This hotel is located by the Dalyan River, in quiet, peaceful surroundings, set in a large gardens. The nearest restaurants and bars are within 200 m and it is just a 5-minute walk to the centre and its amenities. The nearest nightspots and Dalyan bus station are 800 m away. It is 1 km to the Tomb Graves and Dalyan Mud Baths, and 1.5 km to the ancient city of Kaunos. Iztuzu Beach and the Mediterranean are 4 km away and Candir Forest is 3 km from the hotel. Built in 2004 and renovated in 2009, this hotel is Dutch-owned, and this is reflected in the European/Turkish design. Set in beautiful gardens, it has a relaxing atmosphere and is suitable or families. It comprises a total of 37 rooms including 8 junior suites, spread over a main building and an annexe, each with 2 floors. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom and a TV lounge as well as a large screen TV on the terrace. The younger guests can enjoy the children's playground and refreshment is to be had at the café, bar and large indoor and outdoor restaurant. Guests have WLAN Internet access at their disposal and they can also take advantage of the room and laundry services (for an additional fee). Parking is available for those arriving by car.

Peaceful, friendly and comfortable.
Husband and I have now visited Dalyan 4 times, staying in 4 different hotels and we are sure the Portakal is by far the best. Set in a lovely location on the riverside it is peaceful and charming with friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms and close enough to Dalyan town centre to be a gentle walk of about 20-30 minutes. We were B&B and the breakfasts had a reasonable amount of choice. We had a snack lunch one day which was very nice. There are a large number of cats living in the hotel, the kittens are beautiful a sort of clouded tortoisehell and extremely friendly. We spent quite a lot of our time just petting these beauties. We had a ground floor room with a small covered terrace area. I had requested twin beds but none were available. However, the king size double was comfortable. The bathroom was quite large with a walk-in shower. There were two pairs of new towelling slippers in the wardrobe and a kettle and cups on the cabinet. Sleep quality was good. Unfortunately, and this was not a problem with the hotel, I tripped on broken paving slabs on the walk back from town on our 2nd evening. In the dark I did not see the hazard. I fell hard on my face, hands and knees. Fortunately some people walking behind us saw what happened and came to my aid, helping my husband to lift me up. A young couple in a car also stopped and very kindly drove us back to the hotel, where the staff rushed to help, washing the dirt and blood off and applying antiseptic cream. They were so very kind. In this part of Dalyan the roads are used by taxis, vans, motorcyclists and kids on scooters all of whom drive like its Formula 1, and the roads and pavements are very badly lit, it is very easy to miss your footing. We can thoroughly recommend it , despite being walking wounded! Finally, must thank Ayub and Ibrahim on Reception for their helpfulness at all times.

Great hotel
Our first time at the hotel portakal what a great experience it’s a family run hotel owned by Methap and Guneyt (apologies if I have got spelling incorrect) everybody at the hotel owners ,cleaning staff , restaurant workers, reception, and bar staff are so helpful.The hotel is beautiful clean and well kept. The rooms are large with big bathrooms , the lower floor have small terace with table and chairs leading onto a walkway to reception or pool and bar. The breakfast offering was good and restaurant was open for lunches from 12- 4. The hotel looks straight out onto the river with views to die for Special mention to the 3 bar staff Asat Mahmoud and especially Ramz who got great delight in telling me my end of night cocktail of raki fresh orange juice and lemonade was not right We highly recommend for a hotel in dalyan My wife and I will be back

Highly recommend
Everything was just perfect . I am a disabled woman so was concerned about my cases as we were on the 1st floor . The amazing young man on reception at night carried our cases up and down for my daughter and myself. The other staff were very helpful and friendly sorting taxis and information. Cleaners were efficient and friendly. I was worried that the hotel was a bit out of the way as I have trouble walking. But there are a few benches on road leading up to start of town so I could rest if I wanted to walk but getting taxis is very easy and there are many taxi ranks in town . Nice large rooms with comfy beds . Very quiet at night . Great value for the price paid . Lots of sunbeds no sunbed wars .pool has stairs to enter as well as ladder . The area around pool could get slippy but I just wore my sliders to edge of pool then held rail when getting in . Would visit again as a solo traveller as I felt very safe
Lovely holiday, great hotel
We have stayed at many hotels in Dalyan and this is probably the best, we honestly can't think of a single thing could find fault with. Very friendly hotel with excellent service, rooms spacious and spotless, breakfast is a treat, and such a great location. 10 minute flat walk into town (more after Efes!) No hesitation in recommending, special thanks to owners and all staff, lovely holiday.

Beautiful hotel
Second time at this hotel and third booked. Extremely friendly with a beautiful pool area. No towels on the comfortable sun beds around the pool also some comfortable chairs and tables for relaxation if preferred. View to the river. Plenty of room around the pool and a lovely bar. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Rooms and wardrobe space plentiful. We chose an upstairs room. There are no balconies but with the seating areas downstairs I don’t think you need one. The whole hotel is kept very clean. Breakfast delightful. 15 minute walk to the centre with many eateries on the way. All in all fabulous hotel.
