Best customer seevice and relarions. Milcah opasa and Nezime ever so helpful in resruarant.. The reception to guest relations..AcarDurak..over all a lovely atmosphere
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lovely hotel – just needs more family activities
We have had a lovely stay at Rixos Downtown Antalya. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The food is really nice, with plenty of choice, and overall the staff have been friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The main reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is the lack of activities around the pool for families. The kids’ club is separate, meaning children go into the club without their parents, and there isn’t a great deal going on around the pool that parents and younger children can enjoy together. A bit more music, games and family activities during the day would make such a difference. If there were more family activities around the pool, I would happily have given the hotel 5 stars.
I particularly want to mention Hesam Hemati Ghahfarokhi, one of the lifeguards. He has been absolutely lovely throughout our stay — incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive, and always made both me and my son feel welcome. He really is a credit to the hotel and deserves recognition for the way he treats guests.
The two football coaches were also amazing. My son absolutely loved doing football practice with them in the evenings. They were brilliant with him and it became something he really looked forward to each evening. It has definitely been one of the highlights of his holiday.
Overall, we have really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely, the food is good and there are some fantastic members of staff. Just a little more going on around the pool for families would have made this a 5-star review from us. ❤️
Lovely holiday
Food was great I also enjoyed the yoga and CrossFit classes. My 5 year old son loved the football matches every night the coaches were really good with him and the lifeguards were very friendly and helpful
Extremely fun place for young adults.
Location
Location is simply amazing. Enjoying a resort like this in "nearly" the heart of Antalya is amazing. If you take the elevator the beach is a 3-5 min walk away, if you enjoy football Antalyaspor stadium is also a 5 min walk away (Unfortunately at least for this year playing in the 2nd division.) If you want to go clubbing, taking a taxi from the hotel station to the Old Town costs aprox. 4-5$.
Value
I saw the price fluctuate aggressively between our booking date (April for a September stay) and closer to the stay. I would say that if you book in time and get the good pricing there is absolute value for this hotel.
Rooms
The rooms are amazing & the Cleanliness implecable. We stayed in the basic rooms and it really had all you needed. The bathroom was spacious, the room well equipped and the Mattress was surprisingly good. Even though we got the "bad view" room (towards the sport fields), being at a higher floor (7) made the view pretty good. Once you closed the balcony door the noise levels went to 0.
Amenities
I found all I needed in the room. The minibar is free and restocked with more than you can consume daily. Chocolate waffles, salty sticks, all the soft drinks from Coca-Cola, tea & coffee. Amenities were plentiful in the bathroom, more than me as a man would ever use, my girlfriend did complain about the Shampoo not leaving her hair the way she wanted. The TV is great, YouTube & Netflix available + The Hotel app offers all the information you might need (including connecting to the AI assistant). The AI assistant can be heavily used. For 90% of my questions and bookings (Spa & A la Carte Restaurants) the AI could handle the problem itself. The main restaurant is good. For the included free A la Carte dinner that you get with any stay over 4 nights, we chose Turunc. It was a very nice experience with food definitely over the main restaurant (Together with my friends we tried most of the menu. The slow cooked well done Entricote wasn't really my thing, but other than that all of food was very good.). The best food we had at the Hotel was for sure the UMI Japanese Restaurant (It is an extra 30EUR pp. experience, but surely worth it). Chef Hermawan prepared and amazing 7-course dinner with not only extremely well cooked meals (Including the first well cooked stake that I had at the hotel), but also a great show together with Adrian who is the waiter at the restaurant without who the experience would surely not be the same. Overall a superb way to spend dinner with a live cooking show.
We also tried the SPA on 2 occasions. 1st time we got a Hamam & Body Scrub, followed by a couples massage on the 2nd day. Both days we were treated very well by Winnie & Sumarmi and as a person who really likes SPA treatments I can say the quality level is high. The value here is up for debate as it was one of the most expensive SPAs I've seen in my life, but the quality was there.
As a Shisha fan, this was one of the best things i've experienced in the hotel. Available at the restaurants & bar but also by the pool, Mr. Erhan who is there until the closing hours of the last bars offers you not just a good shisha but a great Shisha experience. He was happy to teach us different secrets of how to "cook" a great shisha, he gave us a trying experience with his (i'm pretty sure) over 100 different Flavour options and overall he was a very warm person always helping us and constantly taking care and making sure our shisha session is going well.
Another must-make mention are the Workshops, definitely orriented more for kids one of my friends made us try 2 of them out (Sushi Workshop & Ceramics Workshop). They are very fun experiences even for young adults, especially done with friends or a partner. Other activities like Kangoo Jumps or Darts Tournaments completed the whole activity package at the hotel which is vast and surely covers every guest at the hotel.
Quick tip if you miss lunch (Sleeping after a night out or any other reason haha) the Snack Bar is amazing, you can get a fresh baked pizza and some great starters!
Staff
If you read my review until this point, you know I definitely had a great overall experience at this hotel. By far the best thing at the hotel and a deciding factor to making my experience the way it was were the people. This hotel had the best staff i've experienced in my life. Besides the people that i've already mentioned, the best people were the waiters at the Main Restaurant (Just to name a few, Ella, Steven, Rufaro & Jennie took great care of us, made sure we're comfortable, we have everything we need and also that our glasses were never empty.) Reception and the Experience managers were always there and ready to help with any questions you might have had.
