Not feeling safe and terrible service

, this hotel only deserves 3 stars, and all pictures and videos are a scam, so basically fake advertising, and weak safety precautions. Why I am thinking like that here is the answer, First, we arrived at the hotel around 1230 so we all know that check-in time is clearly 14:00; however, because of having a 5-month-old baby, I thought they might help us, but they forgot about helping me. They kept postponing our check-in time further. I asked them to check in around 1400; they said I did not claim I had a baby while booking at the hotel. They added my baby to the list, which I don't know why it took so long. Mrs Ece, who works as a receptionist, keeps saying, "We will call you once the room is ready." Around 1530, my dad asked one of the girls at the front desk and finally got the room. Well, I need to add this. No one will help you if you do not tip them. I am guessing employees do not get paid well… Second, we arrived in the room; the bathroom mirror had a big stain that looked like mold to me. There is a dead fly on the wall; we were not able to turn the AC on because no one explained to us that if the balcony door did not close completely, the AC would not start working… There was no explanation either around the AC or balcony door. Third, as you can see from the photos, the staff is extremely dirty, lacks qualifications, and is very rude. They do not use gloves while working in the background, which is the cooking area; they also prepare their breakfast there. There are flies everywhere. I wanted to drink white wine; the white wine was warm. Once I asked if there were any cold ones, I got an answer from their chief: NO SORRY, she said: “Well, our fridge is out of order; hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow”. Fourth, my mother and I would like to use the spa space, where we would like to have a Turkish bath by ourselves. They said, “If there is no client getting a spa and massage, you can use the area; otherwise, there is a small area behind this you can use there. Well, you will clearly see in the photo that this area was not ready for use. There were paint bottles, which looked dirty. We were shocked… Also, I was told this spa was closed 1800. That is ridiculous; I have never seen the hotel’s spa close at 6 pm, especially in this kind of touristic area. Lastly and more importantly, my parents, my 5-month-old baby, and I were stuck on the balcony under 45 c degree; we were not able to reach anybody to help us, nor our neighbors. Finally, one of our neighbors went outside and found somebody to help us. My baby was crying, and we were scared that my baby would have sunstroke. And the staff who helped us were smiling once he opened the balcony door. My mother and I talked with the manager of the hotel, Mr. Fikri. He apologized, and he said the balcony door was not able to open from the outside due to safety concerns. What safety concerns? We did not understand. This hotel was not safe; there were thieves around… we said, "Why not?" There was no sign that ppl would be aware of the situation. He was silent… You can see the YOUTUBE link to see how we were terrified… Coffee cups were dirty, the food tasted bad, and the staff did not care about anything… lifeguards looked at their phones and smoked all day long. I am sorry there are not enough pictures for everything, because at the end I was very tired of all that was happening.
So as a result, we continued to stay in this 3-star hotel and paid a 5-star hotel price. That was a gift to my parents. I want my money back.

Do not recommend

I’m currently staying at Crystal Aura with my daughter. I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 5 star experience on holiday. The accommodation is beyond basic, we have booked a double room with a terrace! The room is small and tiny cupboard space. The bathroom is very small with a shower and the water pressure in the shower is very weak. We had no cleaning for 3 days and only after persistent complaints to guests relations team, reception and house keeping our room was serviced. We got 2 fresh towels, no towels for feet and face, no toilet roll, no clean mugs for tea and coffee (we wash them ourselves); the floor is not clean. I would rate cleanliness as 2 from 5. Outdoors is another story. The hotel is overpopulated. It’s close to impossible to find a spot by the pool and the beach. We have to leave the room at 7 am to reserve two seats by the water and still don’t have much choice, as people reserve them even earlier. That is not a proper 5-star holiday. The other issue is getting lucky enough to get sun beds as there is a lack of sun umbrellas, which are essential in this temperature. In terms of restaurants- the hotel has a few good Ala cart options, where the staff is friendly and attentive. The main restaurant is however is overcrowded and it’s difficult to find a table to sit at, as people tend to occupy several seats at a time for a long time. The staff in the main restaurant is not helpful, so you can stand with your plate of food without finding a seat. No service at the main restaurant. If you go- go when it’s just open for dinner, then you might be lucky to have a table and enjoy the food. Yes, the food is good.

Huge disappointment

Five stars in this property is a total joke, and the room conditions are simply appalling. We checked in late in the evening after travelling all day. Instead of a prepared room, we were taken to one that hadn't been cleaned at all after the previous guests. The fact that nobody had cleaned it the entire day was disgraceful. Instead of that one, they showed us a ground-floor room that reeked of dampness and sewage from the drains, with a massive patch of mold in the bathroom. The employee guiding us brazenly claimed it was just "the smell of cleaning chemicals." Only after pointing directly at the mold on the wall did he admit I was right and take us to another room… which had the exact same mold issue. Finally, we were taken to a room on a higher floor. The elevator was broken, and the room itself was microscopic. It was so tiny you couldn't even open a suitcase properly to unpack; we literally had to jump over it just to move around. Exhausted from travelling and hauling our bags from room to room, we accepted it for the night. The next day, after our tour rep intervened, we were moved to an okay room. Except, once again, there was mold in the bathroom and that same foul stench of sewage coming from the pipes. Mold and drain odors in this hotel are clearly a standard feature, which is utterly unacceptable. Housekeeping is another total illusion—it was limited strictly to folding the bedding and swapping towels. The sink wasn't cleaned even once during our whole stay, and the bathroom trash bin was never emptied. The staff work like they're being forced to be there, and having a normal conversation in English is nearly impossible. The sole exception was one friendly bartender at the beach bar who actually took the time to chat. Do not waste your money on this place. Any positives are the bare minimum you'd expect anywhere, not what you pay for in a supposedly five-star resort. P.S. The photos attached show the condition of 4 different rooms we were shown during our stay.

This hotel has been my best experience yet ❤️

I would like to share my review of the hotel. The hotel grounds are vast. There are several themed restaurants (seafood, Turkish, Mexican, and Italian), a main restaurant, and a few snack bars. There is also a pastry shop and many spots for ice cream and drinks.

The sea is clean. The beach has fine pebbles. There are plenty of sun loungers, which are free for hotel guests.

There are three swimming pool areas, both for children and adults. There are three types of water slides. We traveled with our 4-year-old child, and she felt comfortable in the pool with the big slide and the shallow pool.

For children, there are animators, engaging activities every day, and an evening entertainment program (kids' discos, magic shows, etc.).

There is also an active nightlife for adults. Despite the fact that the entertainment area and pools are close to the hotel rooms, the soundproofing in the room is excellent. We couldn't hear our neighbors at all. The room is equipped with air conditioning, a TV, essential furniture, and a comfortable bed and pillows (which is very important to me). We stayed in the central pavilion with a sea view.

I would like to highlight the exceptionally delicious coffee in the pastry shop, the luxurious selection of food in the main restaurant, and the incredibly tasty cuisine in the Turkish restaurant. I fell in love with Turkish cuisine and this hotel.

By the way, you can walk from the hotel to the central grocery market (open only on Mondays) and the souvenir area in about 20 minutes.

Ok

Unfortunately, our hotel room was very disappointing. We could not sleep properly for 10 days because of the constant noise. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and made our stay even more unpleasant. In addition, most of the staff spoke very little or no English, which made communication difficult. On the positive side, the beach and the sea were excellent. The swimming pools were amazing, and the food was very good with plenty of choices.
