- AQI Pegasos World

This family-friendly hotel is situated in the popular holiday region of the Turkish Riviera and enjoys a fantastic huge 10,000 m2 pool. The beautiful sandy beach is just a short stroll away, the hotel features 4 restaurants and several bars. The historic town of Side with its ancient sites is at a distance of 6 km, the city of Antalya and the international airport are 80 km and 70 km away, respectively.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed at Pegasos world for 2 weeks in August. The hotel itself looks exotic and beautiful and not to mention huge! It’s in a good location. 15mins walk to a few shops and a couple of bars & you can get the bus outside to side. We had a lovely stay. Does have everything you need. Waterpark, beach etc. I would have gave it 5 star rating. Just a little feedback for hotel… being a huge hotel. It needs self service beer pumps or staff going around with drinks. As some places you sit. You have to walk along way to get to the bar. Another thing is separating the families in the darts and archery. My family all wanted to do this together as my son is very shy. But you couldn’t do this. On the beach it could do with some parasols. We loved the beach disco. That was our favourite! Sometimes you don’t need entertainment. Just good tunes. Would have been brilliant if there was theme nights. There all just little things that would make your hotel for me a 10/10. My only complaint would be the food. It’s so busy and food all over the place. For us it was chaos. We ended up eating out a lot. I just feel all meat should be in one section, fish in another, potato’s etc. I had to go round looking all the time. The positive was allowing us to bring breakfast back to the room! That was a life saver for me as my son couldn’t get up. So thank you for that. I always took the plates back.
The guy on the beach caplyso company. Was amazing sorting out our trips. Great value for money and had a wicked time.
We had a lovely stay at your hotel, staff were friendly. Was a little dissapointed that the cleaner didn’t do no towel art for my son’s birthday. I put banners up and his cards & thought she would. But didn’t.
Also a heads up. We missed our coach. I know this wasn’t to do with you. As the tui rep said it wasn’t our coach. But wanted to thank a member of your staff for kindly asking the next coach to take us. He was a life saver. The driver didn’t come in reception to check!
I never go back to the same hotel. But…. I am considering! We really loved it. Just minimal things for us as a family we like. Theme nights like rock, 80s, rave, white parties, fancy dress. More bars, parsoles on beach,
Overall. We had a lovely time. Thankyou!
I did some tiktoks for guest to see the room and trips we did. Roughdiamond77 I would also say to guest. Bring a plastic pint glass! Very important 😂
A few improvements needed, for example the plastic cups you get from the bars around the pool were dirty and not cleaned properly majority of the time, food selection could be better and the bathroom in our room was a bit grubby and could do with refurbishment.
The main concern is the cleanliness of the pool, 3 of my family members fell ill on our last day and all had to be taken to hospital and were all diagnosed with stomach infections caused by pool water, I was also ill the night before but not as bad, and we later saw on social media that several other guests fell ill as well.
Other than that, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but I don’t think I would visit this resort again.
We travelled as a family of 5 and stayed for two weeks in a two-bedroom Deluxe Family Room at Pegasos World.
Overall, we had a fantastic family holiday. There is so much this hotel gets right, particularly the facilities, food, water park, beach and lifeguards.
There are, however, in our opinion several areas where relatively simple improvements could make the experience even better.
Transfers and arrival
Our outbound tour operator transfer took around an hour once it got moving, although we had already waited approximately 45 minutes on the coach for another flight to arrive. Fortunately, everyone was travelling to Pegasos World so there were no additional hotel stops.
We arrived very late at night alongside around 15 other families, resulting in a long check-in queue. Additional reception staff when several coaches are arriving together would make a big difference. There was food on offer but sadly nothing we really fancied.
Unfortunately, our return transfer was considerably worse and took approximately three hours. We appreciate that our tour operator cannot control Antalya traffic, but congestion in the area appears to be well known and should be factored into transfer planning. After three hours on the coach with children, we then felt rushed through check-in and the additional airport security procedures.
If returning, I would seriously consider a private transfer and would recommend you explore this option.
Accommodation
Our two-bedroom Deluxe Family Room was spacious, very clean and had an impressive amount of storage. The free safe, blackout curtains and air conditioning were excellent and we had no issues with noise in Block 4.
Two children had proper beds while our youngest had a fold-out chair bed. Adding one of the hotel’s blankets underneath made it much more comfortable, but personally I think an older or heavier child could struggle with this. Given the cost of a family holiday, I think every guest should have a suitable bed.
House keeping
Housekeeping was generally very good and bottled water was replenished daily, although occasionally we weren’t left enough towels for five people.
Concern with room Our only real concern with the room was the balconies. Some wooden slats appeared quite flimsy. Our children are all 8+ and I still wouldn’t allow them onto the balcony unsupervised.
This is something I would encourage management to improve based on other hotel designs. I have travelled a lot and this is the least secure a balcony has felt.
Resort, pools and safety
Pegasos World is enormous and the grounds are lovely. Despite the number of guests, there is so much space and plenty to do. I would say it was very accessible to those in a wheelchair or who use a pushchair. Be prepared for A LOT of distance to be covered the resort is massive.
The water park was a massive hit with our family and the slides are brilliant. Definitely bring water shoes because the ground becomes incredibly hot – replacements in the hotel shop cost us €15 a pair! They will let you pay by card reluctantly and this will be reluctantly charged in Turkish Lira. Check the exchange rate.
The lifeguards deserve particular praise. They were professional, vigilant and weren’t afraid to challenge unsafe behaviour. They are a real asset to the hotel. We provided them with water cups on several occasion as they are just sat there for hours with no hotel staff providing water to them and none of them having their own water bottles. If you see a life guard please provide them a drink! It really shouldn’t be down to guests.
The sunbed situation is as ridiculous as other reviews suggest. We made friends with people who confirmed they were getting up at 4.30–5am to reserve them! We refused to let a poxy sunbed dictate our holiday, enjoyed our sleep and used the beach, water park and indoor pool instead. We always found somewhere. Just not prime position. Which would have been an issue should our children have been smaller.
One thing the hotel really does need to address is the slippery flooring around some pool areas. Yellow warning signs are present, but with thousands of wet adults and children walking around, signs alone aren’t enough. More non-slip matting and staff regularly removing excess water would make a significant difference. This was probably my biggest safety concern. We almost fell over on multiple occasions.
There were also temporary pool closures during our stay, including following accidents involving young children. Parents really do need to follow the swim-nappy rules. The hotel do their best to police this via the life guards.
We were completely well throughout our two-week holiday. Unfortunately, one of our children began feeling unwell during our flight home and subsequently developed significant vomiting and diarrhoea. Another of our children then became unwell after we returned home. Friends we made at Pegasos World travelled home separately on a different flight and their children also became unwell with vomiting. Our children had spent time playing together in a pool area which had previously been closed off that morning and then reopened following what we understood to be maintenance. I want to be very clear that we do not know what caused the illness and I would not claim that either the hotel or pool was responsible without evidence. However, given the similar timing across separate families travelling on different flights, we felt it was important to report the circumstances to our tour operator. We have done so and asked to be kept informed if they identify anything relevant or receive similar reports.
Beach The beach was one of our favourite parts of the resort. There were some fantastic waves which our children loved, and plenty of water sports are available if you’re prepared for the additional expense.
We also booked an excursion during our holiday via the beach and had a fantastic day. Be aware of the hidden costs.
Food and restaurant The food was exceptional and one of the highlights for us. There was an enormous choice, including large joints of meat being freshly cooked, and all five of us found something we enjoyed every evening.
I genuinely don’t recognise some reviews describing the food as terrible. They are catering for thousands of guests and we thought the overall standard was very good.
Our biggest restaurant frustrations were actually other guests – queue jumping, children running around or using their scooters whilst people were carrying hot plates and lots of people ignoring dress rules. This needed to be challenged more.
Smoking around the outside restaurant seating was also unpleasant. There were signs on some of the tables that were ignored by guests. In my opinion, restaurant seating everywhere should be completely smoke-free.
We travelled with a dairy allergy in our family and initially found the system confusing. Once we identified the correct member of staff to speak to, however, he was absolutely brilliant and ensured there was something suitable every day. Clearer information when guests first arrive would make this much easier. As despite information being given to us at customer relations it wasn’t clear who specifically to speak to in the restaurant.
One thing we didn’t particularly like was that guests who regularly tipped appeared to receive more attention and table drinks service, sometimes while others were queuing. In an all-inclusive resort, service shouldn’t feel dependent upon tipping.
Bars, activities and entertainment
The bars were mixed. Some staff were lovely, while others could be abrupt, and cocktail quality varied depending upon who made them. Or if you tipped!
There are loads of daytime activities. Our teenager tried the teen club once but didn’t find it particularly worthwhile because younger children appeared to have been combined into the session. This should not be happening in my opinion.
Evening entertainment was good. The Michael Jackson show was particularly impressive, as was a fire/dance show we watched. Arrive early if you want good seats. Be prepared for other guests to stand in front of your tables though. The rudeness of others was unreal during the stay.
Wi-Fi
A special mention for the Wi-Fi – genuinely some of the best hotel Wi-Fi we’ve experienced abroad. It worked extremely well in our room and throughout the resort. The reason for mentioning this is because we didn’t want to pay our network providers £7 a day to use internet or to receive messages.
Shops and extras
The downstairs supermarket is extraordinarily expensive! There are much cheaper shops around a 20-minute walk away.
My advice is to bring everything you might need – particularly water shoes, toiletries, medicines and sun cream – because resort prices can be steep.
Hotel shop is an absolute rip off and the management of the hotel should really change this.
Smoking
Smoking throughout the resort was one of our biggest frustrations. I would love to see Pegasos World introduce more clearly designated smoking areas and police this rather than allowing smoking so widely around a family resort.
Cats and kittens
There are lots of gorgeous cats and kittens and the hotel provides food and water for them. We did notice several with obvious eye problems or injuries, though, and I would like to see veterinary treatment provided where an animal is visibly unwell rather than care stopping at food and water. I am aware some guests reported this to the hotel.
Overall
Despite the criticisms above, we genuinely had a fantastic two weeks at Pegasos World.
The resort is impressive, our accommodation was spacious and clean, the food was excellent, the water park was brilliant, the beach was lovely, the Wi-Fi was outstanding and the lifeguards were exceptional.
The illness following our return has understandably put a cloud over the end of our holiday, particularly now that children from both our family and another family have been affected. However, we don’t know the cause and I don’t think it would be fair to retrospectively turn what was a very enjoyable two-week stay into a negative review because of something we cannot currently attribute to the hotel.
Would I recommend Pegasos World? Yes, with the reservations mentioned above.
Would we return? Before travelling home I would have said yes without hesitation. Given the illness, I would now want to know whether our tour operator identifies anything before making that decision.
Would we return to Turkey?
Probably not, although this isn’t specifically a reflection on Pegasos World.
We found the constant expectation to pay in euros strange when Turkey isn’t a euro country, and we didn’t particularly enjoy the frequent expectation to tip drivers, tour guides and others when we’d already paid for the service.
I visited Turkey nearly 20 years ago and personally preferred the experience then. Tourism has undoubtedly changed, but at times it felt as though there was always another opportunity to get more money from tourists.
We’re normally a self-catering family, but I can absolutely understand the appeal of all-inclusive in Turkey. If you’re visiting, my advice would be to book all-inclusive and bring as many essentials as possible. Then you can concentrate on enjoying your holiday rather than constantly putting your hand back in your pocket.
hotel was so entertaining everythin was great especialy Mr.Suat helped alot when we needed thanks for a wonderful holiday
