Brilliant hotel
We have just returned from a lovely stay at Esra. 4 adults and one child and we are all more than happy with our stay here. Didn’t know what to expect from some reviews but we have all said we really can not fault any thing about it here. Reception staff always happy to help and first hotel we have been to where they actually came to say bye and wave us off. The rooms was always lovely and clean, beds made up and fresh towels. The air con is in both rooms of the family suite and is brilliant. The pool areas always had beds available no need for silly o clock get ups, I get that we went later in the year so maybe different at other times. The food was really good, the chef is a great man always happy and making time for the guests. Plenty to choose from and everything we ate was lovely. Special shout out to the waiter mustapha who always made time to say hello and speak to us along with the restaurant manager he was such a nice man. The evening entertainment shows was good, Michael Jackson show, Brazilian dancers and the fire show was enjoyed by all. The area is easy to get to every where, ten min walk to dolphin square/beach etc or 300 lira taxi that the hotel will call for you. The fairground is only a short walk away to. We will definitely be back to stay at Esra xx

Avoid at all cost
Terrible hotel. The rooms were dirty, poorly maintained and nowhere near the standard expected. The meals were awful, with poor quality food and very little to enjoy. Overall, a really disappointing experience and definitely not somewhere I would recommend. Would not return.

We stayed at esra hotel suites from 26/9 -10/10, where do i start, Rooms are very basic bordering on tatty our first room was 621 the maid service fine no problems, until we got up after the second night with bedbugs bites all over myself and my husband, we were mortified and went straight to reception where the manager said the rooms are sprayed but sometimes these things happen! This is not good enough, so for the whole 2 weeks we have done nothing but scratch and take antihistamines and had unsightly bites all over us, the manager gave us a different room 606 which was just very tired. All the rooms in my opinion are very old and in need if major refurbishment. Food in the restaurant was not too bad breakfast was always nice, teatime meal was hit and miss but we went out a few times so not too bad. Snack bar was horrendous, the food was cold, nothing was covered over, the flies were on everything and the place was filthy, pics included, looked like it had not been cleaned for months, even the furniture was so tatty it was falling apart. The sunbeds were the most uncomfortable ive ever experienced, and the putting out of towels at stupid o'clock around the pool before the sunbeds have even been put out needs to stop, the same people reserving same spots but not coming to the beds till well after lunchtime is not fair on people who get up early and want to use the beds, drinks at the bar were fine, and most staff very pleasant cant fault any of them they work very hard, but I really dont know how this hotel is a 3 star as its in my opinion its a 2 at best. We were allowed to keep our room on till 6pm only after the jet2 rep asked for us. Btw its £100 to 6pm! Skybar across the road is defo a rip off over £10 for a cocktail with very little alcohol in was very shocked. Bakery was lovely and recommended for sandwiches for the airport 8 baps for £10 and so lovely. On the whole a very disappointing stay and I write this review with the same view as our parents who travelled with us we all feel the same. A complaint has been placed with jet2 re the bedbugs i just gone nobody else has to go through what we have with this. Lots of cats btw so be warned they do jump on you.
