The hotel is located on the beach in the centre of Gumbet with local transport passing in front of the property on a regular basis and a taxi stand situated nearby. The cosmopolitan resort of Bodrum, with its large yacht marina and the impressive St Peter's Castle, are both approximately 3 km away and are definitely worth a visit. There are numerous restaurants, bars, clubs and shops not far from the establishment. Two family-run hotels are combined and operating as a single complex. Their facilities include a common dining room, a charming café and a la carte restaurant. There is a good selection of sports and recreation activities and the complex also offers wireless Internet access in the lobby area. The rooms have tiled floors and are equipped with a satellite TV and individually regulated air conditioning.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
the level of service at this hotel is amazing from the front desk to the waiting staff bar staff and house keeping we had an amazing experience from check in to check out we have heard complaints about the food but there was always a wide choice available at every service breakfast lunch and dinner there's also an opurtunity to dine in one of the 2 ala carte restaraunts on the house one visit per week the italian Carpe Deiem was amazing there where always plenty of sunbeds available on the adjoining beach and occasionally poolside there are 3 pool areas to enjoy the bubble pool is a fairly relaxed area then one adjacent the dinning hall with a water slide and a 3rd by the cozy bar we will be returning in september for 2 weeks on this occassion we stayed for a week or second visit we stayed here in september last year
We typically never return to a hotel that we’ve previously visited, there’s a whole world out there. But we made an exception for Parkim Ayaz after having had a fabulous time four years ago. Slightly worried that our return would not be as good, but I needn’t have worried. If anything, it was better. Food has improved, could not fault the food at all, and the staff were brilliant at finding tables for us and bringing drinks as soon as we sat down. We were initially disappointed that Tony Watersports Gumbet was no longer there, but as luck would have it we bumped into him the day before we returned home. He now runs a bar called Cheers - well worth a visit, 5 minute walk from Hotel. Room was clean, aircon worked well. Beach is clean and the sea is beautiful and clear, you can see the fish. Bar staff are excellent, very quick service. We often had our drinks refilled before we’d finished the previous one. Usual sunbeds around the pool being reserved at daft o’clock every morning but it’s the same wherever you go. We always prefer the beach where there are plenty of sunbeds. The only negatives are that there is no kettle in the room; and you have to pay for use of the safe (they must have paid for themselves a hundred times over by now so this is just a cash cow that keeps on giving). I still think they should set aside an area for guests to leave books and suntan lotions when they leave for other guests.
The grounds are brilliant, well done to all of the garden people.. the "wild tortoises " were brilliant, we loved looking for them. Our room was absolutely great, we did request a quiet room as my daughter has special needs, the hotel granted that, as I know from staying in Gumbet before, bar Street is very noisy.. we got a sun bed every day. No, problem.. but was in the quiet area, Bubble Bar. It is a family orientated hotel and lots of different nationalists, we met loads of people.. Entertainment is typical, we liked the Brazilian dancers x Now, my husband and daughter found the food was great, they always found something they could eat.. honest, me 64... likes mega hot food and on the buffet it was at most warm !! Not for me, so was on salad or soup.. and took my own anchor butter cos I don't like Turkish butter ( fridge in the room ) loads of cats and kittens that I adore, so WTF cos I didn't eat much took dome chicken and fish from the dining room to feed them.. Turn left out of the Parkim Ayaz from the beach and you will find Windy Bay if you want to pay for a meal.. great sizzling steaks. Been there many times.. and if the England games are on upto 11am great place to watch, only 1 TV but not as noisy as bar street.. Enjoy, we did xx
The location on the beach front excellent. The hotel is also from the front entrance right in the middle of the night life. The rooms are a mix some locations are excellent, some maybe found to be noisy due to location towards the front of the hotel or near to the bar/restaurant within the hotel. Some rooms need a little extra attention to finishing touches to make it wholly 4 star. Some small patches of mould on grouting in the shower, the surround of the shower base loose, the curtains didn’t fit the width of the patio doors so strategic locationing of said curtains every evening had to take place to ensure you weren’t blinded by the sun each morning, not major issues, all of which can be overlooked. The one thing I liked was the way the hotel has been sectioned and people are placed in their ideal section without even knowing - the families with small children all in the area of the kids pool and bar/snack bar, teenagers/ single sex groups/ twenty somethings all by the Cozzy bar and more trendy music/entertainment and finally the families with older children, older couples and groups around the main pool and restaurant area/bar. It made for an excellent holiday because no one was upsetting anyone else and everyone had a great holiday. The restaurant is excellent, a good selection of hot dishes, rice and pasta, extensive selection of salads, breads and the desserts are just mind boggerling there are so many to choose from. All in all highly recommended only dropped the 5th star due to the lack of attention to detail in the bedrooms.
We have had a fantastic stay at Parkim Ayaz and would definitely return. The hotel is in a great beachfront location in Gümbet, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants just outside. Bodrum town and the marina are only a short taxi or dolmuş ride away if you fancy a day out. The food was varied, with plenty of choice at every meal, and we always found something we enjoyed. The staff worked incredibly hard and were always friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well, which was much appreciated in the July heat. I travelled with mobility problems and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was much easier to get around than I expected, and I managed far better than I thought I would. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and would happily return. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
