- Asteria Kemer Resort

Located on Turkey's Mediterranean coast in the small town of Çamyuva, this extensive complex enjoys a great location overlooking the turquoise sea and with a backdrop of the Taurus Mountains. Suitable for most ages, this luxury hotel has a range of leisure and sporting activities occupying an area measuring more than 22.6 hectares. The pebble beach stretches for 235 m and as well as providing sunbeds and umbrellas, there are private cabanas which can be hired. Other features include a buffet and à la carte restaurants, a couple of bars and the Monkey Nightclub. Kemer is a short ride by public transport. Promo room doesn't have balcony and it is forest view.
One of the highlights of our stay was definitely Efe. From the very first day, he was incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help. He made us feel welcome and comfortable, and his positive energy brightened every day of our holiday. It is rare to meet someone who genuinely cares about guests and always has a smile on his face. Efe is a real asset to the hotel, and we are very grateful for everything he did for us. Thank you, Efe, for making our vacation so special. We hope to see you again one day!
We stayed at this hotel in June 2026, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
We arrived during the night and were willing to pay extra for early check-in, but were told it was impossible and that we had to wait until 12:00 PM. As a result, guests were sleeping wherever they could — in the lobby, on couches, and even outside. At 7:00 AM we were allowed to have breakfast, which we appreciated.
When we returned to reception at 12:00 PM, we were told that our room was still not ready. At 2:00 PM we were told to wait another 30 minutes. Eventually, we were taken by buggy to a different building located about 4 minutes away from the main hotel.
There, we were informed that we would have to either walk or take transportation to the main building for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The walk took around 15 minutes. The beach was also not directly accessible and required a 20-minute walk through another hotel’s territory. Calling this a “first-line beachfront hotel” is very misleading.
The room and surrounding area were shocking. The entire complex looked abandoned, with almost no guests around. The furniture was damaged, doors barely opened, there was mold in the bathroom, the fire safety detector was broken, and exposed electrical wires were visible outside the room. The overall condition was unacceptable.
We specifically booked accommodation in the main building. However, we were told that all “Standard” rooms were located in the second building. Then we were offered an upgrade to the main building for an additional €50 per night — a total of €450 for our stay. We were not the only guests facing this issue; many others experienced exactly the same situation. When we complained and mentioned contacting the authorities, we were suddenly told that there were no available rooms in the main building. If there were no available rooms, why were we being offered one for an extra charge? Eventually, we felt forced to pay the additional €450 to stay in the main building.
The food was generally good, but very repetitive. After a few days, it became boring because the menu rarely changed. The seafood restaurant was nice. There was also an Italian restaurant, but we never managed to get a reservation because it only operated twice a week and was always fully booked. The waiters were friendly, professional, and one of the few positive aspects of the hotel.
Housekeeping in the main building was also disappointing. The room was not cleaned properly, bed sheets were never changed during our stay, only towels were replaced and trash removed. The minibar was never refilled. We also experienced insects in the bed, likely due to the many cats roaming freely around the hotel and even inside restaurant areas. In the evenings, there were large numbers of cockroaches around the pool.
Our package was for 9+1 nights. Since our flight was scheduled for late at night on the final day, we expected some flexibility regarding check-out. Instead, at exactly 12:00 PM we received a call telling us to be at reception within 30 minutes to return our room cards.
Overall, I genuinely do not understand how this hotel has a 5-star rating. The only positives were the friendly restaurant staff and decent food. Everything else — especially the check-in process, room conditions, cleanliness, and misleading accommodation practices — left a very negative impression.
Our family spent ten days at The Norm Oriental Hotel, and overall we are leaving with many wonderful memories and a pleasant holiday experience.
The hotel is modern, beautifully designed, well maintained, and immediately creates the impression of a premium resort.
We would especially like to praise the Lobby Bar, which became one of our favorite places during our stay. The service was consistently friendly and attentive, and the Turkish coffee was outstanding every single time.
The À La Carte Restaurant also deserves special recognition. The quality of the food, the flavors, the presentation, and the service truly reflected five-star standards.
The SPA facilities and massage treatments were another highlight of our stay.
We would also like to compliment the animation team and the Kids Club staff. Their organizational skills, enthusiasm, and the way they managed the daily activities were excellent. They created a wonderful atmosphere for children and families throughout our holiday.
The Aquapark, together with the separate children’s water park, was impressive, visually attractive, safe, and a fantastic experience for kids.
The technical production of the evening entertainment was also outstanding. The stage design, lighting, LED screens, sound system, and overall installations were truly professional and created an impressive atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the content of the evening shows often did not match the quality of the production. While the technical execution was excellent, many performances lacked a clear concept, creativity, or storyline that would make them truly memorable.
There were, however, several areas that need improvement.
Although the quality of the food in the main restaurant was good, the selection was surprisingly limited and repetitive for a hotel of this category.
In addition, we experienced several organizational issues in the main restaurant. Cutlery was often missing and had to be requested, some plates were not properly cleaned, and tables occasionally remained uncleared for an extended period.
Our biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. On several occasions, basic amenities such as toilet paper were not replaced, even when it was obvious that the roll had been completely used. We also had to request a simple ashtray repeatedly over several days despite informing both reception and housekeeping staff. These are basic services that should operate seamlessly in a five-star hotel.
Despite these shortcomings, we leave with many wonderful memories. The atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing, the public areas are beautiful, most of the staff are friendly and welcoming, and we especially enjoyed the lovely cats living around the property, which add a unique charm to the resort.
If the hotel improves its housekeeping standards, restaurant organization, food variety, and the creative quality of the evening entertainment, The Norm Oriental has every opportunity to become one of the finest five-star resorts in the region.
Thank you for the memorable stay.
I love the animation team especially Murat
I would need a lot to write about. The service is very poor when it comes to 50% of the staff. The staff that are friendly can make your holiday but there are stuff members that are very rude ,egoistic and can’t take an advise. I made very good friends with some staff members and helped me in any case I needed help. A big shout out deserves Yigit Balabanoglu(helped me as a friend always not as a client) The animator Murat has a very good humor and always acted right. The main building looks very good and the food is 7/10(good). I had to complain everyday about the same thing over and over and over (about the room service or housekeeping. I will attach some pictures with names from people that always were good to me. Some of the staff are not kid friendly at all and can ignore kids. The last day I was there they made me wait for a pizza for 1.5h while people were getting the food in 5 min. And this is the type of behaviour that they have with clients. In the end I spoke with the general manager and told everything. Hope they will change something. Yigit Balabanoglu Deserves a pay raise and upper position.
