This was our third consecutive year at Swandor Topkapi Palace and we still think it’s one of the best hotels we’ve been to. We had a duplex room in block 4 with our 16 year old son, and also took my elderly parents for their first time, and they had a ground floor disabled room. Food is amazing, entertainment is second to none, with the Xone disco nights, amphitheater, main square bands and the nightclub, and new this year was the disco at the pier as well as the DJ sets in afternoons. So much to do for all age groups. My parents loved the patisserie/ coffee shop area too. Shops in the Lara resort are only 88p to get to on the public bus. Staff are very helpful. Would highly recommend and probably return again at some point.
Family of 4 , 2 teenage children. Booked the family duplex room which had a lovely pool and partial sea view. Nice spacious rooms with a mini bar, tv and bathroom on each floor. Lots of wardrobe space. Very clean with much needed air con. We arrived after 10pm and our bags were taken to our room and we were were directed to the late restaurant for dinner. Main restaurant opens 7-9pm and is quite busy so we used the later one a couple of times during our visit, still plenty of choice but not as busy. We also used this for the later breakfast 10-11am. The snack bar which is more of another main restaurant on the beach was also really nice with lots of options. Water fridges everywhere to help yourselves so didn’t need to queue at the bar for this. We took advantage of the beach bar in the afternoon as was a lovely atmosphere and the only place with a nice breeze! Lots of entertainment day and night and a good choice of fitness classes but you didn't feel pushed to join in. We didn’t go down to pool until 11am most days and there was always plenty of sunbeds still free. The only reason for losing a star was location, as we were a little way out and no footpath we were reliant on the bus or taxis to go anywhere although the bus was very cheap and ran regularly. Although there is so much to do at this hotel you don’t need to go out much unless you want to shop as the ones on site are expensive . All in all a fantastic hotel but would probably stay closer to the middle of Lara next time.
Everything was good. We liked kids club. We liked enterteiment team. Food is great. Beach is good.
It was not 5 star The hotel rooms are dated and cleaners are terrible they do not clean they only move a dirty mop n that’s it abywgeee else I went they moved everything and mopped dusted cleaned tidied Bathrooms are terrible and rooms tight squeeze shower water smelled and damp and had leak in shower roof had air con vent dropping down had creepy crawlies all time it just was horrible guest relations didn’t help at all they say all rooms are same ! Food was good quality I’m not gonna lie but it becomes repetitive and boring but we were never hungry A later breakfast would ov helped at it finished 9 am and we woke up just after every day n that was annoying ! No one asked us once how our stay was if we were ok if we need anything we were just left ! We had a baby never got my travel cot Dad had to sleep on single bed while o slept on double with baby worrying she would fall !!! I called explaining baby is ill need cleaners to clean properly still got no follow up ! Will not advice and also it’s just the resort Lara area of u try n catch a short taxi trip its ridiculous prices !!! Shoppings are silly too charges us £90 for a 5 min drive and one bottle brush and one liquid in total something I asked hotel to see if they can provide for our baby’s bottle but no they didn’t help at all Avoid the place ! Unless u r ok with smelly water dirty cold pools and no help
We stayed at this resort with our family last July. Until this incident, everything was perfect. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and everything else was great. But everything changed when our 9-month-old baby suddenly developed a very high fever. We asked the resort to call a doctor, but we were told that the doctor could do nothing for our baby. Instead, they sent us to a private hospital that clearly seemed to exist only to make money. To give our baby something as simple as Nurofen or Paracetamol, we were charged €800 in less than one hour. The service there was heartless and absolutely shocking. What disappointed us even more was that the resort reception did not offer any help, not even to arrange an ambulance during such a difficult moment. When my child’s health is at risk, I don’t care about overflowing plates of food or luxury facilities. Health and safety should always come first. I want to emphasize that we had valid travel insurance, but the private clinic they sent us to refused to accept it and demanded cash payment instead. They completely ignored our insurance. It was a total failure and a terrible experience. Ë I hope no other family has to go through what we experienced.
