We have had an excellent experience at the spa. The staff are all fantastic and friendly. They really looked after us. The haman and massages were excellent. The staff are well trained. Highly recommend these treatments.
Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing. The receptionist Nazegűl was incredibly friendly, professional. The room was spacious, modern and very comfortable. It was cleaned every day to a high standard. We have a beautiful view to the pool. The food was delicious and variety, including local Turkish specialities and international cuisine. The staff was always smiling and eager to help. Excellent service and attention to detail. Thank you a great team to the beach bar: barmen Azad, barmate Hatice, patenti Garson Cabbor, friendly, professional and always ready to recommend the perfect drinks. FIVE STARS WITHOUT HESITATION! 1/5 Stars – Disappointing Experience at Wind of Lara
Our stay at Wind of Lara was very disappointing. The hotel is advertised as a 5-star luxury resort, but our experience fell well below that standard, and we would rate it closer to a 2-star stay.
Cleanliness and hygiene were major concerns during our stay. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and our room was not maintained to the standard we would expect from a hotel marketed as 5-star.
Several holidaymakers were ill during the holiday, with projectile sickness. Although we cannot say for certain what caused the illness, it was concerning in the context of the hygiene issues we observed and the condition of some of the food, the same food for more than 2 days!!
The food was also disappointing. The buffet had limited variety, and similar dishes appeared to be served across several days, with some meals looking reheated or repurposed rather than freshly prepared. À la carte restaurants were all closed, and no one was able to advise why or when they would open, only to find out that they are permanently closed.
Safety standards were another concern. Water remained on the floor in public areas for an extended period, creating a clear slipping hazard in areas regularly used by guests.
The overall standard of maintenance and attention to detail was poor. Rather than feeling like a luxury resort, the hotel felt tired and neglected, and staff did not give us confidence that guest concerns were being addressed effectively. I would add that a small number of staff did try to help and offered sympathy but were not able to do much within their remit; the root cause was clearly led by the senior leaders of the hotel.
This was not the relaxing holiday we had paid for. The combination of poor housekeeping, hygiene concerns, repetitive food, safety issues, and illness within our group significantly affected our stay.
We chose Wind of Lara because it was promoted as a 5-star hotel, but our experience did not reflect that level of quality, cleanliness, or service. We left disappointed and felt the hotel did not meet the standard guests should reasonably expect from a genuine 5-star resort.
We would not return, and we would advise anyone considering booking to read recent reviews carefully before making a decision.
