La Blanche Island

This was meant to be a special holiday with my parents for both their birthdays including a 60th, yet 2 days in it has turned into a nightmare that has left us feeling scammed and ripped off. This hotel calls itself ‘ultra all inclusive’ on all of its marketing including on the web pages for its à la carte restaurants which is one of the reasons we picked it. On arrival we were then told you can eat in 4 à la carte restaurants once, was not what we expected but was fine. Turned out this was another lie and you can actually only eat in one à la carte restaurant once. When we explained this to the hotel, they gave us one extra night in an à la carte restaurant and told us to complain to our holiday provider despite it being all over their own marketing. The staff are begrudging to help at all with basically no customer service skills, again not what you’d expect from an expensive supposedly 5 * hotel. We had some other issues, and eventually were offered some compensation but it took my mum crying at them to do so! Equally, ultra all inclusive leads you to believe all alcohol is included. It’s not and is only local alcohol included. The food in the buffet is horrendous with flies all over it and most of the food catered to children and covered in grease. The breakfast was so bad we left without eating. For lunch, all the restaurants except the buffet serve pizza, fish & chips and burgers and nothing else. We were also told at one we had to order via a QR code yet the WiFi was so poor it wouldn’t load and we were still refused help. Equally if you don’t have children I would avoid like the plague, there is no adult only area anywhere and as I said all the food is catered towards kids. The rooms are tired and in desperate need of a massive refurb as well. This hotel is a disgrace to most in Turkey, it’s absolutely not 5* max 3* and not ‘ultra all inclusive’. I would avoid it at all costs and save your money!

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The service at the lobby bar was excellent, and the à la carte restaurants were very good. Ms. Nur and Mr. Sercan from the animation team were amazing but animation management was really bad and there were really limitted activities for adults and kids. The barista, Ms. Ilgin, was outstanding—despite how busy she was, she was always smiling and provided exceptional service. Scenary of rooms were great. Sea was crystal clear.

Our stay at La Blanche Island Bodrum exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s unique location on a beautiful peninsula, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. The spacious and elegant reception area immediately gave us a luxurious first impression, and every member of the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our entire stay.

Our room was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. It was cleaned every day, and the minibar was refilled daily with soft drinks and bottled water. These little touches made our holiday even more comfortable.

The pools are fantastic, always clean and well-maintained. The water slides were a huge hit with our daughter, who couldn’t wait to go back every day. The private beach is beautiful, with crystal-clear water, and one thing we really appreciated was that we never had to “fight” for a sunbed. No matter what time we arrived, there were always plenty available. Fresh beach towels were provided every day, which was another great convenience.

The food was excellent in every way. The main restaurant offered an incredible variety of fresh and delicious dishes at every meal. The Starbucks on the resort opens at noon and is a great place to enjoy a quality coffee or refreshing drink. The Sweet Corner serves delicious ice cream, fresh fruit, and freshly made waffles throughout the day, while the dessert bar in the lobby offers a wonderful selection of cakes and pastries for anyone with a sweet tooth.

In the evenings, the Lobby Bar became our favourite place to relax before or after the shows, serving excellent cocktails in a lovely atmosphere. During the day, we spent a lot of time at the Pool Bar, where Mehmet made the best cocktails in the hotel. He is not only an incredibly talented bartender but also one of the friendliest and most attentive people we met. After just a few days, he already remembered our favourite drinks and always welcomed us with a smile. We truly enjoyed chatting with him every day, and he became one of the highlights of our holiday.

The evening entertainment was excellent every single night, with professional shows, live music, children’s performances, followed by DJ parties and dancing. There was always something enjoyable for guests of every age.

During the day, the Entertainment Team, led by Sercan, did a fantastic job organizing sports and pool activities. Aqua fitness, water games, beach volleyball, and many other activities created a fun atmosphere throughout the day. Sercan and his team were energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic without ever being pushy. They made everyone feel welcome and encouraged participation in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

Families with children will also appreciate the Kids Club, which is open throughout the day. The caring and professional staff keep the children entertained with a variety of activities, making it a great option for parents who would like to enjoy a few relaxing hours together.

One of the absolute highlights of our holiday was the Lucca Spa. We first met Andy, who visited the pool area every day with a warm smile, always asking how we were enjoying our stay and kindly introducing the spa services. He was never pushy—just genuinely friendly, caring, and approachable. Thanks to his recommendation, we decided to visit the spa, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made during our holiday.

The Lucca Spa exceeded all our expectations. The facilities are beautiful, elegant, peaceful, and impeccably clean. The therapists are highly professional, and the massages and treatments were simply outstanding. It wasn’t just a hotel spa—it was a truly luxurious wellness experience. We are especially grateful to Andy for his kindness and sincerity, because without him we probably wouldn’t have discovered what became one of the most memorable parts of our vacation. We highly recommend the Lucca Spa to everyone staying at the hotel.

Overall, this was one of the best family holidays we have ever had. The stunning location, excellent food, spotless cleanliness, outstanding facilities, and the genuinely friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. Small details—such as the daily replenished minibar, fresh beach towels every day, and never having to worry about finding a sunbed—made a huge difference.
