A beautiful place to relax
I gotta say that Ali Bey Resort in Sorgun is probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in the Side area. If all goes well, I’ll be back next year, but for longer than seven days — that just wasn’t enough for me.
I came here just to relax, clear my head and swim in the sea. The beach is really nice, but one thing I really didn’t like was that smoking is allowed there. No matter where I sat or when I went to the beach, there always seemed to be someone smoking nearby, and the wind would blow the smoke straight into my face. I came to breathe in the sea air, not second-hand smoke. In my opinion, smoking should be banned on the beach.
Apart from that, the beach was lovely — clean and sandy — and I really liked the thatched parasols. There’s a beach bar, but you can also order drinks using the QR codes on the parasols.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was helped straight away at reception, with no waiting. The room was spacious and clean, and I’d like to thank my housekeeper, Ümmü, who did an amazing job. Overall, the staff were very polite, kind and helpful without being intrusive. I especially appreciated this in the restaurant.
The whole resort feels like one big botanical garden. It was a balm for my soul.

Best hotel I’ve been to
We went to Ali Bey Resort Sorgun for two weeks from 24 September. We have returned there a number of times and will continue to. The whole resort is spotless and cleaners are around all the time. The setting is beautiful with gorgeous gardens set in a forest. The rooms are lovely and are very luxurious with comfortable bed and even a jacuzzi in the bath! The food is really good with so much choice. I have to praise the service. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I would particularly mention: Ridvan (I think he is bar manager) Aleyna (Rumi Bar and Restaurant) Emre (restaurant) Mikhail (restaurant) Sena (Rumi Bar, patisserie and restaurant) Sena (Restaurant) Murat (restaurant) Serkan (barman at Rumi bar) Umett (patisserie and restaurant) Recep (restaurant and Rumi bar) Hasan (I think the day manager for food and drinks). All the staff were amazing but these were the ones that stood out during our stay. We had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ali Bey Resort to anyone. Shen and Claire

Fabulous Resort and Excellent staff
We are just returning back to the UK, having had A fabulous time at the Ali Bey Resort in Sordum. The staff at the resort are so friendly and cannot do enough for yoy. There is so much to do if you want to or just relax on the beach or by the pool. We really enjoyed both the beach and the Adult only pool. We visited one of the A La Carte restaurants to celebrate our wedding anniversay. The staff made it a magical eveing. You cannot fault the main restaurant for quality and choice. If i have to be picky, i would say the Deluxe rooms could do with a refresh, however, other than that we loved the resort and will definitely be back

Entertainment and better shows
We had a really enjoyable stay at the resort overall. The food was good, there was plenty of choice, and the cleanliness throughout the resort was very good. The staff were also friendly but some of the staff did lack being attentive to tables not going back and forwards to tables asking them for drinks ect but overall staff was good.
One area that I was disappointed with was the evening entertainment, particularly for young adults. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a great deal for them to do in the evenings, and we found that the young adults were getting bored. I really feel this is an area the resort could make a big difference in.
There is a pub/disco later in the evening, but every time we went past or checked it, it was practically empty. I don’t think enough is being done to advertise or encourage guests to actually go there. The resort should be doing much more promotion throughout the day and evening — advertising the disco, getting the entertainment team involved, encouraging guests to go, and creating a real atmosphere so people actually want to stay and enjoy it.
I think themed disco nights would be a fantastic idea too, such as a White Party, summer party nights and other fun themed events. It would also be great to have more English-themed entertainment and parties so that English guests have something they can really get involved in and enjoy. If these events were advertised properly in advance and promoted around the resort, I think they could be much busier and create a much better atmosphere.
More pool activities and games during the day would also be amazing, particularly for young adults and families. Having more things going on around the pool would give guests more opportunities to get involved and have fun.
Overall, we had a good holiday and would definitely consider returning. We are looking at coming back in late summer next year, and we really hope some of these things can be changed or improved by then. I genuinely think that with more pool activities, better evening entertainment and a much bigger push to promote and fill the disco with themed nights and activities, the resort could offer a much better experience for young adults/adults.
5⭐ Lovely Hotel
Writing this as it's our last day, hotel is very clean, friendly staff, good location and the food has been excellent - had many all inclusive holidays and this is one of the best we have had. The beach and grounds are immaculate, only one day struggled to get sunbeds. One slight down side was the big umbrellas on the beach blocked off the view of the beach and sea and the grounds have lots of trees so no views from your hotel room either. The room was big and has a whirlpool bath which was nice, mini bar in room filled every day with beers, wine, soft drinks and a chocolate bar and nuts! Went in a taxi to Maganvet market, cost 12 eoros each way. If we were the type of people that return to a hotel year after year it would be this one.
