Ali Bey Resort

Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed at.

We arrived at hotel and were welcomed by Onder at reception, he was very knowledgeable helped us with all questions, signed us into Internet, explained everything we needed to know and arranged a buggy to take us to our room. Dealt with him several times after arrival always went over and above to help us.

Our room was block 2. We liked the location, a little walk to main area but suited us. Room was large and spotlessly clean, welcome drinks and fruit, stocked fridge that was replenished daily. Small balcony, not best view but literally just used it for drying swimsuits. Bathroom large and stocked with everything you needed, only comment on bathroom is bath was very high, there was a stool to use as a step to get into it but might be challenging to anyone with mobility issues. Room cleaned daily to high standard.

The pools, take your pick, there is something for everyone. The adult only pool was absolutely stunning but very quiet. There was a large lagoon type pool, a heated pool, a splash park, a pool with slides, a shallow pool and of course the beach which was cleaned ever evening. We stayed mainly by the lagoon pool, lovely wooden sun beds with mattresses, ladders and steps to access pool, and best of all we were served drinks by pool by the lovely Tugba, she was so pleasant and remembered what people drank, how I will never know.

The main restaurant was amazing, I have to say this was the best all inclusive we have had, beating a lot of the cruise ships we have experienced. Every holiday we go out one evening for food, we didn't bother while here because the food really was exceptional. Lunch time we tended to wander over and get a baked potatoe close to pool, we also had fresh made rolls, waffles etc, and next door was a patisserie with cakes to die for and icecream. We didn't try anywhere else as these suited us perfectly.

We enjoyed the entertainment really good for all inclusive.

The rest rooms were immaculate and were constantly being cleaned.

We had a taxi into the old town, 10€ there and again 10€ back. We were dropped by monument which was amazing, from where we were dropped off we walked down the road with supermarket on corner, down hill to promenade and turned right, loads of restaurants and shops on streets to the right as you walk along the front.

We found ample sockets in hotel room, but took a multi charger plug so only used 1.

You could use any currency, we used Turkish, Euro and Stirling.

The transfer was approx 1.5 hours from airport.

Honestly this is a beautiful hotel, all the staff were amazing wherever you were but Onder and Tugba really were exceptional to us.

We most definitely will be returning.

We recently stayed at this hotel with our young daughter and overall had a wonderful holiday. The hotel itself is immaculate – everything is always spotless, and the grounds are beautifully maintained with stunning scenery throughout the resort.

The pools are spacious and never feel overcrowded. There are always plenty of sunbeds available, so there's no need to rush out early in the morning to reserve one. The beach is equally well maintained, felt very safe, and is just a short walk from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient when travelling with a young child.

The food was very good overall, and the cocktails were fantastic – always freshly made and of a high standard. The beach bar served some excellent food too. The only dining experience we wouldn't repeat is the à la carte restaurant. The menu wasn't significantly different from the main buffet restaurant, and the long waits between courses made it difficult with a young child.

The staff were one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made a genuine effort to interact with our daughter, which we really appreciated.

The rooms are beautiful and well presented. However, our balcony received very little sun, meaning swimwear often remained soaking wet from the previous day. We also found the balcony railings weren't particularly toddler-friendly due to concerns about little ones potentially getting their heads stuck.

Evening entertainment was excellent, especially the children's disco, which our daughter thoroughly enjoyed.

There were a few areas where we feel improvements could be made. Smoking during meals was quite off-putting. While there is a designated smoking area in the main restaurant, this wasn't the case at the beach bar, where smoke often drifted into dining areas.

Families with young children should also be aware that the bath design isn't particularly child-friendly. The high marble bath made bathing our daughter quite challenging and felt less safe than a standard bath setup.

We understand that staff need to travel around the resort using golf carts, but on several occasions they appeared distracted by mobile phones or were travelling too quickly. We often had to move out of the way with our pushchair to avoid being hit.

The resort also has a number of cats roaming the grounds. While some guests may enjoy this, we frequently saw cats lying on freshly laid towels, which could be an issue for anyone with allergies. There was also occasionally an unpleasant smell of cat waste around the children's pool area.

Despite these points, we had a lovely stay and would happily return. The cleanliness, beautiful grounds, excellent staff, spacious pool areas, and family-friendly atmosphere far outweighed the negatives.
