Laguna Beach Alya Resort and Spa

We had a wonderful stay! The beach was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing. Special thanks to the animation team for their positive energy and enthusiasm! The contests were fun, and beach volleyball was fantastic. The animators made our holiday unforgettable. We would definitely come back.

This is the second time we have stayed at Laguna Beach, our first stay was just over two years ago when we had a lovely holiday and when we have visited again the hotel certainly didn’t disappoint. We would even go so far as to say that the hotel has definitely upped their game. We arrived late at 12:15am, we decided against Jet2’s coach transfer after the last time as it took over 2hours and instead opted for a private transfer which got us to the hotel in a lot less time. Check in was seamless and the guys on reception even recognised us from two years ago. We had paid extra when we booked for a pool facing room but we were a bit disappointed when we realised they had allocated us a disabled room, we were to tired to go back to reception and decided to just accept the room for what it was as we wouldn’t be in there that much but when we went to use the shower the next morning we found it didn’t work properly and was leaking, so we went down to reception to explain the situation and by 11.30am they had sorted and moved us to another room There is plenty of food with lots of choice for everyone and they also hold theme nights over the week, the hotel also has two A La-carte restaurants, a Turkish and an Italian with a meal in either of these included in your stay, you do have to book but well worth a visit, we booked into the Italian and the food and wine was delicious! Entertainment team kept everyone going all day every day apart from Sundays. The only disappointment about them is that they always seem to connect, sit and speak to the same people all the time. In the ten nights we were here the only engagement I had with them was when taking part in the games other than that they never came and sat and spoke to us. There are plenty of sun beds and people normally start putting the towels on around 8am when they go for breakfast. The waiting staff are great and can’t do enough for you. Some staff were still there who had been there when we last visited 2 years ago and they recognised us and we were well looked after. Everywhere is absolutely spotless and staff are constantly going round collecting glasses and emptying your lounger bins. One of the downsides to our stay was the night time Entertainment, there was something going on every night but we found that compared to the last time we visited where the entertainment started around 8pm, this time it didn’t start until well after 10pm which could prove a bit late for some people especially those with young families. One thing I would like to suggest is that the hotel maybe has a designated smoking area especially during meal times as there is nothing worse than people smoking around you when you’re trying to eat your food. Overall our stay at Laguna Beach was amazing and we will definitely be returning.
