Good but far from excellent
We recently stayed at the hotel for our summer holiday and overall had a good experience. The facilities were excellent, the location was very convenient, and the sandy beach was one of the highlights of our stay. However, there were several areas that I feel need attention. The animation and entertainment programme was disappointing. There was very little communication in English, making it difficult to know what activities were taking place, when they were happening, and where they were located. Many members of the animation team, including those working in the kids' club, spoke little or no English. My 5-year-old son did not want to participate in the activities or Lollitown because he felt that nobody understood him and that most communication was in Russian. Some of the activity locations also seemed poorly thought out. The mini golf course is situated on a terrace that becomes extremely hot during the day. Even more concerning, there are gaps around the edges, meaning that if a ball is hit slightly off course it can fall through, get lost, or potentially hit someone walking below or near the kids' club area. The table tennis tables are located next to the indoor pool, where it is very warm and where balls frequently end up in the water. The restaurant experience was another area that could be improved. Long queues were common, largely due to operational issues. There was no clear one-way system, and some of the most popular food stations were positioned in places that created bottlenecks. Guests approached serving areas from all directions, which often resulted in people cutting in front of others and added to the feeling of disorganisation. We have visited many hotels in Turkey over the years, and unfortunately I did not get the impression that management is particularly focused on improving the guest experience. My parents stayed at this hotel around 10 years ago, and from our discussions it seems that many of the same issues still exist today, with very few noticeable improvements having been made. While we enjoyed the facilities, beach, and location, I believe the hotel could significantly enhance the overall guest experience by improving communication, reviewing the layout of activity areas, and making restaurant operations more efficient.
