With "The Land of Legends" Rixos have created a novel theme park concept that combines all aspects of a fun-filled vacation. It's an entertainment destination for a new generation; a destination for legendary fun, exciting adventures and fun shopping. Located in this awe-inspiring park is The Kingdom Hotel, the first and only hotel in Turkey designed especially for children. The guest rooms and suites are inspired by fairy tales, which become legendary memories.
Hotel Information
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as an indoor pool, a sauna and a fitness centre. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room. Getting to the surf and sand is a breeze with the complimentary beach shuttle.

Our Review of The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel
Arrival and Check-In
On arrival, we were checked in very quickly. The reception staff were polite, helpful and welcoming. As we landed in the early hours of the morning, sandwiches were arranged and sent to our room, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The sandwiches were also very nice.
Rooms
We booked a Junior Suite, which was a beautiful room, very clean and tidy.
Unfortunately, we had to leave our original room due to noise, as we were travelling with our autistic teenage son, who can struggle with loud noise. The management team were very understanding and sorted the situation out for us very quickly, which we really appreciated.
The minibars in the rooms are free of charge and are refilled daily. If you want extra drinks, there is a 24-hour bar downstairs where you can get drinks to take back to your room and put in your fridge.
The air conditioning could be slightly better, as we sometimes found it switched itself off during the night.
The two single beds were very comfortable. However, I personally found the double bed quite hard and a little uncomfortable. This is down to personal preference, as other guests may find it perfectly comfortable. A mattress topper was brought to us, but unfortunately, it didn’t make much difference.
Our Personal Assistant – Betül
One of the biggest highlights of our holiday was the excellent help we received from our personal assistant, Betül. Honestly, we don’t know what we would have done without her! She helped make our holiday so much better.
If you had a question or needed something sorting, you could simply text your assistant, and they would get back to you very quickly. Things were dealt with promptly, without having to spend time waiting around or chasing people.
We were also celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary while we were away, and our personal assistant arranged for a lovely cake and card to be delivered to our room. This was such a lovely surprise and a really thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated.
The service we received from Betül was outstanding, and we cannot thank her enough for helping to make our holiday extra special.
Waterpark and Theme Park
The theme park wasn’t really for us, as our son isn’t keen on the rides, although we did enjoy having a walk around. Everything looked very clean and tidy.
The waterpark was the main reason we chose this hotel, and our son absolutely loved it! We had Fast Track wristbands, which were extremely helpful for our family.
We tried to visit in the mornings when it was a little quieter, which worked well for our son. It meant we could enjoy the slides he wanted to go on without the experience becoming too overwhelming for him.
The waterpark was also very clean and well maintained.
Food and Drinks
We had lunch at Mango Restaurant in the waterpark, and we couldn’t complain about the food. There was a good selection, and the choice of ice cream was amazing!
We’ve never seen so many different ice cream flavours in one place. Usually, you’re limited to a few basic flavours, but here there was plenty of choice, which is great for children.
Another big plus is that food and drinks at the waterpark are included in the hotel price. We thought this was excellent, as food and drinks are not always included at waterparks elsewhere.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the main hotel restaurant. We went down for breakfast every morning apart from one. We’re not usually big breakfast people, but we really enjoyed what we had. There was a good selection of food available, with plenty of choice to suit different tastes.
Dinner
Dinner in the main hotel restaurant was very nice, with plenty of choice. We’ve never seen so many desserts in one place! There was something for everyone, and the desserts were lovely. There was also a good selection of ice creams.
One thing I would recommend improving is the labelling of the ice cream flavours in the main restaurant. For some reason, the flavours didn’t seem to be labelled, and not all the staff could understand English well enough to explain them. At the waterpark, the flavours were explained to us, so it was a little strange that this wasn’t the case in the main restaurant. Clear labels would make things much easier for guests.
Milkshakes
The milkshakes in the main hotel were quite nice. However, we didn’t enjoy the ones at the waterpark as much, and I think these could be improved.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping was very good throughout our stay. Our room was kept nice and clean, and the bedding was refreshed. We were happy with the standard of cleanliness.
Activities and Games Room
We didn’t take part in any of the organised activities. Although we understand that many of these are aimed at younger children, the main reason was that our son doesn’t manage very well in crowds, so these activities weren’t really suitable for him.
There was a PlayStation and a selection of games available free of charge, which was a nice option for older children and teenagers. We used the PlayStation a couple of times and tried some of the games. Unfortunately, some of the games were broken and didn’t seem to be very well maintained, so this is an area that could do with some attention.
Spa
The spa was lovely, very clean and tidy. We used the swimming pool and sauna during our stay, and the staff were very polite and helpful.
Overall Experience
Overall, we had a lovely holiday at The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel. The waterpark was a huge hit with our son, the food offered plenty of choice, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was very good.
What really stood out for us was the way the management team responded when we experienced problems with noise. Travelling with an autistic teenager can sometimes bring extra challenges, and having understanding staff who were willing to help made a real difference to our stay.
A special thank you to Betül, who went above and beyond to help us. Having someone we could contact directly and who would deal with things quickly made our holiday much easier and more enjoyable.
The lovely anniversary cake and card were also a wonderful surprise and made our 20th wedding anniversary extra special.
There are a few areas that could be improved, such as the air conditioning, ice cream labelling and maintenance of the games, but overall, we had a very positive experience and made some lovely memories as a family.

Incredible hotel
We had the most amazing week at the kingdom hotel. From the first day to the last everything was incredible excellent service provided.All the staff was so polite and very helpful. The food was 10/10 so much variety we loved it. All the waiters and waitresses did a great job! A special thanks to the kids kingdom club they provided so much fun activities for the kids and the staff are brilliant. So kind and caring. We really enjoyed the family quiz night hosted by Frat he is such an amazing person and the kids loved him he is so fun. All the staff at kingdom club work so hard.Also Betul ,Mert ,Halil and Arzu and the reception so helpful. Everything at this hotel was so good we would highly recommend and will hopefully visiting again. All the staff at this hotel was always smiling and hard workers. From me and my family thanks xx

FANTASTIC
Great experience with all that we did here. Hotel is very beautiful , the hotel personal were so kind and politley, the aqua park so beautiful also with a lot of things to do there, we loved also the dolphin show ...all fantastic for us.
Family Holiday
We stayed at the land of legends at the end of September as a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 4. This is an honest review written to help others. The hotel itself was clean and well presented. The room was great, with the mini bar stocked every day free of charge. The kids loved the sweet buffet! Kids club was a really good set up. For all the people saying that there was nothing for the kids to do at night- kids club was open from 10am -10pm most days. They had activities scheduled in every hour, with a kids disco. Nickelodeon land was open till10pm, which is great for the younger kids. There was other stuff going on at night such as shows in the shopping mall, but we didn’t bother as we didn’t feel the need as by that time the kids were tired out. We went to a Nickelodeon Halloween spectacular show, which was really good. The main annoyance for us was that parts of the water and theme parks were closed (they have obviously done this to reduce the number of staff needed to run the slides/rides. It looked like they had closed some of the older parts of the park and kept the newer areas open. This wasn’t a massive issue for us as it wasn’t busy, and we found enough to fill the days. The water in the pools was freezing! I will say that you did get used to it once in the water, but my youngest was shivering and this put her off going in the water. Hotel guests can get drinks (soft and alcoholic drinks) using your wristband. It was very difficult to work out where you could get these from. You have to look out for the kingdom points. We only found one place for ice cream near to nickelodeon land! The alcoholic drinks were available from the bar near the wave shock pool and also the bar by the hot tubs (don’t be fooled by the name... the hot tubs were freezing!!) Hotel guests can also get towels using their wrist bands at the water park. It is worth knowing that you can go to the Rixos hotel during your stay as many times as you want. You book this at Guest Relations 48hrs in advance. The bus picks you up at LOL at 12:50pm and leaves the Rixos at 5:50pm. Whilst there you can have access to the all-inclusive food, drinks etc. It kind of broke up the week for us and allowed us to relax, we chose to go twice! I would advise downloading the legendary app, as it gives you real time information about shows, character meet and greets and other important things going on. It was on the app that we noticed a lot of the rides/slides were closed (this was around 3 weeks before we left). The same rides/slides were still closed when we were there, which made us think it is due to reducing staff when it is not in season rather than maintenance. Overall, we had a great holiday but felt a little let down by some parts of the park being closed as this is not what it is sold as!! I would advise anyone thinking of booking from now up to the start of high season, to do their research into whether ride/slide closures will be in place. I do think that the water park is due to close in October sometime!
