- Horus Paradise Luxury Resort

The resort lies by a long, sandy beach and is approximately 2.5 km from the centre of the historical resort of Side. Local amenities, such as restaurants, bars, clubs and shops, are close by and public transport runs from the main road. This complex is set in large gardens reaching down to the beach. There are a total of 680 rooms, and a number of on-site facilities and services are offered. For wining and dining guests may choose between a main restaurant, à la carte restaurants and a couple of bars. A conference room is available to business travellers and parking facilities are provided for those arriving by car. The outdoor complex features a number of swimming facilities and a range of water sports. Indoors, guests will find a SPA centre offering treatments and massages. Wlan is chargable and avaible all Hotel area.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I do not recommend this hotel.
We arrived at the hotel at approximately 11:00 PM, only to find out that the room we had booked was not ready. Instead of receiving the room we paid for, we were placed for the first night in a basement room that was in unacceptable condition. The bed was unstable and moved whenever we sat or lay on it, there were visible signs of water damage and leaks, the toilet seat was old, yellowed, and worn out, the room was full of ants, and the ventilation cover above the toilet was loose and moving to the point where it felt like it could fall on someone's head.
We immediately reported these issues to the hotel staff, but their reaction was completely indifferent. The next day, after informing them that we were unwilling to stay in those conditions, they finally gave us the room that we should have received from the first night.
Unfortunately, the new room was not much better. It was also infested with ants, and there was a connecting door between our room and the neighboring room with virtually no sound insulation. We could hear every conversation from next door, even when people were speaking at a normal volume. We could also hear phone calls clearly, including the voices of people on the other end of the conversation. In addition, the shower cabin was missing one of its doors, making it inconvenient to use.
What disappointed us the most was the hotel's attitude. At no point did they seem concerned about the issues we reported. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to compensate for the inconvenience, and no real effort to resolve the problems properly.
Overall, this experience was far below the standards expected from a hotel that advertises itself as a luxury resort. The facilities, room conditions, and customer service were extremely disappointing.
I have attached photos as evidence of the issues described above.
I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to other travelers.
I Love this Hotel, and the Animation team is super awsome so frindly and nice we gonna miss them a lot❤️ Thank you for make our holiday super nice :)
Everything is perfect in every aspect, I recommend it to everyone.
We have visited Turkey more than 10 times, and compared to other 5-star hotels, this one is rather average.
The hotel is quite old, but it has been well maintained. We stayed in a spacious family room in one of the buildings near the pool. The room itself was great, but there was loud music playing by the pool during the day, which made it difficult for our child to nap in the afternoon.
The resort is very large and built on a hill, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues or are travelling with small children. We had a stroller with us, and it was manageable. The hotel also offers strollers to borrow at the reception, which is a nice service.
The food was one of the weaker points. The selection was quite repetitive, and the same dishes were served very often. There is no bar directly on the beach, which we missed. Another issue was that sunbeds at both the pool and the beach were constantly “reserved” with towels, even though many of them stayed empty for most of the day.
During dinner it was often difficult to find a free table, and the staff struggled to refill the food quickly enough. A dedicated children’s buffet would also be a great addition.
The kids’ club could definitely need some renovation and more toys. However, the animation team was excellent. They genuinely cared about the children, organised fun activities every day, and even tried to communicate with guests using ChatGPT when there was a language barrier. Their effort and enthusiasm really stood out.
Overall, this hotel is neither disappointing nor impressive. It is a decent choice if you find it at a good price, but based on our experience in Turkey, there are better 5-star resorts available.
Highlight of the stay had to be the photoshoot. Such friendly, personable and professional photographers. Big shout out to Khan and Lucas. Some of the best photos i've had taken and they created an amazing photo book to remember this amazing holiday.
