Very pleasant.
We enjoyed our stay here. Great location. Shops, bars and restaurants right next to the hotel, and only a 10-minute walk to the centre. Rooms are very small, which is okay if you only use your room as a base. The balcony overlooks the garden and you can view the mountains. Nearby bars play music until after midnight but we weren't disturbed at all as the soundproofing was so good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was that our room wasn't cleaned regularly - we had to ask for it to be done, and did most of it ourselves. The pool area could do with a bit of attention too. Otherwise, a pleasant place to stay.

Not for single females
No complaints about the hotel. Rooms were clean. Central location.
However. I cannot recommend this hotel for the single female traveller.
I had to move to a different hotel because of the constant hassle from a staff member 😥.

Just spent 5 nights staying at the Smyrna Hotel. The hotel is in a great location and is attended 24/7 so there is always someone around. The buffet breakfast is excellent and you can help yourself to whatever you like. The rooms are lovely and clean, great balcony. Lovely large pool for cooling off. Air-con in rooms along with a mini fridge. Would definitely recommend and will stay again - thanks all :)

Great budget hotel
This is a little gem of a budget hotel. Lots of great reasons to go. The location is bang on, right beside river. The rooms are good size, we were in family room, one double bed and one single. The A C was spot on and unlike lots of places, no extra to pay. Bathroom was good size and decent shower. Bathroom also had hairdryer, which was ok. Our balcony was tiny, although had small table and 2 chairs, all you need. The pool was a good size although beds were few and no cushions on beds. We felt they could have made a lot more of the pool. The best part of our stay was the free breakfast, typically turkish, but lots of choice and amazing quality. The breakfast team really did the hotel proud.
We did have a couple of niggles. The fridge in room was frankly useless, hardly kept anything cold. We like a cuppa before we see the world, but no kettle. In our research for this hotel we had seen that clean towels and cleaning of room was not done. You have to ask, they are more than happy to do it, this seemed strange to have to ask but it's how they do it. The hotel is attached to a pub which plays music until about midnight, which wasn't a problem for us, but might be for otheres. The staff at hotel was warm and friendly although English is limited, (my turkish is non existent) there seemed to be some one about at all times so felt safe. We thought for the money it was a great choice and would definitely go back.

A Hidden Gem – Highly Recommended!
I had a lovely time at this hotel — the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the atmosphere around the hotel was peaceful and inviting. I especially enjoyed the pool area and the tasty breakfast options each morning. Great value for money — I’d definitely stay again!
