Two week holiday to Royal Asarlik Hotel
We enjoyed our first visit to Turkey . Staff were exceptional and friendly . Good service ! Especially our waiter Mustafa (I get a picture later he was a busy guy).
Lovely location beachfront and watersports / trips available at a variety of prices .
We made use of hiring a electric catamaran and took it out with friends for two hours .Good price organised by the hotel staff Vadat .
Variety of food , could been bit warmer but choice available to meet everyone's requirements . Booking the a la carte options was not great due to queuing for 45 minutes then finding some were not open . Maybe a better system to do this would be a recommendation.?
Room was clean and comfortable but a little tired as in decor and some maintainance required.But no complaints otherwise .
Near bus route to Bodrum and taxi s available . Other bars and restaurants in walking distance if you required a change of scenery .
Historical sites like Bodrum castle well worth visiting ( but not if you have mobility issues) and the windmills . Other places of interest available and tours to these as further afield .
Walked to nearby Bitez lovely quieter beach. .

British travellers - wouldn't recommend.
I dont normally review hotels but to be fair to other British Travellers wanted to write a review on this one. Drinks are fine but to be honest its the worst food we have been offered on an all inclusive holiday. There is no varity, cold and mainly caters for eastern european travellers. The panaramic restaurant is like a works cafeteria setup. Tables not normally laid and you have go hunting for your own cutlery. If you use the 3 alacarte options you have queue at 10am if you are lucky enough to get a booking. Also you have to pay £25 for safe rental enough though it appears they are free when booking.
Not 5 star service
End of season and a cheap 1 night deal but there are issues. Not enough staff in the dining areas and poor quality wine. Not sure this is 5 star service.

Fantastic experience
My wife and I spent 9 days at the Royal Asarlik Beach hotel in the last two weeks of September. Due to the timing of the holiday there weren't too many children about which suited us as we are both recently retired and wanted/needed a nice peaceful holiday. The weather was perfect (about 30 degrees every day). All of the staff were extremely helpful and polite from the front desk and porters, the bar staff and also the waiting staff in the panorama restaurant. We chose to stay in a relax apartment which is a quieter experience than staying in the hotel and again suited us. These apartments are a bit dated in terms of decor compared to the hotel rooms, which have been refurbed recently, but they're a bit larger in size and quieter in the evenings. The choice of food was very impressive at every sittings with up to 9 or 10 main meals for lunch or dinner and massive selections of breads, cheeses, fruit and salads to compliment the meals. The choices of deserts is a bit overwhelming there is so much. If you're after a typical British meal or top end dining experience then you're out of luck, they'll not be serving bangers and mash, full English breakfast, prawns, salmon or fillet steaks but you will get a fish choice every meal (typically Sea Bass or Sea Bream) and regular lamb, grilled chicken or local Turkish stews which are very tasty. There were even a few nights where they served sushi which was very tasty. They serve chips, mac 'n cheese or a nicely flavoured herby tomato pasta and Pide (like a Turkish pizza) every meal if you're not feeling adventurous but I'd recommend embracing your Turkish experience and giving meals a try. We made full use of the relax pool during the day and were pleasantly surprised that there was never any sunbed wars and always seemed to be loungers available around the pool, on the grass or down at the beach and the drinks and snacks from the patisserie and the green bar were fantastic. The holiday was about £100 per person per night when flights, transfers, insurance, airport parking and hotel were taken into consideration but focusing on just the hotel it ended up as about £40 per person per night and I just can't see how anyone could say it isn't unbelievable value for money and great quality at that price.
