Excellent hotel
Just returned from a 2 week stay in this beautiful resort. All rooms have a sea view which is very rare and greatly appreciated. The food, drinks and staff are all excellent. We booked a cabana on the beach on 2 separate occasions and it was worth every penny. Eren our beach waiter was excellent looking after us. We went into Side twice by getting the local bus for €1.50 per person on the way and a taxi back for €12. Both gave change in euro so did not have to change any money into Lira as all shops also took euro and gave change in euro. We used the adults pool and the bar staff here were excellent. Gabriel, Engin, Musa. Ice creams readily available which is a really nice touch. Pinar and Bahar who served us drinks in the bar and the clubhouse lounge were so pleasant and efficient. The entertainment was excellent. We especially enjoyed the quiz storm every night. Using an app on your phone was fantastic. We had a Turkish bath in the hotel spa which was amazing. I also had hair cut, colour and treatment in the hotel and was very impressed with the service. We have been to the Akra in Fethiye and we will return there sometime but next year we will be back to Sorgun again for another fantastic holiday.

Good but not wowed
This is a nice hotel. It has lots of positive points.
- Rooms are great - we had an adult swim up.
- Food is good in the à la carte restaurants.
- Grounds are exceptional.
- Cleaning service is good.
- The staff generally provide good service and are friendly.
The reasons it wasn’t wow for us.
- Service was variable. On a few occasions in the main buffet restaurant we had to wait around 10 mins before being offered a drink - both at breakfast and in the evenings.
- Buffet was Ok but a little repetitive and with some food being lukewarm (I accept that this is always a challenge when food is left out).
- Many of the sun beds around the adult pool were dated and looked grubby - as well as being uncomfortable. One or two sections had newer beds and the family pools had beds with pads which looked much nicer and more comfortable.
- Entertainment was hit and miss. A couple of good bands but some awful ones. The regular on site musicians were obviously talented but the sets were not really chilled more quite dull. And don’t get me started on the background music played around the hotel. Not really sunny holiday vibe.
- we reported a broken tile by the steps to our pool, when we left 5 days later it still had not been replaced.
We had a nice holiday and everything is subjective but not a hotel we would rush back too.

Stayed April, June and September all fantastic
We normally visit twice a year but this year did an extra visit in April. Must admit when we arrive we think there could be a possibility that it may not be as good as last time but every time we visit they go above and beyond and its always better, such a fantastic hotel
The staff are an absolute credit to Mr Ergin Sarp and he has done so many improvements in the time he has been General Manager at the hotel. We can see the great improvement as we have stayed at this lovely hotel 16 times
We must mention the following staff Ocean - Gahad Ibrahim and Atilla (in buffet as well) Turkish - Orguz have always received great service from him for a long time The Prime - Harun Italian - Emin and Mehmet Buffet - Sercan - such a lovely guy extremely helpful and kind always checking everythjng is ok such a genuine person. Along with Mehmet who used to be in the Italian another guy so helpful The staff in the Lounge bar and Club House Lounge bar are terrific knowing your drink in advance and having it ready for you especially Mahir and Ahmed Ishmael is great always making time to talk to us and checking everything is ok another great genuine person Emin also takes time to talk to you and always asking if all is ok. We wish him great happiness when he gets married in Oct Aisha in the beach bar is a ray of sunshine each time we see her Gabriel at the Adult Pool is a very pleasant and lovely guy working so hard in the heat always with a smile Reception staff are all very efficient always acknowledge you with a smile or a Hi as you walk through Thea cafe all staff are so lovely To be honest all staff we have come across are great always with a smile on their face Our cleaner room 3116 was such a cheerful person with a permanent smile on her face it was lovely to come back to the room every afternoon
Food is very important to us and is at the top of our list for choosing a hotel. The food is fantastic in all the a la cartes with great choices in all of them. The Italian and The Prime are our favorites. The Prime serves fantastic steaks cooked to perfection The buffet has great food with good variety we only visit for breakfast and dinner as the ocean and Italian are our favorites for lunch. Galla night is really good with fantastic choice and really good food. Please give our compliments to all the chefs and kitchen staff
Loved the live bands in the evening at The Club House Lounge bar such a great atmosphere
The adult pool is in such a lovely setting where you can relax in quieter areas if you wish The grounds are extensive and so well looked after by the gardeners they are beautiful

Wonderful hotel
Was recommended this hotel by a friend and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Our first visit to Turkey and it won’t be our last. The staff at this hotel are a credit and do everything they can to ensure that their guests have a wonderful stay. All the staff were amazing, but a particular shout out to Homer on the beach and Atilla in the buffet.
The food in the buffet was varied and tasty, as was the meal we had in the Olive restaurant.
The grounds are beautiful and immaculate.
Always plenty of sunbeds available both by the pools and on the beach.
Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed and was kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping.
Our only slight disappointment was that the beach is a bit shingly and the sea not very clear. We were pleased that we’d packed our water shoes!
The hotel was full but it didn’t feel busy. We didn’t have to queue or wait for anything.
Overall a lovely relaxing week.
