Ok I'm never one to write a review..but we went on reviews and eveyone was oh cant wait to come back etc so we booked..so I will give my honest opinion...first off would not return to this hotel..on arrival the lobby is lovely but when we saw room you could not swing a cat in there so we asked for another room as ours was not what was paid for but were told no fully booked...see pics..I've always done all inclusive and have always had a great time this hotel is not catered for uk tastes...from entertainment only a one or two English songs were played...to the food sorry im not into salad cauliflower potatoes for breakfast so lived on omelettes all week not a fab choice overall.... may suit some though....had high hopes when burgers were served one afternoon at poolside only to find pink in the middle...
the bar closes at 11pm and only soft drinks when at beach..the bar staff at the pool area were lovely but have to say drinks are watered down...I'm Scottish and know what a drink tastes like plus your only allowed one drink at a time sometimes you cant be bothered going to bar all the time most of the staff I didn't find friendly at all...that was until Turkish night when it looked like all staff had personality transplants all welcoming and clapping etc only to not acknowledge you next day..the pool area is lovely but no music was played no atmosphere at all...the gardens beautiful and the chap looking after gardens takes great pride in his work...they keep peacocks...quails..pigeons...and other birds...peacocks get out now and again...but the others don't personally I don't see the need..the cleaning staff were friendly enough but didn't clean balcony only changed bedding loo rolls and gave fresh towels..as I said I've been all inclusive before and I'm far from fussy but I did not enjoy this hotel at all..
Room not great dirty bedding food not great same every day , nice grounds apart from the bar , 1/2 pint beer glass 3/4 full and weak spirits can’t get drunk on it , all the decent beer you have to pay extra and no table service in or out , had better holidays but still had a good time with my sons , it is what you make it but won’t go back
This is a very honest review from english couple in our 30s 🌼
The hotel gardens and mountain backdrop is stunning. its a very chilled hotel in the daytime. Lots of cats and kittens... so cute! Expect no music/animations activities by the pool (there is light music around the snackbar). Darts was only on once in 10 days which was a shame. We all ended up making our own games in the pool... one blow up ball from the shop ended up bringing all nationalities together in the pool and we all put music on a speaker🤣 You wont have any issues getting sunbeds even after 11am!
The food was fab 😍 The chefs take pride in their cooking and presentation. Please remember this is a 4* in Turkey. There is always something for everyone... yes it can be a little repetitive but its very very nice.I Would not reccomend this hotel to vegans/veggies as not everything is labelled and you can never fully see what it is. The desserts are UNREAL!! Ice cream and snacks available all day. You will not be hungry 😍🙏
The drinks.... ☠️☠️☠️ not good at all. this was the biggest let down. They are 100% watered down and ill be told no different. im the biggest lightweight on the planet and even i couldnt get merry off them🤣 The cocktails are just juice and watered down "alcohol". A real shame! This was the biggest thing people mentioned when we were all chatting round the pool.
The entertainment is hit and miss. The 7 year birthday party was epic!!! however one night it was a violin and flute player.... they were great but it was very boring. The dancers are really fun.The disco caters for all nationalities and Melih was so much fun!!. Enjoy it... get involved with the russians/turkish when their tunes come on. Its loads of fun and we made loads of new friends by joining in with them and learning their culture 😍😍 It is very russian orientated which for some reason the english complain about but they have some really good songs and they love to party... what is there to complain about that 💖
The rooms are luck of the draw. some are very basic economy (not even a balcony) and some get the best views and location. we had an initial issue with the room as it wasnt what we paid for but this was resolved the next day thankfully. Alot of people said their issues were never resolved which is something to be wary of if the room is important.
Fully reccomend the jeep safari! The trip into the mountains was stunning and made our trip 😍 views were stunning!!
All in all this was a very relaxed but also very fun stay. The staff, food and hotel itsself is really lovely! I made lovely friends from around the world - very wholesome holiday! The drinks were dissapointing and need reviewing but it seems this is mentioned on alot of reviews. We will most definatley be coming back as I already miss it 🥹🥹💖🙏 xx
I have stayed at DG Hotels Rose Resort four times, and every visit has been amazing. This hotel always makes me feel special, welcome, and safe.
The food is delicious, the cocktails are fantastic, the hotel is spotless, and the surroundings are beautiful. But what makes this place truly unforgettable is the incredible staff. Every single employee is kind, caring, and always smiling. You can truly feel their warmth and hospitality.
This is the reason I keep coming back. Thank you to the entire team for making every stay so special. See you again soon!
We stayed here for a week in July.
This is a difficult review to write because there were genuinely some good things about the hotel. The pool area was lovely, clean and a great size. The outdoor dining area was really nice with lots of plants, the all-inclusive drinks included a good range of cocktails, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.
We booked this as a cheaper holiday, so we weren’t expecting luxury. We knew the rooms would probably be dated, and that wouldn’t have bothered us if they had been clean and well maintained.
Unfortunately, the room had black mould in the bathroom, the glasses and kettle weren’t clean enough to use, and the bedsheet even had a hole in it. These issues suggested standards weren’t what you’d expect from a four-star hotel.
The biggest problem, however, was the smell. When we first arrived there was a strange smell mixed with cleaning products, so we didn’t think much of it. As the week went on it became stronger and stronger until it was clearly the smell of mould and damp. By the final evening it was so overpowering that it made both of us feel nauseous every time we entered the room.
During the holiday my husband developed a sore throat, hoarse voice and runny nose, and I also developed a sore throat towards the end of the week. After arriving home and unpacking, every item of clothing in our suitcase smelt strongly of mould. Three days after leaving the hotel, both of us have started to feel much better.
We also noticed that many buffet dishes had no labels, making it impossible to know what they contained or whether they were suitable for vegetarians or people with food allergies or intolerances. Food that ran out was also often left empty for quite a while, even when eating early.
We spoke to other guests who said they had complained about black mould in their room and were told they could only move if they paid to upgrade. We can’t verify their experience ourselves, but it made us feel there was little point in complaining during our stay.
I have seen the hotel respond to many complaints questioning why the guest chose to still stay the whole week. The fact that this appears to be a recurring response to complaints raises a question in itself. If multiple guests feel they have no realistic option but to remain in unsuitable accommodation, that suggests the issue is not with the guests’ decision to stay, but with the lack of a reasonable solution being offered. The reason we stayed is that we’d already paid for the holiday and weren’t prepared nor should we have to spend even more money finding another hotel because our room wasn’t fit for purpose.
It’s a real shame because the hotel has so much potential. The shared facilities were genuinely enjoyable, but the condition of our room completely spoiled the holiday. Whatever the price of a holiday, guests should be able to expect a clean room that is free from mould and damp. For us, that is a basic standard, and unfortunately this hotel did not meet it.
