This hotel is beautiful... however!
They cram more people in the place than they can cater for. There's no space around any of the pools. They can't fit everyone in the restaurant and they certainly don't have enough cutlery for everyone! The food is awful in the main restaurant and limited other choice for places to eat, especially for evening meal. I spoke with guest services about the lack of choice for kids and the fact that all the food was cold but they deny ever having any complaints. (Very mixed reviews online so not sure about that!)
All inclusive isn't actually all inclusive.
One proper bar in the building with one bartender on it, so it's a chore getting any kind of nice drink. Cocktails are available but cost 10euro!
The real problem is that despite looking very clean and swanky, the hotel is surrounded by sewage. It's in the streams and the sea. Absolutely disgusting.
To get to the beach/water slides you have to walk through a grotty underpass which you share with the hotel sewage. It's absolutely rank. And then, the sea is full of sanitary products and poo. It's a wonder no one's died from e coli to be honest. Such a shame they don't look after their environment.
Positives: teenagers loved it. Quiet pool at the front of the hotel was bearable and seemed clean. Rooms are spacious with good air-conditioning and lovely balconies. You get your step count in every day as its vast.
Great hotel , lots to do for the kids, staff friendly and welcoming , the island is great for all ages , would return
I thought the hotel was nice food not great after a family holiday only eating at this hotel my partner after returning contracted samonella he ended up in hospital for 11 days nearly at deaths door it was pretty obvious he caught it from here it nearly ended up killing him he had intensive care team on standby because his kidneys nearly failed I would be very careful if staying at this hotel
We had a pleasant stay at Eftalia Marin. The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and a good range of facilities. The staff were friendly and hardworking, always willing to help when needed.
The food offered plenty of variety, so there was usually something for everyone, although some dishes could have been hotter. The pools and entertainment kept both adults and children occupied, making it a great choice for families.
The beach area and access to the nearby island facilities were a nice bonus and added to the overall experience. While there were a few busy periods around meal times and the pools, it didn't take away from our holiday.
Overall, Eftalia Marin offers good value for money and is a solid choice for anyone looking for an enjoyable all-inclusive holiday. We'd happily consider returning in the future. If you'd like, I can also make it sound more enthusiastic (5-star), more critical, or shorter for sites like Google Reviews or TripAdvisor.
Just spent a week here, won’t be back to say the least. The food is absolutely shocking, breakfast we just lived off pancakes because they was actually the only half decent thing. Dinner we found the pool bar on the island was better than anywhere else tea time think we had one night in the main restaurant we thought not too bad tonight apart from that we spent a fortune eating out which tbh we wish we’d have just spent more and stayed in a better hotel even though this is advertised as 5 star id say it’s a 3 at the most. We aren’t fussy eaters and we did just have to eat it some days as we couldn’t possibly eat out every meal but tbh I couldn’t wait to get home and have a decent meal. A lot of things on the island is extra, ride on cars soft play even the kids club which they advertise as free you go in and they say to decorate a tshirt or whatever then slap you with a bill, food stalls, drinks all extra. The all inclusive drinks aren’t good either never tasted anything like the apple and orange juice at breakfast absolutely disgusting. Read a lot about cleaners and fresh towels etc we did get ours changed every day but we tipped every day aswell which was fine always drinks stocked up too. We did still have a good holiday it was what we made it but the food and drinks what you look forward to on holiday was a massive disappointment. I’m shocked the reviews are as good as they are as we read through them etc before we booked and thought well you always get a few bad ones but honestly if your thinking of booking here I’d re think it. Spend a bit more on a nicer hotel and I think it’s worth after what we’ve spent while we’ve been here.
