This hotel is located in Evrenseki, approximately 9 kms from the popular resort of Side. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and disco as well as a kids' club. In the lobby, guests will find a 24-hour reception, currency exchange and lift access to the upper floors. Further facilities available include a hairdressing salon, games room, cafe, pub, conference facilities and a car park. Each room features an en- suite bathroom and private balcony or terrace. They are also equipped with satellite TV, a mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests are welcomed to the swimming pools and SPA centre with various treatments.
We went to Sultan of Side for a week in August, just got back. There were 6 of us. We were the only English guests there. Full off Germans and Russians. Air-conditioning in one of the rooms was leaking. Bathrooms small and humid. My son had an upset stomach whilst there. Met a Czech couple and he had had a bad stomach for 3 days also. My friends son bit into his chicken and it wasn't cooked, completely pink inside. He too it back to show her and she just thew in the bin.
Most of the staff are rude and unfriendly. Never experienced this in Turkey before. The odd one was friendly. Also most don't speak any English.
The evening entertainment was good and the entertainment staff were very nice
Would I go back. Absolutely not and I've never said that about a hotel in Turkey, having been about 8 times before
I've never written a review before but felt I should in case English people are considering it
We had a great holiday, but it wasn't because of this hotel and it's staff.
We enjoyed our stay here! The room were tidy, the food was great for the budget, and the also the alcohol thanks to Mehmet from the reception bar! The staff was very friendly the entire stay. The pool is also nice, not so busy. The only minus is the beach that is a little bit too far away from the hotel and there is no shuttle bus. The beach on its own is very nice, large with a lot of sun beds. Overall, is a nice experience at Sultan of Side, even if you are on a budget!!!🥰
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sultan of Side! The staff were welcoming and friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent with lots of variety. The pool and beach areas were beautiful and always well-kept, and the entertainment team kept things fun without being over the top.
I absolutely loved the spa and wellness facilities at Sultan of Side. The staff were professional, welcoming, and really made me feel comfortable. The hammam and sauna were spotless and very relaxing, and the massage I had was one of the best I’ve experienced. For that reason, I scheduled 3 more during my stay. . Vedat, the therapist, has a magic touch and took away all the stress I brought here with me. He is AMAZING!
A wonderful place to unwind and recharge during your holiday!
A great place to relax and enjoy – I would definitely come back!
On the positive side, it's a nice hotel with 2 outdoor swimming pools, one more suited for children and younger audiences, very close to the water slides, another one for adult swimming with lovely clean water and very well maintained. The life guards are very experienced and very kind and considering, absolute delight and children friendly. Rooms are spacious with minimalist modern decor, look inviting and comfortable, very comfortable mattresses make for a very good night rest. Food at the restaurant is excellent quality, clearly very skillful chef and souschefs, as well as all others who do the actual cooking. Front desk service is good. There are, however, a lot of things that need urgent improvement. Considering that this is a five star hotel, cleaning procedures at the restaurant must be changed ASAP, the personnel do their jobs as quickly as they possibly can, but there isn't enough of them, the tables aren't cleaned with disinfectant and as the result there was a gastrointestinal outbreak with a lot of families go down with a stomach bug. The food served and prepared was clearly fresh and well cooked but due to poor cleaning procedures either viral or bacterial infection wasn't illiminated. Restaurant management treated restaurant personnel very incorrectly using poor language and threats, knowing well that they were short staffed. As the result service staff looked overworked, tired, unable to communicate with guests, always in a rush to clean. Meals were rushed and there was always a feeling of being unwanted by the restaurant management. There were pots for Turkish tea, but they were always empty, machines ran out of hot water, there was on one occasion a lack of tea bags, one breakfast there wasn't enough milk, coffee was only available from the machine, no orange juice, one breakfast there was no butter, only margarine. We overheard that restaurant staff weren't paid for September and our holiday was at the end of October, this may not apply to all members of staff, but very unlikely to boost their morale and remain friendly with the guests. Spa facilities are spacious staffed with very professional employees, massage treatments were a true delight, thanks to Natalie and Victor, real professionals. But the sauna temperature didn't go further than 65C and on many days was around 60, which is unacceptably low, the steam room was out of order. On another positive side there are two hamams, one cooler for people with underlying health conditions and another one very warm and nicely kept. SPA facilities were clean and well maintained. The gym is small and poorly ventilated, not a pleasant experience, particularly when busy, and poorly disinfected. Rooms were cleaned regularly, but again there should be urgent change in cleaning procedures, the bathroom was done well, but not the floor in the room, the cleaners did their job, but with no wet cleaning and no disinfectants the floor always felt not properly done. Bedding was clean and so were the towels but there was no bathrobes, soap only in dispensers, no toothpaste, no hair conditioner, perhaps not a requirement but all other 5 stars hotels we've previously been staying at a huge number of times, all had these additional things. The general feeling at this hotel is that it is an excellent facility with great potential to offer guests a fantastic relaxing holiday but lacking good management, too focused on cost cutting and savings in the customer facing areas, poor treatment of customer facing employees, poor cleaning procedures and as the result an outbreak of stomach bug epidemic. It is without a doubt a good value for money experience that has gone too far in their cost cuttings.
We stayed at Sultan of Side as a family of five with two teenagers and had a very good overall experience.
The hotel was clean and well maintained. Our apartment with two bedrooms was fresh, comfortable, and cleaned daily, which made the stay very convenient for a larger family.
Food was a strong point — there was a wide variety of fresh and beautifully presented dishes. You can really eat throughout the day, whether at the main restaurant, pool bar, or beach bar, as there is always something available to snack on.
Animation and activities were enjoyable, with plenty going on for both children and adults. The hotel is also well located, with shops within walking distance. There are also several shops on-site, as well as a spa, hairdresser, and a photographer.
The only downside was the beach, which felt quite crowded, and the Wi-Fi connection was weak, which sometimes caused stress, especially during flight check-in.
Overall, it was a very good holiday and the hotel offers great value for money for a family of five. I would recommend it
