The positive note, the staff were lovely and tried their best with what they had. The views were amazing. The local people were lovely. The cleaners were very hard working. Now we are not complainers and do make the most of what we get, but we really struggled with this hotel. So now the brutal truth. This hotel is misadvertised. It has photos of the sister hotel. Our room was not available when we arrived as we were delayed (3.10am). Most of the rooms are tiny. The food is awful, breakfast was very well done onion rings, wedges, cold scrambled eggs (sometimes)that had peppers and stuff mixed in and egg shell. Boiled eggs, sausage in tom sauce sometimes and different breads. No toaster, no pancakes. Omlettes or fried eggs . Continental choices which were kept ( cold) with a fan blowing over it. Its all cold if it's supposed to be hot and warm if it's supposed to be cold and only the same two choices all 14 days, (some type of chicken and meatloaf cut into various shapes). Food came from sister hotel and was put on display 40 mins before service in baymaries, sometimes with lids, sometimes not. The temperature on them was not high enough or not even on. Aircon didn't work, broken fridges, broken flush on toilet. the pool turned bright green by 7th day as not filtered. Staff tried to fix but were still at it when we left. Pool was closed for 4 days and we were told we could use the souths for 1 of those days, the others we went to the beach which was private but very small ( 6 foot by 20) . One toilet for men and one for women next to the pool. These were not really cleaned properly and the toilet paper was always stuck. These were the only toilet facilities in the common areas. So nothing for when you're dresses and ready to go out or waiting to go home. Lack of bins. Many people including myself, partner and friends all have had tummy upsets. Many other guests we talked to have said the same. The staff did not understand English very well, especially the reception staff. Though one could sing very nicely. As I said the staff were very good and we did complain to the rep but he basically said it wasn't his issue and couldn't really help. We did get a bigger room on the second day which was better than the box they put us in but all the beds and pillows are very hard and uncomfortable. Would consider the area again but definitely not this hotel. Not many sunbeds and a lot broken.
All looks lovely online, reality is when you get there, you're shafted between the south & north hotel, management have no idea how to run a hotel, food is disgusting, serving some sort of okra at breakfast!!! ( We ate some at the town in a lovely place called UNCLES with it's own beach staff were falling over us, couldn't do enough for us) The pool side isn't cleaned regularly, towels stay on the beds all week, so hard to get a sunbed, pepsi was substituted using fizzy Pomegranate crap, tasted awful... The spa bath in the room you go to put the jets on & it stinks of rotten eggs, & disgusting water comes out of it, Even the locals asked where we were staying as soon as we said Dragut they said "oh I'm so sorry" how bad does it have to be when the locals are apologetic!! Turgutries Bodrum is a beautiful place the local people were lovely in the town, just avoid this hotel at all costs, how it's even described as all inclusive, I've no idea!!! & Said to be 3/4 star hotels...... The mind boggles
The hotel is a 2 star hotel not a 3 star one.
The cooked buffet food , was often cold , and not very appealing.
The room we had , was supposed to have a sea view. But you could just about make out the sea through the leaves of a giant palm tree.
The staff however, were helpful courteous and were trying to make the best of a very average hotel.
Overall the hotel was overpriced, and the description on love holidays, was misleading.
We stayed at Dragut Point North and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The hotel is nothing like the photos online – it’s dirty, run down, and poorly maintained.
Our first room was tiny, filthy, and looked onto a wall. It was so cramped, and there was no hot water. When we asked to move rooms or pay for an upgrade, we were told no, and even our request to move to the sister hotel (and pay the difference) was refused.
The restaurant was dirty, the food was unappealing, and we didn’t feel comfortable eating there. It got so bad that we paid for another hotel for two nights just to get some rest.
On the fourth day, after returning, we were finally offered a slightly bigger room with a small sea view and wristbands to use the sister hotel, Dragut Point South. Unbelievable to think these are ran by the same people
Although this is only a 3-star hotel, there is absolutely no excuse for the dirt, filth, and unhygienic conditions at Dragut Point North.
It is quite clean, and the food is tasty. The main advantage is that the sea is just a stone's throw away. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. Aiday, the assistant, is a lovely and charming young woman who can help resolve any issue.
