Side Resort Hotel

We had an amazing stay! Everything was very well organized, and there were plenty of entertainment activities every day. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the drinks were great, and the massages were fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious with lots of variety. The hotel’s location is also perfect it’s very close to the city, which made it easy and convenient to explore. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back!

Home from a brilliant holiday 10/10 at Calimera Side Resort. Family room with pool view in A block was perfect location and once entertainment finishes at 11pm it was a quiet environment with minimal noise heard from inside the room. The rooms and whole resort were spotlessly clean at all times. This is a smaller resort by comparison to some AI places we have been and I preferred this as it felt safe to allow the children (8&12) to go to the room or pool slides/onsite shop etc on their own with no risk of getting lost. AI drinks menu for cocktails and mocktails best I've seen in years, bar staff work relentlessly all day and night. Evening entertainment was a good variety over our 2 week stay with different options of places to sit and have a quiet drink if they didn't wish to participate and the entertainment team were fabulous without being pushy. Daytime and evening programme was a perfect balance of enough to do for those that want to be involved in activities without the staff being pushy to get people involved with the usual holiday cheesy theme songs and dances which the kids loved. Plenty of space at the 3 different pool areas for all guests, the main pool beds do get taken fairly early but there is always some free sunbeds on the sundeck or at other pool if you prefer a later morning and the lifeguard does remove the towels if they have been vacant for 1hr so he tries to keep on top of the bedhoggers!

Food - we've been to many 4&5 star resorts and this was the best all inclusive food we've had in a family resort. They focus on a handful of signature dishes each mealtime and cook these to a high quality. The food was always tasty, hot and freshly cooked. No dishes of luke warm, tasteless food here. They have a different theme each night with plenty of meat, veg, salad, bread options. The outdoor BBQ grill meat is delicious and I could eat the kebabs everyday! No question at all that the food and food hygiene on this resort in restaurant and snack bar is high. For the picky eaters there is a children's section that has chips, smiley faces, nuggets etc daily so even for the beige British folk you'd always find food. My children much preferred the BBQ grilled meat as it was so tasty!

If you want to go out Serenade bar just up the road is amazing food and service. We went 1 evening just for drinks to watch world cup - cocktails amazing and returned for a meal which was also delicious. Recommend the steak!!

Already looking at booking our next stay at the Calimera and I've never rebooked a hotel a 2nd time before.

Our experience here has been nothing short of brilliant. We arrived late around 2am and my suitcase was broke and I couldn’t get into it. A gentleman come down to help and got in to it for me and it was no bother even at that time of night. The food has been excellent. Standard buffet in the mornings. Lunch always had a different variety of choices and there was always something different to try. Evening food was fantastic plenty of different choices and we especially enjoyed the out side grill area. The al a carte was outstanding. Plenty of pools to choose from and slides. The entertainment was great. We especially enjoyed that activities and it wasn’t pushed on you to join in. Esma was brilliant and she was really friendly. My son loved doing her activities especially darts. She always checked in on us and learnt my sons name and would greet him the light out the day. Thank you for making it even more enjoyable for him. The hotel is clean and there’s always someone at hand to clean anything up. Ice cream on tap from 10am - 9pm. Lots of other food on offer throughout the day. Shops near by and the old town which we took several trips to. I would highly recommend and we look forward to visiting again. Thank you to all the amazing attentive staff who make this place what it is.
