First trip to turkey and this hotel surpassed our expectations had a great stay here lovely hotel clean and well looked after all the staff were amazing especially rams the barman! Plenty of pool loungers to go around. Rooms were nice and big with a kettle and a fridge. Bathroom was big with a shower and plenty of hot water. Location was good as it was only a 5 min walk from all the bars/restaurant’s and shops! Being right next to the river you have daily boats coming and going up to 11pm at night but this never bothered us At all. Overall a great experience for us and we can’t wait to come here again for 2 weeks next year! Definitely recommend this little gem ❤️ love to all at the portakal hotel Louise and Martin Xx
Great location, it’s just out of the centre of town but a very short walk to get there. We were on the river so all boat trips we booked picked us up outside the hotel. It’s a small family run hotel, so a lovely calm and friendly atmosphere, staff are super friendly and take the time to say a hello by name. When we left the owner and staff personally came out to say goodbye, so this was lovely. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, air con is much appreciated too. We loved the pool, it’s a perfect size and there are plenty of sunbeds and outside seating. We loved our stay and have been twice now. Breakfast is lovely and relaxed with a good selection of home cooked food. A great hotel with lovely personal touches.
Had a wonderful stay in Portakal Hotel Dalyan. I read all the reviews prior to booking and it did not disappoint. I can see why multiple guests come back year after year. I have never picked a hotel not close to a beach before and chose this hotel due to Iztuzu Beach being close by, which was a beautiful beach and I felt privileged to see the beautiful turtles there. The hotel itself is set against a beautiful landscape a short 10 mins walk to shops and restaurants in a quiet area. A further 5 mins further on is more lively bars so suitable for young and families. The hotel was decorated tastefully with turkish style lamps and accessories with beautiful flowers. The staff are more than helpful. Despite no travel rep visiting the hotel, which was a first the staff did their best to help especially Eyup on reception who was very helpful and could not do enough. Always with a friendly smile. My one and only disappointment was the depth of the pool. Being only 4pt 9 and not a confident swimmer I found it too deep but by the end of the week I got over my fears and swam with assistance of a float. Despite this it would not stop me coming back. Nor would the mosquitos stop me. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Missing you already
The Portakal is quite simply an amazing hotel. This was our 3rd visit and we've already booked for next year. The location close to the river is picturesque and peaceful yet just a short, pleasant walk to town. The rooms are spotless as is the pool, garden and bar area. What makes it even more special for us are all the staff. From the owners and brilliant bar staff, to the lady looking after our room, who even tried teaching me some Turkish, all were warm, friendly and welcoming. Big thank you to Ayup on reception who once again was so helpful and greeted us with a big smile every time we saw him. Looking forward to next year already. Thank you everyone.
This was our first time to Portakal,in fact our first time to Turkey. We were delighted with our experience , couldn't fault a thing about this hotel.
Immaculately kept, from the gardens, pools, dinning room, bedrooms. Everything well maintained and spotlessly clean.
All staff were attentive, personable and helpful, we were taken to our room, staff called us by our names and always polite and smiling.
It's very obvious the owners care for their hotel, and they were present every day, super friendly and keen for guests to enjoy their stay 😀
