We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights at the end of July. The first week was wonderful, the second part of the holiday had a few disappointing moments.
Firstly, the room we had - 1018 - was exactly what we wanted, a poolside room close to the water slides and on the ‘noisy’ side of the hotel. One of the reasons we booked here was the standard rooms have a separate bedroom which meant not having to share a room with our 8 year old daughter (great for her and us!!) bed was comfy, aircon effective, shower nice and powerful and the location of the room perfect. We were able to roll out of bed when we woke up and in the first week we got sun beds very close to the room and we could nip in and out when needed. Sadly during week 2 the sun bed situation was more tricky - to be expected I guess when more people and large groups arrived. I got up one morning at 7am and there were not many beds left! The room was very clean when we arrived but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the quality of cleaning when we were there, I noticed a small plastic tube on the bathroom floor just behind the door on day 2, it was still there 11 days later.
The food during the first week was delicious, the best we have had in an all inclusive. We had 2 great meals at both al a carts which were easy to book into via WhatsApp at 9am on the day you want it. Unfortunately the second week (where the hotel was much busier) the quality of the food was not as good. In the buffet the hot food was not as hot, there seemed to be less care and attention paid which is a shame. We had 2 further meals at the al a carts and sadly they just were not as good as the first week.
Staff, were great, I had an unexpected job interview during the holiday and the guest relations team went out of their way to try and help me find somewhere suitable to have a 2 hour online interview. I got the job! There were tip boxes around the hotel and in the restaurants, we were told on the last day by a member of staff in the buffet restaurant that the money that goes in those boxes only go to management - if true this is very disappointing. We had been putting tips in the boxes assuming it would be shared by the team working in that area.
Kids club was great, my daughter loved Jasmine who does a brilliant job.
Entertainment was good, being very critical, there seemed to be a lot of dance shows and it wouldn’t hurt to mix it up a little bit more. The live music by “the Drifters” one night was absolutely brilliant. Loved the foam party!
Would we come back? Yes but not during the main school holidays.
Very nice hotel, I visited this hotel first with my wife in June and in July with my 13 year old son. Food is good quality comparable with other Barut Hotels, the 2 a la carte restaurants are excellent in a layed back athmosphere. In July the pooltemperature is refreshing with outside temperatures of 40 degrees. Rooms are large clean and during both my stays no noices in the hallway. Gym is descent, the very large yoga room is a great addition.
First time to this hotel and it’s one of the only hotels we’d consider going back to. So many added extras that are included, that you’d either pay for or simply not get at other All Inclusives. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks were really nice; Strawberry Daquiri, Pornstar Martini and Ice Palace were my personal favourite. The coffee shop felt high end, cakes were delicious too! Great selection of food at the buffet, even halloumi at breakfast!! The À la Cartes were a bit tricky to get into (had to message bang on 9 to be in with any kind of chance), but the food was amazing there too - highly recommend the goats cheese salad and the Pad Thai. The sandwiches at the Jos bar by the “noisy” pool were delicious, once we found those we didn’t bother with the buffet again. Olea was also great for lunch - highly recommend the Chicken skewer! We stayed on the quiet side but the short walk to the noisy side wasn’t very far at all and we were able to change towels on the way. Sun beds were available at the quiet pool most of the time, however it did get quite busy earlier and earlier by the noisy pool. Friday’s especially were very busy as there’s a foam party at 3pm which was great fun for the kids and adults too! The token concept for the games room was great and the free access to table tennis too! My son spent so much time down there playing with friends and Mr Bean aswell! All the kids loved him, he was so kind and lovely! Esma in the hairdressers was also one of our favourites. She did my daughter’s braids and was so good with her (she’s very head sore). She even touched it up a few days later to keep it looking nice. All in all a great holiday. If we do come back (we will definitely consider it), we’d probably book a ground floor garden room as we don’t tend to use a balcony and the little sofas would have been a great place to sit and have a drink, playing cards in the evening.
Had a lovely holiday here in July good food and spotlessly clean, friendly staff . Only criticism would be the à la cartes , we were a family of 9 plus a baby , if we booked a table for 9 with high chair we could only have a reduced menus WHY ??? On one occasion we booked 2tables having been advised that they would be placed next to each other and we could then have the full menu, we weren’t and the man in charge refused to put us at adjoining tables even though it was a simple enough move .guest services became involved and we were accommodated.this was the only criticism but we found it very hard to understand why we couldn’t sit together and why we couldn’t have the full menu . Would certainly return as everything else was extremely good
We have not long returned from our second stay at Barut Goia, and once again it exceeded our expectations.
The hotel itself is spotless, with the rooms being cleaned to a high standard. The food is amazing, with such a fantastic variety that there’s something for everyone. Every member of the bar staff was friendly, and welcoming, and professional.
A huge special mention has to go to the entertainment team, especially Yasemin, who manages the kids club and entertainment, and Yani. The love, care and attention they put into every child is truly incredible. From planning the daily activities to making sure every child feels included and has fun, nothing is ever too much trouble.
My daughter absolutely loved the kids club and would patiently countdown the hours till the kids disco every night at 8pm Yasemin and Yani put so much effort into the dance routines, music choices and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. You can genuinely see how passionate they are about what they do.
Another big shout out is to Kilan, who did an amazing job getting the crowd warmed up and involved before each evening performance. His energy can’t be matched and is infectious. This year’s MJ tribute act was absolutely incredible and was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday. It made my nephews holiday special as he’s a huge MJ fan and seeing how much he enjoyed it is a memory I won’t forget.
This was our second year visiting, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The staff, facilities, food and cleanliness, and entertainment are all exceptional. If you’re looking for a hotel that genuinely goes above and beyond for both adults and children, this is the place. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return again.
