This club resort is located right at the beach. It is roughly 17 kms from Antalya city centre and some 15 kms to Antalya Airport. Situated directly on the sands of Lara Beach, the luxurious resort is the perfect choice for all holiday makers. The air-conditioned resort has a host of modern amenities on hand to cater for guests' every need, from an array of dining options to excellent children's facilities. Each of the 221 well-appointed guest rooms offers spacious and fully equipped accommodation. In addition to 3 swimming pools, one of which is indoors (heated), the resort provides a full daytime and evening entertainment programme for both adults and children. Those looking to truly relax and unwind can enjoy a visit to the sauna or the steam room. More active guests may want to try their hand at various sports and activities available at the hotel.
I genuinely don't understand how this hotel is rated as a 5-star property. In my opinion, it's barely deserving of 3 stars.
Before we arrived, I contacted the hotel to request a quiet room due to my epilepsy, as lack of sleep and loud noise can trigger seizures. What I hadn't anticipated was being placed in a room completely engulfed by an overpowering chemical/sewage odour. Extremely strong smells are also a seizure trigger for me, so remaining in that room simply wasn't an option.
Initially, we were told it was the last room available in the hotel. What followed was over an hour of unnecessary stress after an already long day of travelling. Reception staff and the manager were arguing amongst themselves and were exceptionally rude throughout. Their attitude towards a genuine medical concern was shocking. At no point did anyone offer us somewhere comfortable to wait or even point out where we could get our children a drink. My husband went searching for the bar himself The solution was to split our family, putting me in a single room and the rest of my family in another room, with the possibility of moving us together the following day. For a holiday costing around £4,000, this was completely unacceptable. Also not possible medically.
We contacted Jet2 because I physically could not remain in a room with that smell due to the risk of triggering a seizure. (I only have 3 triggers, extreme smells, lack of sleep, very loud noise) While we were sitting in reception discussing my medical situation with Jet2 and looking for alternative accommodation, the hotel suddenly "found" another room that accommodated all four of us. This left us feeling that a suitable room had been available all along but simply wasn't offered until they realised Jet2were involved. Considering I had informed the hotel of my medical condition before arrival, I found this pretty disgusting. The new room and the original were both road facing with sirens going all night. My husband and kids slept through but I was unable too.
The only member of staff who deserves special recognition was the gentleman who showed us to the replacement room. He seemed genuinely embarrassed by the situation and treated us with kindness.
The waiting staff throughout the hotel were lovely, attentive, and hardworking, drinks were topped up and we were looked after during meals. The ladies working at breakfast and at lunch were particularly outstanding and were always friendly. They are a credit to the hotel.
Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel experience did little to improve our opinion. The buffet food was consistently lukewarm at best. The same was true of the food served at the beach bar.
The hotel advertises a patisserie, but in reality it was simply a room containing an unrefrigerated display cabinet with what appeared to be leftover cakes. The desserts throughout the hotel were all very soft, mushy in texture, served at room temperature, and had no labels to indicate what they were or whether they contained common allergens. The yogurt at breakfast was also never properly chilled and, on more than one occasion, seemed as though it had started to turn.
The pool areas were also disappointing. There were no lifeguards supervising the main pools, only one positioned at the top of the water slides. While we supervise our own children and don't allow them to wander unsupervised, this is something we've never encountered at any other 5-star resort.
The water slides themselves were poorly maintained. Several of the children, including ours, came off them with sore backs and small cuts from the slide surfaces. The largest slide remained closed for the majority of our stay.
Cleanliness was another issue. The pool area was noticeably dirty, particularly around the gazebos, and overall cleanliness throughout the resort fell well below what we'd expect from a luxury hotel. Rooms were dusty/dirty though the maids were lovely a probably overworked and underpaid. Inside pool has orange beds, please take a look before you lay down on those.
One evening my sons and I sat for a meal at the buffet, a few tables were reserved so of course we moved along. My sons had their plates. Following this, a waiter called Mehmet came to our table and told us to moves as he had reserved the table. I explained the table had no notes like the others(politely) he proceeded to glare at me, wave his hands around and tut at me, before walking away speaking to himself very loudly. He then didn’t serve us any drinks at all so we asked the waiters from another section who was happy to help.
We holiday in Turkey every year at Hilton and Liberty Fabay. Those places make this hotel feel like a dirty, cheap motel.
Amazing family holiday at Saturn Palace. Our first family holiday and first time to Turkey and it hasn't disappointed! The food, staff, location, room, everything has been excellent! We upgraded to a family room to have a separate room for teenagers, which was worth the extra. Both rooms have mini bar and air con throughout was just right! Entertainment was great, something on every night and then more afterwards if you wanted to stay out. Family friendly atmosphere, no sun bed wars, always able to get sunbeds even at 9am . Food was brilliant and having travelled with a Gluten intolerant child she was catered for first class, she would ask the Head chef Duran and he would bring her our anything she wanted, pizza, pasta, desserts and all food clearly labelled. Service from staff was top quality especially Mami - he was always bringing you drinks around the pool and at dinner , always remembered your order and have a laugh and joke! Such a character! Guest services were round everyday to see if you have any concerns and to ensure you were enjoying your stay. Even got a late check out arranged on the day before departure - which meant we can enjoy our last day! 2 mins walk the to beach through the complex and it was perfect , even if you didn't fancy a beach day just to nip over and have a dip in the sea and come back to the pool. We will definitely been returning to Saturn Palace Resort. It has been everything we hoped for and more! Thank you everyone x
Good personal service. The food is very good and every day different. Good away from hotel to the beach.
We had a fantastic holiday at Saturn Palace Resort. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail: the rooms were clean, the food was delicious and varied, and the atmosphere in the hotel was amazing.
A special compliment goes to the Guest Relations team. They were always friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. From the very first moment, we felt welcome. They were always ready to answer questions and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Their smiles, attention, and hospitality really made the difference.
Thanks to the amazing Guest Relations team and all the hard-working staff, we look back on an unforgettable holiday. We will definitely be back and recommend Saturn Palace Resort to anyone looking for a perfect stay in Antalya. Thank you for everything!
Here just now as a family of 3 and this is our 4th year at Saturn palace. We wouldn't go anywhere else! Our 13year old loves it!
The hotel is a lot smaller than other hotels but that’s what we like about it. No too big and over crowded. It’s more personal and you get to meet & speak with lots of staff & other guests.
We have always booked the VIP whirlpool terrace room on the ground floor. It’s so spacious and has lovely balcony with sun loungers, small table & chairs. These rooms only have a shower and no bath and the hot tub on the terrace is your bath which suits my teenager!
The AC in these room is superb, especially in the mid to late 30degree heat! Beds are comfy and you have mini fridge which is topped up daily. If there’s drinks you don’t like you can ask to swap no problem at all!
Our maid is lovely and thoroughly cleans our room daily, fresh towels, stocked fridge, toilet paper, toiletries and leaves flower arrangements on the bed which is a lovely touch!
The entertainment team is new this year but so good. They are all so lovely and friendly. Special mentions to Serhat, Mete, Ismail, Gul & sorry forgot the name of man with bald head that’s jokes a lot.) We like to participate but appreciate that not everyone likes to on holiday. The team do not pressure to you participate. We always got to pool at the bar as music is great and all activities happen there. Darts, shooting, water polo, pool games, dancing, water aerobics then there’s football, volleyball at the beach and also Bowles.
Nightime entertainment is great, something on every night around 9:15pm (kids mini disco is on before hand but never been as my son is older) After the shows there’s more afterwards at pool bar if you wanted to stay out.
The hotel is definitely more for families and has a great family friendly atmosphere. There’s no sun bed wars, always able to get sunbeds even at 9am. Although the kids pools tend to be the most popular so beds around these pools are taken quicker!
Waterpark is great enough pools and slides for both adults & kids! Temperature of the pools is perfect too. The spa has an indoor pool which is cold but after a day melting in this heat. A cold dip before heading up to the room at the end of the day was most welcomed! Even my 13yr old loved it!
2 mins walk the to beach through the complex and it was perfect , even if you don’t fancy or like the beach. It’s nice to walk down and go up the pier, I love it and you get a nice breeze and then just head back to the pool. Some people have a dip in the sea but I’ve not been brave enough yet!
Towels are provided here every day and you just exchange them at the spa with cards you're given when you check in!
It’s the staff that make this place, they are so friendly and honestly can’t do enough for you! They all work so hard and we find the place spotless as they never stop working. They always smile & say hello, no matter how busy they are.
Every year there can be different staff but the ones we have become very friendly with since our first visit 4yrs ago have remained.
Special mentions to Serhat the best pool bar tender who ensures our drinks are always ready for coming down to the pool. He always checks to make sure if you need anything throughout the day! He also makes the best cocktails!
Hakan is the best manager I’ve ever met & such a lovely man! He’s become a great friend and even organised a bottle of Morgan’s spiced for my husband in our room. My husband was so touched & he’s never forgotten that!
Hakan & his team (customer relations/guest services) come around everyday to see if you have any concerns and to ensure you’re enjoying your stay. Anything you ask them they will always try accommodate for you, no questions asked! I’ve never been to a hotel that has a customer relations team come round everyone daily! Outstanding service!
The food is lovely, plenty buffet options, all cooked in front of you and kitchen cooking area is spotless! They also have labels in several languages to let you know what everything is! Then outside you have special stations that change dishes each night as well as the grill house that have steak, chicken or fish and it’s delicious! The selection of food is brilliant and always something for everyone. The desserts are lovely and find it hard to control how many to have! Lol
Service from waiting staff was top quality especially Mami, he’d have our table ready every night for dinner. Always bringing you drinks at dinner (and around the pool) he always remembers your order and have a laugh and joke! Such a character & that infectious laugh has everyone laughing!
Oktay & reception team are all lovely & attentive too. We always email before arriving to see if we can have the room we like. This year we’ve come later in summer holidays & hotel is very busy. Our room we like was taken so we stayed in an other room for one night and then Hakan & Oktay sorted our room for the next day. Nothing is an issue and as I said they always go above & beyond to help cater for your needs!
Every year we ask for a late check out & always been lucky! We still have a week left of our holiday so still to ask again this year but from previous years experience this shouldn’t be an issue.
The location is further along the main strip of Lara, away from bigger hotels & the shops but we like that as quieter. You can get reception to call a taxi or walk down the bottom of the road and taxi rank across at the lights. There’s also bus stop too but we haven’t taken a bus as think it be too hot. You’re only about 5/10mins away in taxi to the strip or if you want to walk it could in 25mins.
The food, staff, location, room, everything is excellent! It’s a hidden gem of a hotel. I appreciate everyone has different preferences but for us we love this hotel & staff. It’s such good value for money compared to other hotel prices!
We will definitely been returning to Saturn Palace Resort next year! Thank you everyone as always. Much love the Martin family X
