Arrival & First Impressions

We already knew the hotel from the outside and from the beach, as we had stayed at two hotels just a couple of properties away before. We arrived at around 2 pm. At reception, they asked for our voucher, and one of the Guest Relations team immediately took us upstairs to the restaurant for lunch. That was a big plus for me right from the start.

By the end of lunch, our room was ready. It was in the very back of one of the side buildings, but that actually meant it was wonderfully quiet, so we were perfectly happy with the location.

The Room

We booked a Deluxe Standard Room. It had one French double bed, one regular single bed and an extra bed, so there was plenty of space for the four of us and it never felt cramped.

We also received a lovely anniversary decoration, followed later by a bottle of wine and a fruit platter, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay. ❤️

The bathroom was fine as well. We already knew that the hotel was not brand new, so this did not come as a surprise, but it is true that both the rooms and the hotel in general would benefit from a renovation.

That being said, we were still very happy with our room. The mattresses were thick, although they were clearly quite worn out. We nevertheless slept very well. 😄 (At my 50 kg, I probably didn’t put quite as much pressure on the mattress as some people would, so it didn’t bother me particularly.)

The toilet was constantly running and making a little “sniffing” noise from the very first flush. I reported it through the hotel app the next morning and it was fixed the same day, so there was really nothing to complain about regarding the service.

Our room was 3122, and as I mentioned, we actually really liked it.

Food & Restaurants 🍔🍟🍕🍨🍰🧁

The food selection was good, everything was fresh and there was a grill station at every meal. There was also plenty for the children to eat.

Spaghetti with Neapolitan sauce was literally available at EVERY SINGLE MEAL 😂🙈

The köfte was very well seasoned and even the kids enjoyed it, which was definitely a plus.

Of course, everyone’s taste is different, but we always found something we liked. One day there were various spreads at lunch and I literally ate bread rolls with hummus because their fresh hummus was THAT good. 😍

We also tried the buffet dinner at the Turkish restaurant one evening. The kebab meat was freshly prepared there as well, and we had another very good meal.

We visited both the Oriental and Italian à la carte restaurants, and both were very good.

During the day, you can get something like fast food at the Beach Bar — burgers, kebab meat in a bread roll, etc. The options changed, but everything we tried was tasty.

There was also gözleme. The queue could be quite long, but it was absolutely worth waiting for — it was delicious!

The Turkish restaurant also operates as a casual/fast-food restaurant during the day, so there was another option if you didn’t want to go to the main restaurant.

Drinks & Bars 🍹🍸🍷

You can get drinks pretty much anywhere, all day long.

The coffee in the main restaurant isn’t great, but fortunately there is a coffee shop in the Lobby, as well as the patisserie in the afternoon. The coffee at both of these places was really good.

As for the bars, the indoor Aquarius Bar is always open. There is also the Dolphin Bar at the back, by the relax pool, and the Lykia Bar at the front, which is also open during the evening shows. My favourite bartender worked there in the evenings. 😊

They have their own cocktails, although they tend to be very syrupy and very sweet. However, they can make pretty much anything you ask for, from Piña Colada to Mojito.

There aren’t many big international alcohol brands available — for example, I couldn’t get an Aperol — but I’m perfectly happy with a good Gin & Tonic, so this wasn’t a major issue for me.

Activities & Entertainment

The animation team was one of the highlights of our stay.

They were incredibly friendly, always happy to chat, and they had a great sense of humour. They always had time for a quick conversation and were genuinely enthusiastic and energetic. I know it’s their job, but still — it really made a difference.

They did a one-hour pool foam party in 35°C heat and were going all out on the beach, sometimes even jumping into the pool with us. It was great fun!

The kids’ club was also excellent. We left the children there twice, and they absolutely loved it both times.

The evening mini disco and show are a fixed part of our family holidays, and we always look forward to them. The entertainment itself was perhaps a little weaker than what we personally prefer, although their own dance team was actually very talented.

One thing we particularly liked was the schedule: the mini disco started at 8:15 pm and the show at 9:00 pm. At some hotels everything starts much later, so with younger children this schedule was much more practical. By around 10 pm, the kids could already go to bed.

Overall

For us, this hotel delivered everything we were looking for, and we had a really great time.

Yes, the hotel definitely deserves a renovation. But it also deserves a chance, because the staff genuinely do everything they can to make sure you have a great holiday.

If you’re not the type of person who focuses on every little imperfection, this is a place where you can have a really relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

And last but not least: the hotel has a 50-metre Olympic-size swimming pool, which is something not every resort can boast about. 🏊‍♀️

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would happily come back.

Lovely hotel very clean and always smelt divine in the reception/indoor areas. Staff very friendly and helpful. No rush for sunbeds this was just bliss! Lovely beach great stay for teenagers.

My only Criticism would be the restaurant, it was just too busy, was never offered drinks when seated, no free tables it was packed and I mean packed! The food was good but was always half empty! people really load up their plates and it just goes to waste. Such a shame. So greedy! The man in the clothes shop inside the hotel could try smiling 🙂 Entertainers were also great! Overall good hotel won’t go back as we like to try new hotels, but worth a visit
