We stayed here for two weeks as a party of 7. The hotel and location is lovely, situated right on the beach.
We stayed in a room on the 7th floor, the air con was none existent. The room was boiling and we struggled to sleep the first few nights. I did ask to move and guest relations sorted it straight away. The second room was also on the 7th floor and the air con was marginally better. Although after a week the air con in the new room started making a loud clicking sound, so much so we had to turn it off to sleep. I complained twice and maintenance came but it made no difference. The air con around the whole hotel is not very cold. The only place that is refreshing after being outside is the bistro.
The toilet flush plate came off multiple times aswell.
The bed covers do not cover the whole of the beds. It is too small and the sheets were worn and bobbly.
A few days the fridge was not restocked even though it was empty.
The lifts around the hotel were very temperamental. Quite often they were out of order for days on end.
The food is fine but very repetitive. I’ve never stayed in a resort where they don’t do themed nights in the restaurant . A lot of the food was just different variations of minced lamb and the grilled chicken was so dry. We did eat in the al la carte steak house and the food was amazing, but you have pay for this on top of the all inclusive and it’s not cheap. We also ate in wabi sabi which was nice, but the food lacked flavour.
On a whole the staff are friendly. We encountered a member of staff at the beach bar who was rude. One of our party had just been served and then asked for a straw. The staff member told him to go to the back of the very long queue.
There is definitely not enough staff on the bars at night, you can be stood in a queue of 10 deep with one person serving.
We went to the water park one day which the kids in our party enjoyed. There are plenty of beds and umbrellas and the drinks are all included as part of the all inclusive.
Compared to other five stars we have stayed in, in Turkey this hotel does not compare. Also considering this was on the more expensive side of what we have paid previously, I would say it is not a five star hotel. We would not return.
Pools
The pools are a great size and usually plenty of sun beds if you’re up before 8am. We were a party of 7 so had to get up a little earlier to guarantee all beds together. Disappointing that there are no lunchtime activities for the kids in the pools which tends to be standard across other hotels in Turkey that we have stayed in.
The pool beds aren’t the most comfortable, and the pool towels have seen better days, some look and feel like they have been washed thousands of times.
Rooms
Aircon is shockingly poor. Moved rooms after the first couple of days, but barely any difference in Aircon temp. You certainly don’t get that relief when you walk in the room following a hot day round the pool. Also annoyingly loud. Which we complained about and was supposedly fixed (which it wasn’t but we gave up complaining in the end). Toilet flush plate falls off daily, never fixed. Maids do a good job daily with the room cleans and towel changes.
Lifts
We stayed on floor 7 in block R1. One of the lifts was out of use for most the holiday, so waiting for lifts became a bit of a nightmare. The corridors have no Aircon, so when you exit the lift on floor 7 it’s like walking on the sun, so hot due to the number of windows and the sun being on them all day.
Food
The food is OK. There are no theme nights for food, so you never really know what you’re going to be getting. The servings tend to be warm, rather than hot and it all becomes very repetitive. Deserts look great, but are all very bland and taste the same. Service is good from most the staff.
Summary
We wouldn’t return to this hotel, as we feel we’ve received much better value for money in other hotels in Turkey.
I have been twice here and we love the hotell and that have great entertainment for the family. I highly recommend this hotel
Lovely hotel with great swimming pools and friendly staff! The room was spacious enough for 4 people and was clean. We were lucky to have a room on the ground floor with a little terrace and swimming pool view and access. Close to the beach with activities such as jetski etc. Easy to take a taxi by the hotel and go to Side for instance.
Murat pool service very good, very nice and friendly I hive him 5 stars
