Located about 300 meters from Kumkoy in the Side district, the hotel is settled along the six-kilometre coast of a historic resort and is close to public transport. This excellently located beachfront hotel was one of the first built in these places and was renovated in 2001. 7 km from the ruins of the classical Greek city of Side and 12 km from the picturesque Manavgat Waterfall. Antalya Airport is 56 km away, around 60 minutes by car. The cosy lobby offers a range of services, as well as a dining room, a sitting area and a business centre. The standard rooms have a classic style, are carpeted and equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV and drinks from the minibar can be enjoyed on the private balcony or terrace. Each room has a private bathroom with a hair dryer. Guests can take a cool swim in the pool, relax on the sunbeds or in the sauna or steam room.

Úžasné / Amazing
Velmi pěkný, čistý a poklidný hotel. Skvělí personál. Jídla vždy dost, bez front a strkanic. Na nic se nikdy nečekalo. Žádná hlasitá hudba. Byli jsme zde již loni a letos jsme se rozhodli si to zopakovat. Moc jsme se sem těšily. A opět velká spokojenost. Moc pěkná a prostorná písečná pláž. Pozvolný vstup do moře. Nikde žádní roztahovační ruští turisté. Prostě dovolená bez chyby.
Very nice, clean and quiet hotel. Great staff. Always plenty of food, no queues or jostling. There was never a wait for anything. No loud music. We stayed here last year and decided to do it again this year. We really enjoyed coming here. And again, great pleasure. Very nice and spacious sandy beach. Gentle entrance to the sea. No sprawling Russian tourists anywhere. Just a perfect holiday.
A good vacation
we were staying at this hotel for 7 nights with our 7 years son. the name "garden" is real. we were in green environment. the hotel is clean (rooms, public places, garden, pools, beach). The food was good for us - but tastes are different. That is true that some foods were frequently offered. Alltogether, we were satisfied whit the food. We had dedicated table for a week - as every guest had. Some waiters didn't clean the used plates from the tables - most of them done - and we drank our coffe at full packed tables at the end. we always found fre sunbeds and there were big gap between the allocated places (personal area). the staff speak mainly German and weak English. The most of the guests from Germany. There were local programs in the hotel but this is not a "party center".
Nice hotel and very friendly staff
We stayed in Defne Garden as a family with 2 kids (2,5) and were looking for beach and swim holidays, which was perfect. The Beach was clean, there were always enough beds ( even if most of the guests reserved in the early morning hours and came after 11a.m.), nice staff. The hotel staff was also mostly friendly and the kids felt comfortable in the mini Club. Good food, clean rooms. The hotel is not the newest and they would have to change some things in the rooms and the bathrooms, which is already planned. The guests were mostly German speaking elder persons, a few children, so no great entertainment to be expected, since you like German folk music:-( So the entertainment wasn't really as expected, but we didn't mind.

terrible holiday
Worst holiday we have ever been on. We are lucky to have 2, sometimes 3 holidays a year and go with Thomson Platinum. This is not a 5* hotel. The food was disgusting. The hotel could not cope with the amount of guests when the weather was cold or rainy. The restaurant and after dinner drinks were a joke with nowhere to sit. Don't leave money in your room the cleaners assume this is a tip and take it

Strong winner. Ecxellent value for money.
We stayed at Defne Garden in July 2011 as a Belgian family with 2 kids (7 and 2) and were overall very happy about our vacations spent. I should say that the hotel truly deserves all the good reviews it gets (no wonder entire Defne group has been sold out for 2011 season already in May). Although we had very positive time in Defne Garden, I should admit that young couples without kids might be probably bored.
Best points summarized:
The location and the beach is top - sandy, with gentle downhill into the sea - great for the kids. The hotel is not big - medium -small size, while operating at it's full capacity does not generate ANY queues (restaurant, sun-beds, pool, etc.). You never ever wait for anything. At the restaurant you would get a table assigned, reserved only for you for the rest of your stay. Regardless it's medium-small size the food variety is kept pretty good and fair - best I've seen in Turkey. There is truly big fantastic garden, generating a lot of oxygen, shadow and place for sun-beds in the green. The rooms are very spacious. Family room consisted of 2 separate rooms (~23m2 and ~10m2 ) with the real door between them, 2 separate airco’s, 2 TV's - this was very convenient for kids. No problem with temperature in the room. Animation team is very good, very personal and kids friendly - a real family.
Miner points:
Although the hotel is a good 4*, it's not new and hype. There are 3 swimming pools: 1 for babies - 50 sm; 1 under the slides - 120 sm and 1 big one - 140 sm at least undeep point. Children between 2 and 7 will not be able to stand anywhere besides baby pool (where they are completely board).
Other Observations: All the guests were German-speaking, lots are senior people.
The atmosphere in the hotel is good, quite and respectful. The stuff speaks fluent German so we went along and did the same.
We are thinking to go back.
