This hotel does Excactly it says what is says on the tin!! Great drinks Cocktails are made fresh the barstaff are really good at what they do Beer is efes!! They use captain Morgan white and spiced which is really good for all inclusive Food is nice bit repetitive but plenty of choice always look at the back of the restaurant outside there is some more voice one night had grilled lamb chops so always good to check there! As you know you can use the Ramada which is basically the same but nice for a change But most of all the beach day and night is absolutely brilliant for food quiet/lively areas the pier only serves beer wine and soft drinks but they also have 3 bars aswell by theatre stage snack bar is better than hotel during the day on beach an most of all the beach pool for water games music and the hotel song !!! Clap clap!! You can’t go wrong with this hotel and the beach area you can’t justify the prices in Delphin an all the other light up hotels they will do Excactly the same but maybe a bit bigger but don’t be put off with Wyndham and Ramada One tip book your ala carte first day your there to get in we went the Italian it was ok but many more to choose from All in all a quality second time to Lara beach area we love it
We have just returned from a stay at Wyndham Garden Lara Beach and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for.
The hotel itself is very clean, and the housekeeping team do a great job. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops within walking distance, and the private beach area is lovely. We really enjoyed spending our evenings there, and it was definitely the highlight of the holiday.
One person who deserves a special mention is Adnan, who owns the bag shop in the hotel lobby. He was absolutely lovely throughout our stay – always friendly, welcoming and happy to chat. He genuinely made us feel welcome and is a real credit to the hotel.
Unfortunately, the buffet food became repetitive very quickly. Most days it felt like the same selection of nuggets, chips and rice, with very little variety. There were some different dishes available, but overall the choice didn’t change much from day to day, so after a few days it became quite boring.
The staff were very inconsistent. Some were genuinely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, while others were surprisingly rude. The worst experience came as we were leaving the hotel. The bellman who came to collect our luggage told us to “hurry up” and pass him the suitcases because he had other people to help. We were simply finishing packing the last few items into our cases and weren’t holding him up unnecessarily. It felt incredibly abrupt and unprofessional, and it wasn’t the kind of farewell you’d expect after spending a week at the hotel. Sadly, it summed up the inconsistent customer service we experienced throughout our stay.
Our room also smelled strongly of fresh paint when we arrived. The hotel did offer to move us, which we appreciated, but we asked whether we could be moved to a larger room instead. We were travelling as a family of four with our six-year-old twins, and the sleeping arrangements weren’t suitable. The twins had to share the double bed with me while my husband slept in a single bed because the camp bed provided wasn’t comfortable or practical.
Another frustration was the number of rules around the pool. We were told off by a lifeguard simply for sitting on the edge of the pool with a drink. We weren’t causing any disruption, but were immediately spoken to. The lifeguards, in particular, came across as rude and it often felt like they were looking for reasons to tell guests off rather than helping people enjoy their holiday.
Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly holiday, this hotel may suit you. However, after staying here, I would happily pay an extra £500 to stay somewhere with better food, friendlier service and a more relaxed atmosphere. While the hotel is clean, the beach is lovely and the location is convenient, the repetitive food, inconsistent customer service and overly strict environment meant it wasn’t the enjoyable family holiday we had hoped for.
Sadly, we won’t be returning
Beautiful clean hotel. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Wide variety of lovely food and drinks. Highly recommend. Thankyou for making our holiday :)
This was our first trip to turkey, we are a family of 5 (children 10, 8 & 5) joined by grandparents after a few days. We totally agree with the vast majority of the reviews on trip advisor.
The transfer is very quick about 30 mins. The place is so clean thanks to the amazing staff always so quick to clean up around you, around the pool, in the rooms, at mealtimes and general cleanliness around the whole complex. Special shoutout to Meydanci who was always working so hard and would go the extra mile to help with parasols/blowing up inflatables etc.
The entertainment team were great, especially at the beach pool (which you can either get a shuttle too or it’s actually quicker to walk) the beach was also lovely. We done alternate days at hotel pool and beach pool. They also put on great evening shows/bingo/kids fest with bouncy castles etc. It’s worth checking what’s on either at the hotel or beach as they are different each night.
The food is typical of all inclusive, generally similar every day but at a good standard! The only thing we missed out on was the Al a carte restaurants - we didn’t book at the start of our stay so missed out as it was all fully booked.
Our room was amazing - we had the family suite and overlooked the pool and there was plenty of room. The only slight moan would be how hard the beds are…it took some getting used to!
We stayed at the Wyndham Garden Lara between 21 June - 1 July. At first we were a bit sceptical but I can honestly say we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was and have actually booked to go back in September.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff worked so hard and were so friendly. We normally stay at larger more expensive hotels but have still found faults with a lot of them but with this hotel it is hard to find a fault with it.
Check in was really quick, we were given two room cards and two towel cards. Our room was in block 8 overlooking the pool, very modern, large flat screen TV, mini fridge, Aircon. The bathroom had a lovely large walk in shower. The rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard and bottles of water left. Towels changed and if you wanted your bed sheets changed then you leave a card that is in your room on the bed for the cleaner.
The main buffet restaurant had plenty of delicious food to choose from. We particularly liked the curry of an evening with cheesecake to follow. You never had to look around for seats, there were always plenty of spaces. And the staff were so quick at clearing tables and were very attentive, bringing drinks over etc.
We did not use the main pool on the hotel side as it is in the shade for most part of the day so we walked over to the beach side which only takes no more than 10 minutes where there is everything you need. There is a bus that runs every 15 mins if you prefer not to walk in the heat. There are two pools, one for kids with the aqua park, a beach restaurant, pizza bar, drinks bar. There is also an undercover play area for kids and table tennis tables and pool tables. Never had any problems getting a sunbed by the pool. The only place is getting seats on the jetty, which is always full. There are steps down into the sea for those who like to swin in the sea. There are always plenty of sun loungers on the beach too but the only thing I would say is that the chairs are too far away from the water, they need to be a bit nearer!
The hotel itself is situated in the centre of Lara so all you have to do is walk out of the hotel and there are lots of shops and bars within easy reach. You can also use the facilities at the Ramada across the road.
The entertainment staff work really hard, there are activities throughout the day at the pool and beach, water polo. Beach volleyball, darts, table tennis, pool game each day at 12.00 with the exception of Sundays.
There is a stage at the beach side where they have evening shows, we liked the Michael Jackson show.
There was only one issue I would say, well might not be an issue for everyone but for us the seating area outside of the main buffet restaurant had a very strong smell of cigarettes, so much so that we couldn't sit there for a drink. We even walked through the restaurant to get to the lobby so we didn't have to breathe it in.
All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, it's certainly value for money compared to some of the bigger hotels in the area and the customer relations and staff are second to none!
