Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Lovely family hotel, rooms cleaned everyday. Plenty of sun loungers . food was good, really liked the fruit and desserts. Burgers available most of the day. Only thing I would say that let it down for us was the entertainment was on at dinner time so couldn’t really enjoy it as we were having dinner inside the restaurant at that time.
We had lovely time during our stay here in September. We were one of two Brits here by the looks of things. But that wasn't a problem at all. The staff were kind, friendly and easy to talk to. The check-in staff were extremely helpful in terms of directions and information.
The food was a highlight for us. There was great choice each night and we never had the same meal during our week stay. The themed evenings around the food were great, the Turkish kebab being a favourite. It's what you expect with European food, but all cooked fresh and well especially the breads. But some "English" options if that's your thing, chips, pasta, pizza, burgers.
Snacks and drinks during the day were basic but all we needed. The food at the beach was a smaller selection but for us just having that there was a bonus. Savings money on things such as water.
They had free bottles of water in fridges, that you can just grab anytime. Which was super helpful for days out.
The beach was clean and the water wasn't too choppy. We chose to stay by the pools mostly as they were relaxing and clean. We didn't have to leave towels down to get beds which was a bonus. Music was playing but not too loud during the day. The water slides were a fun bonus. The evening entertainment was limited but that suited us as we just grabbed cocktails, played games and chatted outside in the evenings. And preferred this to some of the more hectic hotels.
The room we had was clean and modern. We noticed a few times when we woke up later there was limited hot water. But with any solar system tank we expected this so just waited and showered later. But if this is important make sure to shower before 9/10am.
The town itself was lovely. The Dolmus bus regularly into the town and nearby towns. You cross the road, and head to the next road over. Near the shops to the left opposite side of the road, there's a bus stop which says Side centre. Or you can flag them down. It was roughly £2 ish for a return. Very easy to grab. And the drivers are happy to help you out. This bus also drops you off at the market if you ask.
Stayed for 10 nights and was incredibly impressed by my experience. Rooms cleaned daily by the kindest lady who added little personal touches, staff always very helpful and polite, and finally, an incredibly comfortable bed!!
We were all inclusive and there is a patisserie with noodles, biscuits, cakes and sandwiches in an evening open 24/7, and the buffet meals were hearty! The service in regards to food was the same at both the hotel and the free beach bar.
Shuttle bus every 15 minutes to a private section of Kumkoy beach, although it is only a 10 minute walk should you want to do that instead.
Location was fine for us, with taxis costing around €10 to Side Old Town, and a taxi rank across the road, although there is the option of taking the 5 minute walk into Side, or alternatively, walking 20 minutes to the mall etc. Not many bars around the hotel, but not an issue for us.
Was a lovely experience, although worth noting we were the only Brits in the hotel - though not an issue at all!!!
Special shout out to the on site shop (the shop keeper was so lovely and helped me when I was struggling with a mosquito bite by lending me his lemon spray) and the on site hairdresser who was so lovely and welcoming, even letting me cuddle their kitten whilst having my eyebrows threaded! 10/10.
It was good hotel, friendly staff, good location.Good food selection. But ice cream was only available 2 hour a day for free, otherwise need to pay about 2 euros for the ice cream.Guess regular shuttle service was broken and hotel has only car who can accommodate 4 people.Staff spoke good English.
