- Turay Hotel

This lovely hotel is situated in Dalyan. This property offers a total of 31 guests rooms. This establishment was fully refurbished in 2020. Our newly opened Turay Hotel is located on the river which joins Koycegiz Lake, famous for its health giving thermal waters, and the magnificent Iztuzu beach. You can easily get to Iztuzu beach and the mud bath by a motor boat, which you can take from our hotel's private jetty. Have a trip around Koycegiz lake or join one of the moonlight tours with dinner on board. You can also dine and enjoy a drink in our riverside restaurant.
There is a large choice of traditional Turkish food and freshly baked village bread. Turkish pizza and a wide selection of Mediterranean cuisine are available. You can also enjoy our full a la carte menu.
31 ensuite rooms are located in our beautifully landscaped gardens, offering wonderfull views ottoman style architecture of the hotel. Our large, central swimming pool is perfect for sunbathing and includes a children's pool.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
First of all, the hotel itself is very nice, with beautiful surrounding scenery, and we had a lovely first few days (especially sitting with the turtles each breakfast). However, it's worth noting that the breakfast options were somewhat limited and shampoo was the only toiletry provided in the room.
Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat overshadowed by an unsettling incident involving a member of staff on our last night. He definitely saw two young women in their early 20s alone and thought we would be easy targets.
He asked for my friend's phone number under the guise of arranging a potential tour for us, but instead began texting her constantly and appeared to be monitoring our movements in and around the hotel. At first, we didn't block him because we knew we'd have to see him at breakfast the following morning and didn't want to make the situation awkward.
As the evening went on, he pressured us to go out drinking with him. We declined several times, but he then said he would come to our room. We didn't think he knew which room we were staying in, b it this alone scared us. Hoping to appease him and prevent him from coming to look for us, we went to the main bar area with the intention of making an excuse to leave relatively quickly. When we got there, we could see him flashing a light from a dark area of the hotel, trying to get us to meet him alone there. Instead, we stayed with another English couple until they headed back inside, at which point we quickly returned to our room and locked the door.
We thought that would be the end of it, but the persistent messages continued despite us ignoring every one. Eventually, he started knocking on our door, even though we had never told him which room we were staying in. At this point we were incredibly scared but weren’t sure what to do. After we ignored the knocking, it stopped briefly, but around 10 minutes later he began knocking on our window as well.
We were incredibly relieved that this happened on our final night, because we would not have felt safe staying there any longer after this experience. We were lucky we had made friends with other guests running up to this incident who looked out for us the next morning and repeatedly checked that we were okay.
It's a real shame because the hotel itself is lovely, but no guest should ever be made to feel unsafe by a member of staff. I hope the management takes this seriously so that no one else has to experience something similar.
Beautiful location best experienced in the riverside restaurant where you share your breakfast with giant turtles and many more creatures. Excellent spot for catching a boat for the beach or up stream to the magnificent lake. Stunning scenery wherever you go! Special thanks to Ozy and the rest of the staff for their friendly and professional hospitality. Hotel is small and cosy with a lovely salt pool. No sun bed wars either!
This was our first visit to Dalyan, and the Turay Hotel. We had the most fantastic week! The hotel is spotlessly clean, with a great pool. We enjoyed breakfasts in the riverside restaurant, watching turtles swim by, and swallows swooping through the air. We were very happy with the delicious food. The hotel is less than half a mile from Dalyan's centre, and there is a lovely shady riverside path that takes you there. What makes the hotel special is the staff - Selcuk, Tuncay, Ozzy, Thomas, the chefs, the cleaning ladies, Mr Turay and everyone else, all take time to make you feel welcome. There is a really friendly vibe at this hotel. Next time we will take a kettle, as there was none provided. We were glad we took a washing line and pegs, as there was nowhere to hang laundry - we fixed up a line on the balcony, but the cleaners adjusted it and made it better for us! These were minor issues and we had a wonderful week! Thank you!
Absolutely amazing staff ozzy and moon were brilliant however the owner or Turay hotel is very rude. Had a go at family for not using his bar. The shower and tap had broke down a few time restricted water flow from both. Over all great experience with the bar staff lovely hotel!
We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. A very special mention goes to Ozzie, the barman, who truly made our stay exceptional. He was friendly, professional, and always greeted us with a smile. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His great personality and outstanding customer service made our evenings even more enjoyable. Ozzie is a real credit to the hotel, and we hope he's recognised for the fantastic job he does.
