Just back from our 3rd visit as a family of 6, absolutely amazing stay again. All staff work so hard in every aspect. The hotel is spotless, the food is lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Staff remembered us from our previous visits which was nice. 100% recommend, see you next year ❤️
Alas a return to reality, from 38 degrees to 8 in a short flight. We’ve only ever been to Turkey in July or August before, but the temperature for our September trip this year was just perfect and a time we’d definitely repeat. We’ve had a fantastic 10 night break in Barut Goia. We stayed as an all-adult family group. Having been at 4 Baruts previously I wasn’t sure what to expect from the cheaper price point and reading gripes online. It really more than met our expectations from the trusted Barut brand.
The accommodation was fantastic, modern and spacious. Above all the staff make the holiday experience, super polite, professional and so helpful.
Mentioning to the lifeguard I was having trouble with the low sun beds as my mobility is challenged just now, no sooner mentioned and a staff member had replaced it with a much higher option. It made things so much easier and I was very grateful. Exceptional service. The cleanliness was noted at all times, making the hotel look amazing. The groundsmen around the pool do a great job. The barmen were fantastic. Especially Ramazan, super efficient. And guest relations Sabrina, so attentive and willing to help, such a nice manner, so professional.
And especially to Fuat in the Olea Kitchen, exceptional 5* service at all times. So friendly, exquisite manners, humorous, personable and above all a brilliant example of the esteemed Barut brand ……. 5*. He was the outstanding ‘face of Barut’ for us this vacation. Thanks Fuat for being so awesome!
I celebrated my birthday whilst we were there. And a big thank you for the surprise cake which arrived at my room. Beautiful and delicious and most unexpected. Very talented chefs. Being serenaded by the Olea staff at dinner was another surprise, and being presented with another delicious mini cake with candle lit. Very special. Their thoughts and kindness made our day very special.
Constructively, we would have liked the opportunity to get coffees etc available early at the pool on the ‘quiet side’. At least a self-operating machine. As it stands it doesn’t open ‘til 10am and there are a lot of people going about early. It’s not ideal having to walk right across to the Ivy bar for your morning cuppa, nor folks walking about with hot drinks to bring them back.
A negative 😕 both the room cleaners were unsubtly looking for tips. Perhaps the language barrier exceeded the ‘pester power’. Maybe some advice would be not to stakeout the holidaymakers and let them leave a tip in the room if they wish. Holidaymakers can’t tip everyone, but can do it to their own choice directly if they want as we did, or use the various tip boxes around the hotel. This overbearing behaviour spoils such a good brand reputation.
To summarise we really enjoyed our stay, we knew we would and will definitely consider returning again, if the price is right.
Thanks so much 😄
In terms of guests with mobility issues - an improvement would be to have a handrail to walk into the pool at the ramp. So you can be more independent and safe. And if there was a disabled toilet near the pool too that would be helpful. We were grateful being able to hire a wheelchair on site. I must stress this is not a direct hire with the hotel, and is handled by the on site doctor’s surgery. I got the best of what was available and well the quality wasn’t great, minus a brake etc, some might say ‘unsafe’. It did a job, not without the angst of being in it each trip😩.
Very fun and welcoming place Vladimir was very friendly, joining in with activities such as water polo and was very polite.
We've just returned from a 10 day stay at Barut Goia as two adults, a 7 year old & a 2 year old. Overall we've had a really lovely holiday, you won't be disappointed as there's lots of positives about this hotel. There are a few things that could be improved to give it more of a luxury 5 star feel. Compared to other 5* hotels we've stayed at in Turkey, I would say this is more 4* but it is also a cheaper price point. We would consider returning in future.

Whilst there we went to the side old town for a meal at orfoz which was really lovely & a fantastic sunset view. We got a taxi from outside the hotel which was €10 each way and really easy.
I would recommend a private transfer from the airport. We used best trips Antalya, communication was great & they were reliable. We then booked an evening trip to the land of legends at the last minute. Best trips Antalya booked us in with less than 24 hour notice and were fantastic.
We went to the nemo restaurant at land of legends which was a brilliant experience. The kids loved looking at the fish & the food was nice, but be prepared for it to be quite expensive.
Overall, we've had a really lovely holiday. For the price, this is a nice hotel with a lot of positives & things we enjoyed.
I was actually quite skeptical about this trip at first.
We were travelling with two very young children, including our four-month-old baby, so I wasn’t even sure I wanted to travel abroad. I had also originally wanted to go to Spain and, to be completely honest, I was a little skeptical about Turkey based on previous trips.
Then we found Barut GOIA.
It looked great, it was five-star, very family-friendly, and the relatively short transfer from Antalya Airport was a big plus for us when travelling with small children.
I’m so glad we decided to book it.
The experience started the moment we were picked up at the airport for our private transfer. A ridiculously luxurious minibus arrived – LED lights, music, comfortable seats, cold drinks and water. Honestly, it looked like one of those luxury transfer vans you see on TikTok and assume you’ll never actually get! The driver was also incredibly friendly.
When we arrived at the hotel, everything we had requested beforehand had already been arranged. The baby cot was ready, the room was prepared exactly as we had hoped, and because our son loves milk, there was even a bottle of milk waiting for us in the fridge. We arrived late at night and were still able to get food from the late-night buffet.
These might sound like small details, but when you’re travelling with two very young children, they make an enormous difference.
And then there is the staff.
The housekeeping team, the bartenders, the breakfast staff, the reception team, the people helping with restaurant reservations – genuinely everyone we interacted with was fantastic. Friendly, professional, helpful and always making us feel welcome.
At one point I managed to lose my phone. The staff went above and beyond trying to help me find it, practically turning the place upside down looking for it. Eventually, it was found. That level of genuine care and service is something I won’t forget.
We had Ultra All Inclusive, and it really was ALL inclusive. Food, drinks, cocktails, water – everything. During the entire holiday, we spent only around 1,700 SEK (roughly €150) on top of what we had already paid for the trip. Once we were at the hotel, we basically never had to think about money.
We also met some wonderful families during our stay, and we all kept saying the same thing: this is the best hotel we’ve stayed at.
Normally, I’m the type of person who always wants to try somewhere new. A different hotel, a different destination, a different experience.
Barut GOIA has now created a problem for me.
It’s going to be very difficult to book somewhere else in the future when we already know that this place is exactly what we’re looking for.
We’re leaving incredibly happy and very grateful that we decided to take this trip.
Five very solid stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A huge thank you to everyone at Barut GOIA for an amazing week and for taking such great care of our family.
Warmest regards from the family in room 2022 ❤️
