was very small and no drawers or room to unpack for two people. Balcony was very poor ! Chair had large crack in it and needed a redecoration. Street view. Stains on wallpaper which was patched up in places and curtains hanging off. Disappointing for what we paid and definitely not 4 star standard. Breakfast very basic not much choice at all. Staff however exceptionally friendly and helpful. Parts of the hotel are beautiful there’s a privately owned bar and apartments with pools through the back Typhoon apartments which are stunning and much cheaper the owner lets you use his pools and bar which we found amazing. Turkey is always great holiday and we enjoyed ourselves. The room was poor. Wouldn’t stay again. Sunbeds packed in far too close to each other and towels out at 8 or don’t get a bed .
