Lovely 7 night stay

Had a wonderful stay , our first time we were a bit concerned about negative reviews we had read , but the hotel was lovely, just the right size even though it was fully booked never felt busy , always able to get sunbeds , plenty of food which was delicious and a good choice. Had a very relaxing 7 nights would definitely go back again 👍 enjoyed the short walk to hissi and the free beach shuttle bus , only negative was we arrived at 10.30 pm and we weren’t offered food buts that’s the only thing I can fault would of been nice to have an option of light snacks in the evening after 9 pm

Montana Time is brilliant!

Our 3rd fabulous stay at MP. The setting is peaceful, with stunning grounds full of bright flowers and greenery, beautiful butterflies and the iconic sound of cicadas ( having never actually seen one before, I was thrilled to see one on the balcony!) Lots of cats and kittens around, which seemed to delight everyone.
The Marmara pool is my favourite. It’s large, deep and surprisingly peaceful. Plenty of sunbeds available at all times, so no rush to get one.
As vegetarians, the food choices available were imaginative and plentiful and we certainly didn’t go hungry! We stayed in a basic room, the first block nearest reception, as my friend has mobility issues. Yes, the rooms are a little dated; but ours was clean and comfortable, with bottled water provided every day.
There did seem to be fewer staff than in previous years; but they all worked incredibly hard and remained cheerful, despite their long days. The free shuttle bus is an added bonus, driven by the most delightful, accommodating driver and, the on-site shop is well-stocked. I can’t comment on the entertainment, as the exertion of lying in the sun and swimming, wore us out each day; but it sounded enjoyable!
WiFi was a bit iffy at times; but, hey, you’re on holiday, so distract yourselves for a while! Overall, we had a perfect holiday and, along with many other repeat visitors, we will be returning!

Wonderful staff, beautiful surroundings and lasting memories!

This was our fourth visit to Montana Pine Resort, and it continues to hold a very special place in our hearts as it's also where we got married.

We had a wonderful holiday and stayed in a Superior Valley Room. The room was beautifully decorated, well equipped, and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable, although we found the pillows a little too firm for our liking. Our maid kept the room spotlessly clean throughout our holiday, and the standard of housekeeping was excellent.

We never had any trouble finding a sunbed around the pool, even on busier days. The restaurant offered a wide variety of food, although breakfast was probably the most limited meal of the day, with several different egg options available. On previous visits there was an omelette station where fresh omelettes were cooked to order, and we were disappointed to see that this is no longer available.

The restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to clear tables. Our son became particularly popular with the waiting staff, and we'd like to give a special mention to Damla and Erva, who made him smile every single day.

One area that could be improved is the availability of highchairs. As the hotel became busier, they were often all in use, meaning we sometimes had to wait for one to become available, which isn't ideal when you have a hungry baby. In addition, only two of the three highchairs had safety straps, which could be improved.

We also noticed that the opening times of the bars have changed since our last visit. This often left the lobby bar extremely busy, as it was the only bar serving the full range of cocktails and hot drinks. Despite being constantly busy, Emre was a real credit to the bar team. He was always polite, friendly, and worked incredibly hard, even when he was clearly rushed off his feet.

As this is where we got married, we couldn't visit without spending some time at the Sunset Terrace. Our wedding there was absolutely perfect, and we remain incredibly grateful to all the staff who helped organise our special day and made it so memorable.

It was a little sad to see that the Sunset Terrace no longer has a bar, and the comfortable cushioned benches have been replaced with plastic chairs, making the area feel less inviting than it once did. We also noticed that very few guests seemed to visit the terrace, likely because there is no longer anywhere to get a drink. It's such a beautiful location, and it would be lovely to see it become more of a focal point again.

Finally, the entertainment team worked incredibly hard throughout our stay, and the quality of the evening shows was just as impressive as we remembered from previous visits.

Overall, we had another fantastic holiday at Montana Pine Resort. While there are a few areas that we feel could be improved, the friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and relaxed atmosphere mean it's still a place we love returning to. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Stunning Views, Disappointing Overall Experience

This was our second visit to Montana Pine Resort, although our first stay was over 10 years ago when the resort operated on a half-board basis. We returned with high expectations based on our previous experience, but unfortunately we left feeling that the resort has declined in several key areas. On our first visit, the quality of the food and the overall guest experience were significantly better than what we experienced this time.

The setting of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by mountains and stunning scenery, the views are incredible and one of the biggest highlights of the stay. The grounds are very well maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere, and throughout our holiday we found the staff to be polite, friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, there were several areas that let the experience down.

Although there are signs around the pool stating that sunbeds should not be reserved, this rule doesn’t appear to be enforced. Many guests were placing towels on sunbeds first thing in the morning before leaving the hotel for hours, meaning there were often very few beds available for people actually wanting to use the pool. This became frustrating and is something the hotel should manage much more effectively.

More generally, I didn’t feel the site was actively monitored by staff to ensure the rules were being followed. On several occasions, there were guests behaving rudely, including people regularly pushing in queues without any intervention. Around the pool areas, there also appeared to be very little staff presence. We frequently saw children left unsupervised by their parents, with some throwing objects into the swimming pools and causing disruption for other guests. While supervising children is ultimately the responsibility of parents, a visible staff presence would help discourage this kind of behaviour and ensure the pool areas remain enjoyable for everyone.

During our stay, there was also a wildfire close to the resort. While we appreciate that the hotel cannot control events like this, it was disappointing that there was very little communication or reassurance provided to guests. There was no clear information about the situation, what procedures would be followed if conditions changed, or any safety advice to help put guests’ minds at ease. Even a simple briefing or update would have been appreciated and would have demonstrated a greater focus on guest welfare.

The entertainment was another area that failed to meet expectations. The two evenings featuring the acrobatic performances were genuinely spectacular and were the highlight of the entertainment programme. However, on most other nights it was fairly uninspiring, often consisting of a single singer, with some performers repeating later in the same week. There was also very little evening entertainment aimed at children, which was disappointing for what is marketed as a family-friendly resort.

The food was probably the biggest disappointment. It was very repetitive with little variety from day to day, and after a few meals it became quite boring. For an all-inclusive resort, I expected a much better selection and higher quality. Having experienced the resort over 10 years ago, I genuinely feel the standard of the food has declined considerably. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if good food is an important part of your holiday.

We also paid extra for an upgrade to a superior room, but this was another disappointment. Our room looked nothing like the photographs used to advertise the superior rooms. A few days into our stay, we happened to see another superior room that had been left open, and it was immediately obvious that it was finished to a much higher standard than ours. When I raised this with reception, I was assured that our room was a superior room, but it simply didn’t match either the advertised photos or the standard of the other room we had seen.

The bathroom in particular was showing its age, with mould around the bath and tiles, along with several poorly finished repairs that looked like temporary patch jobs rather than proper maintenance. It gave the room a tired appearance and certainly wasn’t what we expected after paying extra for an upgrade.

One area with so much potential is the Sunset Bar. It offers one of the best viewpoints in the resort, and it’s a lovely place to sit and watch the sunset. However, the bar itself was never open during our stay, which was a real disappointment. It seems like a missed opportunity, as many guests would undoubtedly enjoy being able to purchase a drink while taking in the views.

Another disappointment was the availability of ice cream. It was only available between 2pm and 4pm, which seemed unnecessarily restrictive, especially during the height of summer when temperatures are at their highest. Extending availability from around midday until 5pm would provide a much better experience for guests and would seem far more appropriate for a family-focused, all-inclusive resort.

Overall, Montana Pine Resort has a fantastic location, beautiful views, lovely grounds and friendly staff. However, the lack of enforcement around sunbed reservations, poor monitoring of guest behaviour, the lack of communication during a nearby wildfire, underwhelming entertainment, disappointing food, limited all-inclusive facilities and the poor quality of our so-called superior room meant the holiday didn’t live up to our expectations.

It’s a shame because we know how good this resort used to be. We genuinely wanted to return and relive the experience we had over a decade ago, but instead we left feeling that standards have slipped. With improvements in these areas, Montana Pine Resort could once again be an outstanding destination, but based on our recent stay, it doesn’t currently offer the quality or value we were expecting.

A relaxing family stay

We have just returned back from Montana Pine for the second time. We last visited 11 years ago and we have had such a lovely holiday. The setting and hotel is beautiful and personally think its one of the nicest in the area. All the grounds were immaculate. We have no complaints at all and hope to be back at Montana Pine very soon.
