Saygili Beach Hotel

We booked an all inclusive holiday which was supposed to include buffet meals & also include WiFi in our room. Unfortunately that's not what we experienced.

There was no buffet, basic meals with no choice were provided, often the same meat based thing for lunch and dinner 2 days running. This was a problem for me as l have been vegan for many years. Brought the lack of buffet, lack of choice & lack of wifi to the owners attention, which helped a little but l lost weight over the holiday & ended up buying food at local supermarket & bringing it into the dining room. None of the advertised snacks were provided - when we asked we were just told no cake, The WiFi in public areas was slow & erratic, often dropping completely. We declined to pay an extra 3 euros per person per day for WiFi in our room - they refused to provide it free of charge despite what it said on our booking confirmation. The rooms were worn and dated. The first bed dipped by 10cm in the centre - the second bed was flat, but with very noisy springs. Our ensuite shower had a large portion boxed for pipe work within the cubicle, leaving an L shaped area to stand in. I am smaller than average for a British woman - dress size 12, compared to average of 16. There was a gap of 1 fingers width between my shoulders and the wall of the shower when standing in front of the shower. Anyone larger would struggle to fit. My 6ft tall partner had to duck to get in the shower & stand diagonally to use it. We both had to twist to avoid hitting the soap dispenser and hairdryer when using the sink.

The plus points are; The location is good - close to the beach & easy walking distance to the centre of old Side. The pool and outside spaces are well maintained. The staff are friendly (but have almost no English). Minus points; food & WiFi not provided as advertised. Internal decor worn & dated. Bathroom barely functional & beds in urgent need of replacement.

nice hotel, I spent 10 days there and I am very satisfied: food - traditional and delicious hygiene-satisfying staff - friendly and professional location-excellent the beach is beautiful The hotel provides all conditions for a nice and pleasant vacation. I would be happy to come again.

Arrived here tonight 21st September. The room stinks, the fridge doesn't work, the bathroom door is hanging off and the bathroom is filthy. Asked for twin room, got a double. Was told in 30 mins it would be made in to a twin but came back to room 2 hours later and no change. Went to reception and asked for another room but met with lazy staff member who said it wasn't possible but when pressed he showed me another smaller room which was no better and said it would be made it to a twin the following day but not tonight, we could not be moved due to lack of staff. However, staff just sat around smoking. Just awful!! Really bad vibe about the place......stay away!!
