We stayed at this hotel from 26th June for one wk. Never again! Shame cause grounds are lovely. But I'm afraid that's where it stops. So after the late night flight we headed to breakfast very poor quality and selection was terrible. Eggs eggs and more eggs!! That was pretty much the choice. Fruit selection was poor too. The choice for lunch and dinner same chicken or fish full of bones and stone cold. This was 2 star at most. The hotel is advertised has a 4 star plus platinum!!! The rooms are very dated. Staff rude. WE HAD 2 NIGHTS WITH NO SLEEP DUE TO A MAN BEATING HIS GIRLFRIEND. This went on most of Sunday 28th June i called the receptionist several times as he was directly above us. And very villaint too. Staff never asked once how we were and didn't remove the man on the Sunday which they should have cause he woke lots of different families that wanted a relaxing holiday. On Tuesday the 30th The man started again beating his wife and arguing from 1.45 in the morning intill 6am. Several guest called and complained to receptionist. The police came twice but didn't arrests the man. But warned the women he was beating. I paid for 2 rooms. And was offered a late check out for one of them. We paid 3000 for our family for one wk. This was no where near worth the money. The food was so poor we eat out nights. Has we normally go 4 or 5 star could not compare this hotel to anywhere else we've have stayed. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST ALL INCLUSIVE WE HAVE STAYED. A ENGLISH MEMBER OF TUI NEEDS TO INSPECT. MY Daughter's room was only. Cleaned twice in a week. Ours new towels and tidy. Floor filthy never mooped. Also a lady told me there was no soap in toilets next to the lunch buffet. She asked staff for soap and I did. 3 hours later still none. This message will be forwarded to tui. We also complained to tui rep on resort site.
This hotel is set in beautiful grounds , I think the owners have taken their foot off the ball and are resting on their laurels of the location. Room tiny , bath towels are like tea towels , room cleaning not very good .In general the cleanliness everywhere wasn’t great , glasses and tables still dirty around the entertainment area at midday next day ! Waiting staff in restaurant are plate collectors who don’t speak English . The food is mediocre , fried eggs on big trays laying around lukewarm , no fresh eggs cooked or omelette station . Lunch chicken , turkey and fish , but not good quality , dinner same again ! Basic salad , the same everyday .ive had better food at a 3star ! One man show for animation 🤦🏼♀️ . There was a couple of good groups singing . But not often enough . Swimming pools are great . Apparently there have been so many cutbacks , because they had to put in new fire escape stairs this year , that’s not fair to us , the guests ! Personally I felt that they didn’t care if you enjoyed your holiday , not once were we asked if everything was ok . I’m sorry but I also think some repeat guests are delusional about this hotel , as they don’t go anywhere else !
Our second visit to Montana Pine. The location and views really are outstanding for a hotel at this price point in our opinion. We were more than happy with the food on offer. Fresh and tasty. A better selection of fish than last year (salmon, sea bass, trout, whiting). Nice vegetable dishes (e.g. spinach gratin, roasted peppers/courgettes, Turkish cabbage stew), rice pilaf, noodles, chips, salads, fresh bread etc for lunch and dinner - we were very happy with it. Boris, one of the chefs, is lovely, really friendly. The gozleme (pancake) lady works very hard and we enjoyed her pancakes many afternoons of our holiday. The bar staff are very efficient - shout outs to Erva, Pelin, Berek and Mert (best cocktail maker!). Rooms are rustic and charming - a cracked tile in the bathroom etc are not deal breakers for us. The cleaning of rooms/clean bath towels/bed changing etc. was a bit inconsistent, but swiftly sorted out the next day once I had informed reception. The pools are all gorgeous with fab views over the valley. Getting a sun lounger was easy. The bands that performed on 2 evenings were both fantastic. The 'entertainment team' could try a bit harder to engage with guests in our opinion. We are glad we returned for our holiday this year as we had a lovely time. I think for what you pay, it delivers. I looked at hotels in Greece with similar surroundings (nice views, surrounded by forest etc,but walking distance to shops and bars), and the cost was considerably more. Thank you Montana Pine Resort - we will be back.
Just back from a week at Montana Pine and feel very mixed about the experience.
Positives: Amazing setting for a tranquil holiday with no loud music or hassel. Our room was lovely with comfortable bed and pillows and excellent room cleaning and towels etc. The pools are really nice chilly but nice and quiet too. The ice creams in the afternoon are lovely and so are the pancakes. The views are outstanding
Not so positves: The food is good quality but limited in variation and quantity. Most mornings I had porridge and lunch was often soup as I did struggle to find anything not helped by not eating red meat. It was often difficult to construct a meal from what was avaliable and even the salad was limited. Having been to Turkey many times I know puddings are usually outstanding again this was not the case and cut to small portions too. Food was often not replenished enough especially puddings.
We eat out 3 nights out our stay as we had not not out of choice.
Staff seem very unhappy and did not engage with people at all not even with each other. The sunset bar is closed so making this area so much less used. We asked about the A la Cart and was told not opening We asked about the boat trip and told boat been sold! So lots of what we purchased in our holiday was not avaliable.
The drinks!! Cocktails were awful just syrup and if you want a drink with your evening meal go to the bar and get your own! No service.
We verbalised our feelings with the rep who spoke to management and we were offered a late check out on our final day. We went to shower and change and our key had been blocked the cleaner let us in and then we had a call to say we had to get out of the room by 2pm not 4pm as agreed. This was after 1.30pm
Many people staying have been many times before and all said the food was not the usual standard and staff have always been friendly but this year seems very different.
I hope they rectify the food and drinks situation as we loved the hotel.
This was our fourth visit and I do not normally write reviews. We fell in love with this place years ago, but something has changed this year and it’s the small things. The staff are miserable no engagement what so ever. The sunset bar not open and was always a highlight as stunning and peaceful. The food was good but the variety not great. The singer they have is amazing but the rest especially some loud music at 1130 at night not great. Small cost cutting but it gets noticed.
